Let me tell you something about women and video games.
This is something i always bring up on the subject.

In Demon's Souls there's a character, her name is Yuria.
You find her imprisoned in a tower, in the attic.
When you find her, it's heavily implied that she's been both beaten, starved, generally abused and very likely raped by Fat Officials.

A Fat Officials is a fat, laughing demon.
I want you to imagine a bunch of these fat, sweaty motherfuckers raping Yuria in her every orifice as she screams for mercy, beating the shit out of her every time she complains, laughing at her suffering.

Now, you'd think that feminists interested in video games would be ALL OVER this, right?
But no, they aren't.
They weren't all over it back then, and they aren't all over it now.
Why?
Because DeS is not as popular as the games that came after it, especially the popularity boom that happened post DaS, so in their limited knowledge of the series, they didn't go back to play it.
And even those that DID play it, suck so much ass at video games and have such short attention spans and lack of motivation to truly explore every nook and cranny of a video game that they couldn't fucking find this optional content in the game, even tho it's not that hard to reach nor especially hidden.

This should tell you all you need to know.
Feminists that claim to care about video games, really don't.
They have no love, intelligence, patience, for this medium.
They don't actually give a shit about video games, they're falling back on video games because they can't change shit in life that actually matters, so they're obsessed with making something, -anything-, cater to them regardless if they even care about it or not.

why shouldnt that content be in the game tho? Rape and torture is an unfortunate part of life, and in a game about hell, it should be present in some form. Surely even sjws must realize there is artistic merit in having torture and rape in a game right?

They've complained about the stupidest shit for years, in any video game.
99% of the time is shit that makes perfect sense in the context of the game world, plot, or both.
They simply don't care and don't understand.
They just want to "westernize" shit wich is, nowdays, a codename for censoring.

And let me tell you something else, the companies that do the "westernizing" of japanese games coming overseas, are paid per amount of shit they change, both in text "localization" and game code, removing and changing all sorts of content.
So they WORK TOGETHER with clickbait sites and third wave feminists to make sure that the average normie fully understands that this is a "big deal", wich coincidentally means japanese companies will be scared FUCKING SHITLESS to release their games overseas untouched and simply translated.

Now they need to be modified to our "special sensibilities".
Now they need to be "westernized".
So that means femporky gets more views on her shitty article, and translatorporky gets more time and material they can change and get paid more, and big japanese companies make contracts with them for each new release, thinking that if they don't, they'll offend someone in the west and their games are going to sell less here.

It is an absolute shitshow.

Thats also missing the point. No shit there are a few sexualized male characters. That doesnt dismiss the fact that exponentially more female characters are sexualized.
