Are there any somewhat new action RPG games that are like Risen 3? I recently completed that and absolutely loved it, I might have to replay it once or twice again because I only did one of the 3 factions.

I was under the impression Risen went to shit after the first one.

Many people think they were shitty games but I really liked 2 and 3. Yet to really play 1 but from what I have played the combat is just awful.

The combat in 1 is mostly worse than in later games but there was a system that involved precise timing in your hits to kill the enemies much faster that I really liked.

The combat in Risen 3 was great in my opinion aside from the fact that your damage output in the beginning is way too low against pretty sizable HP pools, but it really forced you to keep utilizing your dodge rolls properly. Towards the end you could basically 1hit or 2hit annihilate anything if you train your weapon speed, get the Demon Hunter Demon Blade spell and a powerful melee weapon like the Spirit Hammer (which I used until the end).
The soundtrack was also pretty good. Very different style from Risen 2 though.

I get that it's an unpopular opinion but I absolutely loved it, tons of fun, tons of quests and the progression felt great as there was no level scaling at all.

The view points are more of a chore than anything else and they can be either altogether useless or crucial to depending entirely on their position. Flags and the other collectables are just complete dog shit, as the player gets fuck all for them untill he gets every single fucking one. The most painful examples "reward" you with TEXT and MUH REVISIONIST HISTORY (i.e. nothing that would actually want to make you play the fucking game, let alone positively impact gameplay).

Loads. Some of them are just shitty livestream event garbage, others are focused around specific games. Doom for instance has a very long history of speedrunning that can be accessed and watched via demo files, but none of these speedrunner faggots would dare to even try Doom.

Really enjoying this ESA, interesting game choices. In so far I've preferred this to SGDQ this year, there are no dumb meme games, indieshit or 8 hour long shitty JRPGs either.
