Do you have to be smart, philosophical and read a lot of philosophy books to be a true leftist?

Do you have to be smart, philosophical and read a lot of philosophy books to be a true leftist?

Naw but you can if you wanna

No, but it gives you arguments.

It is completely opposite, you need to just dogmatically believe whatever you are told and never question anything to be true leftist.

No, but it sure helps. You will want to have a clear theory and praxis so that you do not flail uselessly at whatever seems on its face to be a problem with the world (eg. racism, patriarchy, niggers, fun) but is actually just an illusion that obscures the reality of the problem.

ye

Oh hey Holla Forums

It helps

If you wanna understand leftist theory, then yes. But not all proles can or are willing to read theory, but as long as they understand basic principals and aren't spooked on shit like nationalities etc it's not really important

There is no value in trying to be a "true leftist"; a hollow category reserved only for those who think political value is determined by status or adherence to an ideal, but there is value in educating oneself, which simply involves reading at least a little. This is something anyone can do, and I suggest you if anything dont read the bourgeois propaganda from China in your OP, although some very select parts of Mao are insightful and potentially useful (unity of opposites theory, critique of liberal ideology).

Nice argument.
There is not a single leftist country where questioning of leftist dogma is allowed.

You can't function as a Leftist, unless you can understand politics. And you need philosophy to have consistent understanding. Which is why Materialism is so necessary, Lenin mentions it as a crucial part of Marxism.

Hi Holla Forums

you're the one who behaves like Holla Forums here.

READ HOXHA

hi there Holla Forums

A 140 Autism Level is the minimum requirement for communist.

hi Holla Forums

You just need to read Murray Bookchin.

There is not a single Leftist country.

Well at least he recognizes that Venezuela isn't leftist

This is kind of true of Maoists to be honest.

You can't be anti-idpol and not read North

Books are good especially when you still have unanswered questions, or perhaps you're not very firm in your convictions. It's like reading a collection of ideas. Which is good.
