Why is this man the only president I have seen in my lifetime to keep his campaign promises?

Trump is the only president in my life who is actually keeping his campaign promises

Granted, his promises were pretty shitty. But hes actually keeping them.

Executive Order 13765

Memorandum for the Heads of Executive Departments and Agencies: Regulatory Freeze

Also:

Executive Order: Reducing Regulation and Controlling Regulatory Costs

Presidential Memorandum: Withdrawal of the United States From the Trans-Pacific Partnership Negotiations and Agreement

Presidential Memorandum: Mexico City Policy

Presidential Memorandum: Hiring Freeze (its just the start)

Executive Order 13766

Presidential Memorandum:Streamlining Permitting and Reducing Regulatory Burdens for Domestic Manufacturing

Executive Order 13767

Executive Order 13768

Executive Order: Protecting the Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry Into The United States

Executive Order: Ethics Commitments by Executive Branch Employees (Granted, stopping congressmen and senators from becoming lobbyists is in my opinion the only good thing he's done, it is kinda outweighed by the fact that his cabinet has top financial execs on it)

National Security Presidential Memorandum 3: Plan to Defeat the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria

Im not supporting any of this, but I gotta say… he is doing ALOT of shit, and most of it is keeping campaign promises.

He's actually doing what he said he would do.

Every politician has said they will protect private property and capitalism and thats exactly what they do, what are you talking about?

Hello Holla Forums.

Well yeah lol
His agenda doesn't really challenge the system especially when you look at the details

im talking about all the crazy, stupid shit Trump said he would do. and hes actually doing it. Im talking about why it had to be Trump to keep his promises. I would be happier if fucking Bush jr kept his promises instead of trump.

Because he's the only one that wasn't grown and handpicked by them. He's playing for his own team and his friends instead of the old establishment.

Yeah, I think everyone is a little surprised.

There's nothing crazy nor stupid about the things he's done so far.

Too bad his campaign promises are shit.

it really does dispel the myth of obama being this powerless president who was constantly being impeded by congress

In the future this will hopefully make it harder for politicians to prove to people they are not being able to fulfill their promises.

He's done a few good things with that said, I don't like the fact that he's removing regulations on business or the fact that he doesn't believe in climate change. With that said, the former really pisses me off even if I agree with his immigration, trade and infrastructure stances.

Obama dealt
Obama at least had a democratic majority congress/senate at various times during his presidency.

Trump is 100% republican. very little opposition comparitively

Correct, Obama had a supermajority, far bigger majority than Trump in his first two years and also had very high approval coming, and a gloating media that would cover for anything he did. He could have done anything he wanted….and he did do exactly what he wanted.

When the democrats did have control over congress and the senate early in Obama's first term he used his power to give billions of tax payer dollars to failing auto-manufacturer porkies under the guise of "keeping jobs". What ended up happening was the auto-manufacturers still moved jobs overseas and still came out billions of dollars ahead.
Obama was ultra-capitalism with a friendly face.

The fact that he is quickly following through with all his promises and the fact that he is constantly being attacked from all angles seems to confirm that he is a rogue element, he wasn't supposed to win.
He has proven to be highly intelligent and strategic by defeating everything the establishment has thrown at him. The question is what is his motivation? Personal power? Fixing what he perceives as faults?
He seems dangerous, but I'm interested in seeing where it goes nonetheless.

His infrastructure is good. And i got to say his lobbyist bill was needed 10 years ago.

The wall is a Hoxha-tier plan.
lowering regulations on business i think is shit…
Hes going to lower taxes on wealthy as well, in all likelihood. Taxes are already basically the lowest on the top earners as they have been since the 1920's

I agree. fuck that. Businesses should NEVER be fucking bailed out by tax payer money. If a business fails, FUCK THEM. there will only be a new business, with fresh employees take its place and grow.

No, he was not supposed to win at all, judging by the leaked podesta emails, he was supposed to be easily defeated.
Hmm. I think ego. Which could end up good, or bad. His ego could make him strive to do everything he promises and become an amazing president. But more often than not, the ego causes people to act against others interests.
i guess we're all in it for the ride, eh?

So far he seems like a mixed bag. With that said, revolution will still always be necessary so long as capitalism reigns supreme in America.

I agree with the nazbol. first time for everything.

Obama had a real Majority, Trump has problems in congress, and Obama used his to fucking do absolute faggot tier Porky handouts, he slapped Wall Street on the back when ONE time in the past 89 years he could have done almost anything and they would have obeyed.

