Yeah, I know I'm late to the fucking party, I decided a bit late into things to destroy my life and let it all fall to shit around me until the Jews turn off the power and water and come to evict me.
So I'm looking at :
"Civilization: Gods and Kings" but I REALLY don't want a "WE WUZ KANGZ N' SHEET" type game. Also looking at "Command "Modern Air Naval Operation", but for this one will just keep it to the Civilization" series.
Are there any obvious great ones that stand above all others? Also, anything with a nigger in power that appears too much is a non-starter. So, based on that, can you all give me any ideas?
I've plated "Witcher 3" about into the fucking ground and can't get the hang of "Fallout: Vegas," GTA IV or 5, and so here I am.
$95 shekels left on steam account..I guess STALKER is a possibility…but if anyone here experienced with the Civilization games had to go for one, what would it be??? Thanks.

civ 3 was the the best for current audiences, enough visuals but also true the the best gameplay of civ 2. That said, the civ games are the most dumbed down and simple of 4x games I have played.
If you want a 4x, I suggest distant worlds: universe. It's real time but there is so much detail you'll be pausing every few moments to make sure you have every thing right. There is enough detail to make your head spin but you can automate as much as you want with the AI to help you. There is too much to post but I will give you the best part of it. The game keeps track of population levels and even specifies which species live on what worlds. You may also set polocy to integrate aliens like a federation in star trek, make them live on segregated worlds or send them back, or my favorite, conquer a world and enslave the population to make your war ships to continue the genocide against them.
Lucas Bell
The best Civ is the one that isn't Civ.
Asher Collins
Civilization IV Beyond the Sword + mods.
Civ 5 and 6 are shit, dumbed down and full of broken game mechanics that punish you for playing the game.
Camden Gonzalez
Sounds like fun
Samuel Perry
The stars are right!
Xavier Scott
If you want actual Civ, pick 4. If you want Civ: Fisher Price Edition, pick 5 or 6.
Robert Walker
I liked Civilization Revolution
Matthew Nelson
V is probably the best first entry point, lots of babies in this thread who can't appreciate more than one entry in the series, also who ignored your request for a good first one.
Connor Harris
I like Civ V, but don't bother getting it if you won't be getting all dlcs

Me too.

number 1 is a good first one

To salvage this shit thread, the one thing I hated the most out of all Civ games is the fact that despite being board-games about building a long lasting empire with its own culture, the only one that did so in a way that felt interesting was Alpha Centauri. Are there any videogames that let me actually world-build a civilization, with ethnicities, schisms, civil wars, technological inventions and best of all, an unique artistic trait that sets it apart from other civilizations in the game and that is built over the cultural choices I've made in the game?
Oliver Bell
Skip dead genres and go straight for Nair: Auto Tomato, the bets game to ever exist!

get BNW, Civ V is not WE WUZ KANGZ N SHIEEEEET Far from it. 3 nigger civs, and one of them(morroco) looks more arabic than nigger Egypt is far from we wuz kangz. Zulus and Ethiopia are the only truly nigger run civs.
You need to start somewhere, i agree that civ v is very dumbed down, but it is extremely easy to get into the genre.
Oliver Jackson
Civ2 is fun
Ethan Thompson
Make sure to get the full game, with advisors and cinematics and music. You might need to run Windows XP in a VM, because it doesn't run on operative systems that came after.
Jaxon Smith
Listen to this shit, you don't get better OST than this.
Jacob Carter
Agreed, but to answer your question, I believe Civ 4 is the most preferred one. I wouldn't know since I much prefer real time GSG's.
Jaxson Edwards
My first Civ V playthrough was a King Zulu. I will never forget the nuclear empire of King Shaka, may he rest in piece, RIP to my nigger.

