He'll have trouble early on with getting enough charge bar for his Loaded stacks, but if you can get it working right you should be able to dish out tons of damage easily.

Very important, most grids use one.
Depends on your teams. Sword and Dagger both are very valuable, gun has niche uses too.
Dagger and then sword. Dagger is great for its large amount of attack to humans and after upgrades Erunes too, the most common race. Sword boosts humans and Draphs right out of the box but for less attack. Between the two you cover the most common races. Gun covers potatos but since there are few really good potatos it is a lesser priority.

Should I focus on the single race Baha or the multi race Baha?

The dagger is the default for the big DATA boost it gives, then it's up to the player to figure out what to use based on his characters and what boss he's up against.

if you want the extra hp, look into the new RQ earth fist. It's the same med atk/hp, but on an ex modifier and gives defence on a second skill

But user, running a high level raid that isn't one of the six Magnas fucking terrifies me.

RQ is easy and rarely fails. If your damage is low, play DF (with blind) or bishop (with clear and dispel). For DF make sure you put gravity on her before 60% as she is immune to it until 40%. For Bishop, dispel reflect in that 60-40% phase and clear whenever called to (her ougi often debuffs). Plus clear after the 10% and 3% triggers.

Once you do it once it'll seem less daunting, and you will be able to farm some ex weapons and not rely on rng to build a grid.

I'd just use the Titan HP sword for grid filler if I needed HP over a Ygg branch. Eventually a Baha weapon should give you all the HP you need though.

Charlotta + Societte + Katalina would make a nice defensive team, though Bahamut synergy would be an issue there.
Ayer + Eustace + Gayne would be fine for earth, Ayer punches things really hard, and you can probably get 3-4 attacks off with him if you manage to get a paralysis with Eustace.

Definitely earth, good lineup too with water gw coming next month.
However, water looks good to. Post-buff Box Potato is a monster.

You don't roll for characters in this game. You spark for them or suptix them. Even with rate-up for the specific characters the chances are still terrible.

Especially for new players, the only time you ever roll is during legfest.

Elysian and luchador are the only classes that matter; spartan and sage are there in order to actually finish "hard" content.

Elysian is a really great first choice if your already using Superstar as one of your main classes, since Elysian's Abyss call is a huge improvement over Superstar's DA buff.
Unlocking T4s is a huge amount of EMP/CP.

naisu user, I just unlocked my T4 today and went with Lucha first, going for Elysian next and then Sage

Never spent EMP on anything other than 3 passives on Dark fencer, got about 200 EMPs stacked up. I also already have the CP and Troubador distinctions for Elysian.
I don't remember the last time i unlocked a class though, so getting back to 2500 cp might take a while.

Wiki wasn't exactly clear whether it is just for critical hit or not, so I figured I'd ask another dumb question. Does each instance if a specific perk in a characters EMP represent an individual instance of that perk or do the count cumulatively with ever decreasing returns.

For example taking one star in two instance of ATK land me a 1000 increase in damage or would it give me 800 as if I put two stars into a single ATK perk?

Individual. So for your example, 1 point on the 2 nodes would net you 1000 ATK (500+500).

New accounts get a free SSR from a pool of 6, and if you register with Yahoo, that's another SSR ticket, along with the pinboard missions, that's about 3 SSRs on a new account.

Depending on where you are on your pinboard you get another SSR ticket.

Only single draws. Only way to 10 part draw with a ticket is to get 10 part ticket from Cygames being generous or fucking up badly somewhere.

Seems like Izmir's Blizzard is pretty much just Flare, but with a different damage modifier on different times. I think it hits its peak at around 1:50, with 2:15 also being strong too. From the looks of it, Blizzard peaks fast and then slowly dies off, unlike Flare which gets stronger and stronger. I'm not gonna bother collecting super-accurate data, though, since the nip-nongs will do a better job at that than me.