Shit bailout, Shit healthcare, shit security state laws, the guy was 100% a piece of shit and I repsect Trump far more, I never thought Trump was a man of principle but he is and he's doing it against most of his party and even his SOS.

You make some pretty damn good points

YEA BUT HES KEEPING OUT MUSLIMS FROM IMMIGRATING HERE
FUCK DRUMPF AND FUCK WHITE PEOPLE

Capitalism is going nowhere. Capitalism IS America. The best we can hope for is solid regulation to keep it from destroying the country with runaway inflation.

what's the point of congress again?

The American political system is just weak. Nothing indicates he is highly intelligent to me, what makes you think so aside from his win?

It seems that he was the optimal man to piss off libs, which got the right wing hard as a diamond at the thought of him winning, and he also was just populist enough to sort of rationalize it all. It seems like the obvious contradictions in so many interviews with random trump MAGAs implies they just like that he pissed the libs off so much, and they wanted to believe he would be good for them.

These people were really fucking pissed and riled up by conservative media.

Thanks.

I say let it burn at this point. We can either rip off the band-aid quickly or slowly prolong our suffering.

The GOP in Congress neutered itself while Obama was president by voting against 100% of anything Obama put forward, not on merit, but on principle. They acted exactly like children. Thus Obama, being a constitutional lawyer, found ways to get things done without the approval of congress.

He's a trojan horse. What we are witnessing is a civil war between porkies.

He didn't even ban Muslims, just a few of the Islamic countries. Technically he hasn't yet fulfilled this promise.

None of these are as powerful as a law.
Executive actions are any informal proposals or moves by the president. The term executive action itself is vague and can be used to describe almost anything the president calls on Congress or his administration to do. But many executive actions carry no legal weight. Those that do actually set policy can be invalidated by the courts or undone by legislation passed by Congress.

Executive orders are legally binding and published in the Federal Register, though they also can be reversed by the courts and Congress. A good way to think of executive actions is a wish list of policies the president would like to see enacted.

You can pretty much count on this.

He's going to go and rape Canada with opening energy regs PLUS 15% tax, I think Trudeau is in for a big fucking nightmare and his virtue signalling will be a mistake. Whether that is good as it brings jobs or obviously bad for the environment it is something for everyone, if it coincides with better trade deficit with Mexico.

Democrats want him impeached they just said seriously, if they win the seats back he will be impeached, for a three month ban on shit tier countries, and Iran which is a victim imo and Trump should fuck off with the Netenyahu shit

stop having me agree with you

Well intelligent enough to delegate responsibilities to the right people and keep good advisors might be more accurate, he probably isn't genius level or anything: Skills he developed running his Trump organization.
But he is highly efficient, always prepared, and puts in tremendous time and energy, which produces results.

We'll just have to "be" something else, I suppose. Bummer.

Diffusion of accountability, mainly. Oh, you meant for the proles?

I'm becoming somewhat convinced he might represent a rogue nationalist porky faction although that's just speculation at this point.

The Muslim ban so far has pissed me off more than a Blackstone would have
HOW IN THE FUCK DO YOU JUSTIFY BANNING IRANIANS BUT NOT THE FUCKING SAUDIS

Because we're making money off the Saudis

That was most likely done to appease Israel.

I remember, vaguely. That kind of partisanship is ridiculous.

So an executive order enacts something provided no one bothers to challenge it in the courts or Congress. That's still pretty powerful with the right people in Congress and DoJ.

The people are sovereign they just can't rule :^)

He's a rogue, I was baffled by the no Jew Holocaust stuff because he was in full Jew mode for months and is basically doing Netenyahus bidding, I think there is some fucked up American Jew Israeli Jew rift and he's playing it in the media, also probably distraction as well like most of Spicers press conferences.

What?

? I haven't heard about any of this?

Referencing his drama lately by not mentioning the Jews on Holocaust remembrance day?

These are all juat glorified press releases. Some of this stuff is going to require legislation to be passed and funding to be approved which means that shit like the wall might just die out in Congress. The wall isn't popular outside of the lingering Tea Party dorks. The pipeline still has to deal with state legislatures and the sanctuary city deal might be unconstitutional.

Saudi Arabia is not a recognize State Sponsor of terrorism
>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_Sponsors_of_Terrorism

They did that after Obama had a free shot at it and he blew literally all his capital on that shit tier Affordable Healthcare Act. Republicans were fuming over it.

