Sounds like you went through the the good/neutral route instead of going genocide route. Even then it's not worth playing, I honestly only watched the final boss fight with the skelly in the hoodie the BGM was bretty good for it.

He probably mentions the most interesting stuff in that fight such as him being a scientist before and "detecting an anomaly" who is the player. His non-chalant attitude is attributed to the fact that every time a player starts a new game the world is reset(creating parallel realities) and he pretty much gave up on trying since all that will happen is that his world will get set back to the beginning of the game especially if players went through the good/neutral route. In the Genocide route it's implied that the player stops this cycle by destroying his world and he realizes this and steps in at the last minute to stop it.

TL;DR Could have just watched a 15 minute video of the best route and saved yourself the pain of actually playing through it

I liked the father dude guy's music mainly because it actually sounded like it fit the trashy graphics and there's a part like a minute in where it felt like chiptune trumpets were playing.

I think the music is genuinely well made for the most part, though there were songs like the true final boss that were kitschy as hell. It had a few novel gameplay ideas as well, but overall it's a pretty poorly designed game.

I suppose so. I honestly don't get the fascination indies have with Earthbound. It's an amusing game, but you can draw from more things than just that. And most games that try to copy it completely miss the mark. LISA was the only game with a similar style of humor that still tried to be its own thing, and it took inspiration from way more things.

The rest of the dialog is about making you feel bad for killing a character that tried to kill you first instead of fucking off when you gave it a chance

Its not what you think, you have the option to "insult" in a kiddie-friendly way which lowers the magic attributes of the NPC during the turn-based fights so you do more damage

He kinda alludes to his past in the True Pacifist final boss. If you reset a couple times after he gives his judgement speech, he'll catch on and eventually give you the key to his room.

There's another key in his room that leads to a basement workshop behind their house.
The stuff you'll find there will vary a bit depending on some random shit you do. e.g. if you decide not to stay with goatmom in the True Pacifist ending, the group photo taken will be found there if you reset.

Another curious thing is if you ask around in Snowdin early on, some of the monsters will tell you Sans and Papyrus just appeared out of nowhere one day, but acted like they knew the place.
Sans's past as a scientist heavily implies he was at least present in an event that wiped something off the timeline/deleted itself from the game. Among other things, some colleagues of his (maybe), and most notably, weeaboo lizard's predecessor, W.D. Gaster.
Gaster designed/built all the important shit you find in the Underground (the Cannon's Core (webm related :^) ), at least designed the DT Extractor), but only remnants of his existence remain. He's probably not dead either. Dude's a mystery all on his own.

The Pointless is absolutely fantastic and I honestly rate it higher than the actual games in several regards. It's about as long, requires you to actually manage resources to avoid getting easily wiped, and you're restricted to two characters that compliment eachother rather than having four with more standard RPG roles. Original music is great (primarily sourced from other goofier LISA fangames), a couple new renditions of official tunes. Apparently it was good enough that W2D or whatever the hell is his alias declared it canon since it doesn't actually intersect with Brad or Buddy's journeys at any point outside of a couple Rando Army NPCs popping up

I played genocide run and the pacifist run. I had a cousin who wanted to play. Also kept replaying sans and genocide undyne(fish dyke) fights plus a couple others. But I still don't think that adds up I don't know I reddited through this game.

From a gameplay standpoint it does things things better than Dishonored because resolving fights peacefully was actually designed to be more fun, or at least more interesting than just killing them. Dishonored's problem was that 90% of your gear being lethal meant that the morality aspect felt like the game was trying to make you feel bad for having fun.