Victoria 2, Hearts of Iron 3, Darkest Hour, EU 3/4 basically all the non shit Paradox games. There are a few games that aren't from Parajew (like Gary Grigsby's War in the East) but they are rare and I have no experience with them.
Evan Fisher
i thought EU was turn based
Daniel Watson
It's not, none of the Paradox game's are.
Chase Collins
Civ 5 is only worth a damn with all the dlc, it's shallow as fuck without them so buy the complete pack. I would say, start on 5, go to 4, then to Alpha Centauri
fix your life dumbass
Eli Lopez
The AI is retarded and multiplayer is broken, it's not a very good game.
David Myers
Civ 5 BNW, but with the Vox Populi mod. Easy to find and install, it is still being updated, balance gets improved, the AI becomes pretty smart and it's incredible how much it improves compared to vanilla. It's not very easy though and it adds several systems not present in BNW, so it might seem scary and overwhelming at first.
Owen Williams
Let it die and make a less shit one.
Parker Diaz
Civ II, Civ IV, or SMAC. V is mediocre but has a couple of interesting mechanics, VI is awful and shouldn't be played under any circumstances. The other main series games are fine if you want a change of pace from these three. The Call to Power games are interesting, and probably worth a playthrough or two, but once you get used to all the weird shit you can do you realize they're actually bad games.
Jace Scott
You know that's not true, and how it's meh and waiting for content expansions at worst. But I'll straight up call you piece of shit for calling CoPs bad. 4X Civ-likes like doscolonization, pandora or warlock could also work.
Leo Roberts
You sound like a fucking retard. It's 14/88
Thomas Sanchez
Futuristic technologies and units in Call to Power games were pants-on-head retarded. He's right calling them bad.
Henry Jackson
...
Michael Collins
No, user. Saying pants on head is retarded. Hover tanks, drop units, slavers, grouping units into armies, officer or specialist units, religions and corporations from the get-go, nanite bombs and mechs are not.
David Sanchez
Recall the idiotic fluff text for Plasmatica, or orbital colonies that stayed in fixed positions in the geostationary orbit regardless of the latitude, which should be possible only in a narrow zone around the equator. Oh, and mobile thermonuclear powerplants. What kind of materials would that require? Even mechs are more believable, being orders of magnitude smaller.
Juan Reed
Oh the irony!
Nathan Cook
I take it you consider Endless Legends and Alpha Centauri bad as well? How about Sacrifice or Kabuto?
For the sake of honestly the two things that really piss me off in CoPs are the Civ2 inspired archers which can potentially beat tanks and the objectively bad editor. But neither of those are game breakers.
Joshua Thomas
...
Leo Rodriguez
Do you know the difference between hard science fiction and technofantasy? The frequency of handwaving required. Alpha Centauri leans strongly to the former, Call to Power to the latter.
Ian Gomez
Vox Populi makes the game harder? I was getting wrecked by barbarians in it way more than I felt was normal.
Anthony Flores
I believe so, even though handwaving and technobabble aren't limited to one or the other. That still doesn't meant I consider Star Trek bad because of muh Star Wars or Farscape over muh Galactica.
Dylan Garcia
Personally I think Endless Legend is a more interesting game than Civ 5.
lol
This. If you're not getting everything, don't bother.
Oliver Williams
lol
Luis Ross
Go on, explain yourself
Jace Hall
Yeah, there's more barbarians spawning and they are smarter. They'll even try to flank and surround your troops if possible. You should go Warrior or at least second pathfinder first in this unless the situation is very favorable or they might be pretty overwhelming if there's lots of land for them to spawn on. If you find it too hard to adapt instantly, there's some advanced setup option before the game that makes barbarians spawn less, but that's pansy way to do stuff. Still, yeah, the difficulty is increased. The AI is way smarter and tries to compete, though IIRC it gets smaller bonuses in return.
Brayden Flores
I've noticed, also they seem to upgrade at a pace equal to or faster than the AI.
Zachary Williams
Civ 5 complete isn't really any dumbed down compared to 4, and 4 was super flawed before it's expansions just like 5 was.
Easton Richardson
Truth dubs.
Gavin Bell
our game lacked enough strong womyn of color, so we're fixing that before actually fixing the game, isn't that nice?
Robert Diaz
Absolutely disgusting.

Hopefully people will automatically gang up on anyone who plays as this

Reminder that the rule of the Nubian dynasty was so disastrous for Egypt it was the last time it would exist as an independent state. But we have to keep up the fiction that niggers were, at any point, kangz. I am physically ill.
It's a female of the negroid species, they tend to have just as much testosterone as their male counterparts. They're like dwarfs really, only if dwarfs had the intellect of orcs.
Noah Clark
They did manage to throw the Nubians off for a few short years, but did not have the time to recover the damage done before the Persians arrived.

What the fuck, why not the Mali if they want a black civ that badly? They actually accomplished shit
Mason Ross
What are good Civ IV mods? Any that fixes bugs or the fucking memory leak in late game?
Any Civ V mods that actually readds stuff from the previous games? Like fucking transports to move troops over seas? Sliders to change tax rate and science output?
Julian Peterson
Both of those would entail hacking the executable and I think most modders stick to scripts, .dlls and resource files.
For Civ IV: BUG mod and it's derivatives BULL and BAT. Doesn't change gameplay but improves the UI (makes it easier to find important information like who is plotting war) and various quality-of-life improvements such as workers stopping chopping forest when they're one turn away from completing so you can "pre-chop" and such. As for good mods that changes gameplay dramatically I would say: Realism Invictus or History Rewritten or if you want a total conversion deal Dune Wars. (Really, I can't say too many good things about Dune Wars. Get Dune Wars Revival. That's the most recent and complete one).
Chase Stewart
what the fuck, man?
Camden Howard
Why would you want sea transports? Embarkation is less of a hassle and better. Sure, it might make less sense that they pull them out of their asses, but fuck sense, that sort of shit would be unbearable with 1 unit per tile and it's good this mod doesn't implement that.
Anyway Vox Populi readds Civ4 stuff such as vassalage/etc via it's Civ4 Diplomacy submod though. Also some other minor stuff.