They didn't dare do what Obama has just done though, which is fucking worse than voting no in Congress and try sabotage the transfer of power before his AG was in, and openly encourage riots on stuff he was up to his kneck in. Obama is pure teflon, he would be killed if it was Bush or anyone else doing this.

It was a bit of a subtle fuck you to Israel, for whatever reason.

I'm but an everytime I posted telling people not to believe the "lel trump is betraying his voters meme" I was called a Holla Forums shill. Fu all

When was this?

That was incredibly benign tbh and I was even a little shocked by how hard the media seemed to be reaching with that one. I think even the Trump people were.

The white house said something like they mourned the loss of all of the "innocent" life in the holocaust, and the media blew up with "HE DIDN'T SAY JEWS, HE IS A HOLOCAUST DENIER!"

Trump did not single out Jews but commemorated the victims altogether and the media went mental.

1 or 2 days ago.

Oh noooo.
Theres no remembrance day for the Armenian genocide.
I dont really care about holocaust rememberance day to be quite honest

I don't know too much about that. Although I do have some reservations when it comes to Jewish culture, especially in how it relates to bourgeois society.

But he's full bro with Israel on Iran and Saudi.

Remember the 6 billion Jehovah's Witnesses Goy

Interesting…

Already over-publicized-event remembrance day

Here's one of many stories on it…
theguardian.com/world/2017/jan/28/white-house-defends-trump-holocaust-statement-that-didnt-mention-jews

I hate to be Holla Forums tier, but the jews are bourg as fuck.

That's why so many people distrust or hate them.

I try not to bring it up too much here since this board usually isn't that friendly to that sort of rhetoric but yeah… I know.

On everything. He's actually so pro-Israel people think it will cause destabilization that will seriously harm that country in the long run. The bruhah over not mentioning Jews and What It Meant was… I hate to use a cliche… Fake News

I try not to bring it up too much here since this board usually isn't that friendly to that sort of rhetoric but yeah… I know.

Im really hoping hes just biding his time and waiting for the opportunity to give them the boot just like hes doing to Mexico, TPP, EPA, etc…

It is fake news.

I don't think that will ever happen. We can't drop our support of Israel. They serve as our central power in the Middle East. Iraq and Afghanistan went to complete shit after the wars, so they are out. We're sticking with Israel.

It's actually Cuba. What a fucking shitty gameshow.

Trump's win gave Israel the motivation to keep pushing housing development in Palestinian areas. They are pushing it forward big time. One of the last things Obama did was frown at Israel for actions like that. But they know they will supported by Trump.

From the looks of it that was 80's

Maybe this is more of his so-called 4d chess… let Israel be an asshole for awhile and not say anything, and when they get to bold and make a dick move, cut their support and deride them and publicize their wrongs.

Wishful thinking, I know

What a surprise.

People expected something else? Trump is a fucking business man bred from businessmen. Capitalism is in his blood.

His promises are actually shit and retarded. He'll fuck up either way.

The only difference between Trump and the more typical bourgeois is that Trump shows a surprising amount of Isolationist ideas. But he has been that way for years. I think that's why a lot of people like him.

I know.

I was talking about all the """socialists""" on this board praising Trump for his infrastructure plan when his infrastructure plan is to lease out the infrastructure to private companies.

You may think so, but those promises won him the election. And so far the only promise he hasn't kept is when he said he would investigate Hillary further. So, counting the promises above fulfilling 12/13 (over 90%) of your campaign promises is more than any other president I have ever seen. You may not like his promises, but they won him the election, and hes ACTUALLY FOLLOWING THROUGH WITH WHAT HE PROMISED

I've never heard of a Saudi terrorist in my life other than Bin Laden.

Socialism is about building a society where the means of production are socially managed, it's not about opposing anything that produces profit.
It's a waste of effort to try to save the remains from 20th century statism. It's mostly interpassivity like anarchist riots.
Sometimes Porky needs to win so that we can take the offensive.

The executive order he signed says nothing of the sort
>en.wikisource.org/wiki/Executive_Order_13766
Maybe provide proofs when you make claims like that

...

A lot of presidents appear closer to their promises early on than they do later on.

And "draining the swamp" is pretty clearly something he's not devoted to. Not 'kinda' nullified by his cabinet picks, but totally nullified. When you run something that crooked, passing rules on other crooked people isn't fighting corruption but power play.

Also, "planning to defeat the Islamic State" is not defeating ISIS. Defeating ISIS is not a controversial issue in US politics, so him going and saying "wait, no, let's leave them alone" when the US was already fighting them would just be bizarre.

