I love Grit's artillery abilities, but I cannot stand his theme.
Jess and the tag power theme on the other hand; I would prolong my turns against AI opponents until a loop finished.
There are no good covers of her theme and it annoys me greatly.

The lack of good artworks for this game is astounding. There's people drawing a shitton of pictures for way more niche games and yet the only couple of good pictures for AW I could find are smut fetishes. By the way isn't the guy who makes the official artwork for the game a huge westaboo?

I get it makes sense given you're usually looking at the top screen at an angle, but it sure fudged the unit graphics in places.

Pretty accurate description. I started out on Grit, went to Jess for the Waifu factor, but a strong defense will always appeal to me. I really do wish that COs meant a bit more in DoR because I think it's my favorite entry.

And I was never attached to the AW communities (I only played against people in my school and at church) But why on god's earth is Adder so revered? I've seen this on earlier threads where people have nothing but good stuff to say about Adder and I have always thought that he was a lackluster CO. Nobody I knew ever used him.

It's an easy pitfall for new players. The game lies about his powers charging faster than everyone else's (they don't, he just has a short bar). This leads people to believe if they time Sideslip well, they'll be able to win at footsies all game.

In reality, you need to lose at least two tanks to charge that first Sideslip, and his awful daily stats make every turn you don't have +1 movement painful. It takes all of one game with a non-AI opponent to figure it out, but most AW fans don't even have that.

Adder is pretty great for counter strategies and because nobody expects him to do much. I used to swarm Transport Copter + Mechs around inaccessible areas of multiplayer maps and build a wall around the enemy HQ Sideslip'ing the more advanced units.

The joke is that Andy main are extremely rare compared to overpowered fucks like Colin or Hachi mains and show a case of the MC Fixation syndrome.

Sensei and Sami are both extremely good on the right maps. Specially small ones with low funds where infantry is really important.

Infantry are always really important because they capture property. If a map doesn't have buildings, there's no incentive for a player to move or attack. They're also really hard to kill for their low cost, so it's generally good strategy to stick them in front of your more expensive units to keep them out of the opponent's reach. If one side's meat shields have +30 or +40 attack, they have a tremendous edge when it comes to stripping away the other player's walls.
