Getting that wind grid finished will help making grinding a lot easier for whatever you need with light and dark are the hardest to get grid weapons from so whether or not you give two shits about the Vohu event coming up; it's best to get the far easier of them all out of the way first.

these showdowns are mostly for primal grids. You can still get some sr fodder, though. The summons are okay if you are a low level, but nothing too great. It might be worth getting the fenrir summon for bonito, though

Fenrir is being really good to me. Nightmare gave me two selfies while one came from extreme. If she is actually coming out soon, I have a feeling I'll be drawing her.

Got both the summons already, no plans for primal build so looks like a week break.

I'd say the lowest difficulty xeno vohu (and nightmare 60) is slightly easier than maniac vohu. There's always a chance for a harp to drop in the lowest difficulty, and you can get 1 book from nm60. Realistically, you can grind heaps of those until you can buy the harps. The higher difficulties just make it easier to grind

Also, here's the final uncap requirements. You can grind all of that after the event, you just need a 3* harp

You wouldn't use Korwa on primal builds, since her Esprit buffs are less effective on primal teams, and don't make up for the lost damage.
I don't know if those numbers are 4 party members averaged out or just a single party member's damage, because if it's the latter, then your looking at 4.1m (2 bow * 4) vs Levi's 3.8m (3 + korwa).

Spent the day farming Fenrir for another FLB dog summon. It was actually easier this time around. Now I have to save my pots for Xeno Vohu.

I was able to farm and uncap the Xeno Ifrit Axe with a shit water team and a grid of 0* daggers at SL 5.
3 Weapons weren't hard to get from leeching raids alone, the last one, I got via flip chest in a raid I started. Farming the Coop one to get the mats to host the Xeno, wasn't too bad of an idea.
This time around, hopefully, I'll be able to farm maniacs and nightmare modes.

I have no doubt I'll be able to do Xeno Vohu when it comes up, but will my wind team be able to beat Threo?

The Rainbow is the meta, but I admit I'm only doing well enough to solo Omegas.
I got the basic grid laid out for half of the elements, though.

Rainbow meta demands I play rainbow, so I play rainbow.
My weakest grid is a SL10 0* chev gun grid with an FLB chev sword

I fell for the "wind is easy" meme after much flailing against Levi on account of the gacha giving me SSR chars (200+ leeched raids and 0 daggers). Wind has, however, let me build up a dirt grid that makes Levi cry now, so It's a bit cathartic. still never seen a dagger drop tho I had started to grind out dark (again at the demand of the gacha) but I don't like how they changed Celeste. I can't cheese out her loop anymore and she feels much less predictable. Maybe I haven't tried enough, but I can't understand that fight anymore and I've seen zero discussion of new strategy for it.

The meta around Guild Wars and perhaps future events encourage players to build grids for every element instead of just focusing on one.

IIRC, they removed gold bars from Maniac/Nightmare raids and replaced them with Damascus Grains.

GW and xeno fights (with perhaps more in the future) now have 50%+ resistance to other elements than the on element choice. You now need to have a grid in every element

I've been pushing Wind but the game has given me enough SSRs for an Earth team and 2/3s of a SSR Light team.
The brunt of the top characters happened a while after playing.

I'm going for the Ascalon simply because Ifrit is an easy fag to grind and you can just bot the casino for sword stones.
The only useable ones I think are the Nebuchad and Oliver.

Wind was good to me, and I like a lot of light characters. But I'm trying to not ignore other elements.

Next objectives are to finish my Ascalon and unlock Elisyan by the first days of August, get a light GW Harp to use as mainhand, then work on Threo.

Unless you have Ayer/Threo or need more HP, I'd say 6. Otherwise exchange one or two for the wand (bit of HP and normal ATK) or the bow (Big Enmity)

Thanks for the tips, I managed to beat her with one full elixir using the Park Ranger, Lambo and Sarasa and that with measly 15k weakpoint damage.
Though I had a fair amount of luck when she didn't use her self buff (couldn't bring her to 75% until she had charged her diamonds for the second time) and then when Walder didn't get paralyzed when I did get her to 75% her ougi had wasted my veil.
I probably wouldn't have had to use that full elixir if I had gotten Lamretta to level 65 for that 2 turn cooldown cut on her veil

drop rates for manga weapons are higher than they used to be and a few months ago the cost to join a magna raid went down

it's mostly just a time thing, you need about 3-4 months doing daily omegas and grinding events for EX weaps to contribute reasonably, then another 3-4 months to be able to hold your own on the really hard stuff.

the side quests and the rotation showdowns serve as the catch up for new players as they offer easily grindable weapons and summons

I've been a tad lucky and starting during the Idol event dumped 15 decent characters for teams on me and a bunch of pots. Depending on what they do for the Yahoo event starting on the 20th it might be worth rerolling then for a good starting SSR and summon then building a team from there.

All of these grids seem fine, the author also has written some explanations/adjustments you could make for some of these grids. The earth grid for example, could have the Baihu claw replaced by a sword, but since earth can reach the damage cap easily, it's more valued in earth (they have ougi characters and Ayer + Thero). He also points out that if you have more attack up buffs, the sword would be more valuable there instead of the fist.

They are pretty damn rare. Maybe you're just being unlucky.

I think it's more for maximum element effect and those things are only for specific types of characters which you may end up not having.
Take for instance my wind team; only one Bal character with everyone else being Def, Special, and two Atk even though it's supposedly the element with a lot of Bals so I'm guessing they threw the Angel weapons in there for better effect.

I don't think I've ever been this low on archangel items in months. The omega unique items just ate them whole.