And as others have said, a lot of stuff still has the potential not to come to fruition.

15 of the 19 hijackers of the planes used during the 9/11 attacks were Saudis.

Why is it that Holla Forums keeps trying to push for capitalism and make people like their pee pee man?

…. so Saudis should be added to the list of banned travelers as well?

Actually, it would be more effective to just stop supporting Saudi Arabia, be more friendly with the more "secular" regional regimes and Shia states like Iran, etc. Most major terrorist acts in the US in recent years have been committed by born US citizens. Saudi Arabia has encouraged Islamist terrorism throughout the middle-east and in the west, and it goes up to officials. The US gives them money and support and enables them to do this, which also enables groups like ISIS to more effectively radicalize people and recruit internationally.

Iran is pretty much a badtalking counterbalance whose poor relationship with the US is still largely based on an unresolved relic rivalry from nearly 40 years ago.

shhhh dont remind them Trump is a liar, he signed a paper saying he wants a useless wall that will stop Americans from going to Mexico to buy cheaper stuff once he starts trade war with china and mexico

kek

Literally the only candidate that made any promises on the issues that matter to working Americans in my lifetime. Of course liberals, like yourself, see appealing to the working class as "shit and retarded".

just evil

lol and you voted for him like a moron Holla Forums, really shows that """"""""intelligence""""""""" of yours

I thought tankies supporting "social democracy at the barrel of a gun" was a meme.

It's what he says he wants to do on his site. donaldjtrump.com/policies/an-americas-infrastructure-first-plan

He's just going to re-negotiate the trade deals and his only answer to free trade is le tariffs meme

What the working class needs is greater political and economic power, not trade deals that might be marginally more beneficial.

b…but drumpf said the people have the power now

i think 'draining the swamp' just means totally wiping out the existing bureaucracy so that it can't effectively resist him. you can see that with what's happened in the state dept.
i'm very curious and also worried about what this is going to mean. there's no way that he's going to defeat them by bombing alone, if he wants to defeat them he'll need to send troops in. will he actually do that? could be a very big deal.

Name one President that actually took on industries and made demands of them, and could sell it and win on it? He was not supposed to win on that line, he seems dead serious about repatriating jobs and not just growing pointless GDP while it doesn't stay in the country or put back into the economy it's sent abroad and put into Wall Street bubbles.

He's very different in this way, sorry if the plebs liked it.

he's not 'taking on the industries' you moron, he's planning to give them free reign over the country

I cant wait to see US becoming a shithole and laughing at all those morons

Free reign lel, they had that for years and weren't even in the fucking country.

kek

It's all just political theater. Carrier is still going to outsource jobs, just not quite as many. Watch for this to be the "theme" of his presidency.

Keep drinking his pee-aid

i'm not making excuses for him, wtf are you talking about
i don't think you'll have to wait long

Lets be honest. Saudi Arabia would be a complete backwards shit hole if they didn't have so much oil. That oil allows them to have a society that normally wouldn't be possible, given their conservative Sunni Islamic leanings.

I've been saying for months now that Trump is a neofascist, but Holla Forums seems to be in denial. Dude has been checking off categories of fascist coups for days now. How is nobody realizing that he is systematically purging the government? Just today he fired the US Attorney General for doing her job

You're in for a treat if you think this is going to end happy.

Leftypol gets triggered by liberals so they cant take seriously anything that Liberals say even if it is correct.

That is why i dislike emotion based beliefs so much, they are so mad and emotional at x group they cant say anything that group did was good and separate the good from the bad

What's the difference between red and blue here?

Ironically it's groups like Holla Forums that have been against using the word fascist for everything because it muddies the waters for actual fascism for a long time.

blue = unfilled positions
red = positions that were purged

its taken from this https:[email protected]/* *//trial-balloon-for-a-coup-e024990891d5#.jnjhvejen

Liberals are enemies of socialism and can't be trusted to not serve their own interests above those of the community. Manipulation of designated inferiors to achieve self-superior designs is the very stuff of liberalism. Is it any wonder such people are not valued as comrades?

There doesn't seem to be much actionable intelligence in that statement. Besides, adherents to liberalism are part of the problem and not really worth going out of one's way to defend.

He fired her for not doing her job.

This happens every time the executive branch changes party hands. I haven't seen a single shred of evidence that suggests he's a cryptofascist. If anything he leans further left (along the American political divide) than any Republican president in recent history. This is why he was disliked by a fair number of party regulars.

Who the fuck said anything about trusting, the idea of fascism is not owned by liberals nor it requires us to ally with liberals to point out the fact that this government has been going full fascist

They literally have started going against people, immigrants, muslims and the next executive order will be anti lgbt

There seem to be a lot of Trump shills on Holla Forums lately. I'm pretty sure it's just Holla Forums being itself.

I'm pretty sure putting a Goldman Sachs executive in your cabinet doesn't count as "draining the swamp".

...

He's right in that there is a large overturn but what is happening under Trump is unprecedented. Usually the incoming POTUS keeps on valuable staff for the sake of a peaceful transition and because they provide experience and relationship to the US government. What we see with this administration is foreign US ambassadors getting fired, the Attorney General being fired, Steve Bannon effectively being the head of National Security… if the American people realized what that last point alone means they should be storming the White House right now.

The entire fucking middle east should be banned. It's hilarious how Trump campaigned on banning muslims but only banned seven countries, the majority of which are insignificant failed states and people are praising him for keeping his promises. He is backpedaling hard right now and the only reason nobody notices is because the liberals keep overreacting to every little thing he does which makes him look far more radical than he actually is.

I'm not completely sold on Trump being a fascist but Steve Bannon heading national security is pretty crazy.

Again:
>Manipulation of designated inferiors to achieve self-superior designs is the very stuff of liberalism.
Why should we trust that you and the rest of CTR are not "working" this right now? Why should we save habitual liars, who have set themselves in permanent opposition to our aims and visions, from anything? Why does your bourgie lib angle even matter?

Or, to put it another way: so fucking what? Stop taking us within a hair's breadth of the cliff, neolib, and these things won't happen.

Trump did flip flop on several issues, particularly earlier on when he didnt have policies on them all.

Pic Related was released before the election, and appears to be the list of promises he's committed to.
In particular, this list doesnt have a muslim ban, it specifies suspending terror prone regions until vetting can be accomplished effectively.

Natsec is completely compromised, I would have done the same on day one.

Yeah Holla Forums is getting bored that he isn't popular so probably try to convert people to drink his pee pee too. I ve noticed it a lot lately

This is America. We have one team of fascists couping the other every 8 years.

way to much trump shilling going on this this thread, half of the things you listed he has only taken half measures on so far
for example, I doubt there will be any tariffs
most of those are shit to just aid capitalists (yeah lets get rid of environmental regulations)

It's only unprecedented if you're a typical hack journalist who doesn't know history beyond what happened in your lifetime. Look into the history of the NSC, look at what Kennedy did. The media is overreacting as usual.

This is not good. He's throwing our slow and rigorous system out the window.

What does everyone think of Mr. Capitalism with a friendly face?

Is this a joke? This is the exact wording of Trumps EO as well as its stated intention. The ban is for 3 months until they can establish vetting procedures according to his administration.

Wrong.
Summary:
For the next 90 days, all travelers, except U.S. citizens, traveling on passports from Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Iran, Somalia, Libya, and Yemen will be temporarily suspended from entry to the United States. The 90 day period will allow for proper review and establishment of standards to prevent terrorist or criminal infiltration by foreign nationals.

There is absolutely no wording specifiying muslims.

If you are dutch travelling from somalia, you will not be allowed entry

Le fake news and le "Ban on muslims"

Its so misleading its basically a lie

He's not backpeddling on anything lol. If it seems like he is because "aha, he's not permenantly banning Muslims after all! We win!" It's because it's a lie that his EO ckearly did not ban Muslims and also explicitly allows immigration again after 3 to 6 months for all countries except for Syria.

I thought a senator died a few months into his presidency, stripping his super majority.

Basically the way admin changes happen after a change in the executive is all gov officials hand in a letter of resignation and the president has the option of ignoring them. The system is intended to allow what is happening to happen.

Good on you for editing out the bullshit

Well you know who owns the media don't you?

Let me guess, it's just "porky" right? ;)

Stop ruining my flag Holla Forumsyp.

When I look back on presidents who "broke their promises" a lot of them weren't promising jack shit in the first place. I mean that was the central problem of Hillary as a candidate for two election cycles she refused to promise or give a coherent reason for her presidency other than what she wanted.

Obama promised very littler but he promised it in the context and language of big change. So people were fooled.

Bill Clinton and the Bushes really didn't promise much either, but enough excitement was generated from being opposition candidates to perceived weaklings on the other side that they were able to skate by.
