As easy as it is to believe Sega is making a bad game on purpose, every developer does now, it's even easier for me to speculate this guy is making an intentionally vague, poorly worded and poorly cited video on purpose to weaken the defenses of any critics this game would have. You have to realize game marketing budgets go far beyond billboards and ads.

What Sonic Team needs to learn is that you have to go all the way with a project. I feel like they're dipping their toes in the water and not taking a dive, they're trying to re-invent the wheel and making a square instead, a square that doesn't lead anywhere.
The fact that they've openly said "The Avatar can't look cooler than sonic" also depresses the hell out of me, why would you limit a users creativity on a character? Sonic is not going to be replaced by some shitty OC damn it! Just let your fans unleash their entire autism on it and make their dream come true.
When he said "Changes are cosmetic", my heart sank as well, I was hoping the type of animal you chose would allow you to use varied kinds of power, for example, the rabbit would jump higher, the wolf would have a higher attack rate, the bird would have bigger distance, etc.
It speaks volumes about how much they crippled the OC characters, to the point where they look uninteresting, not to mention their role is most likely going to be something minimalistic. I'm going to type up a storm in a bit, give me a moment.

That's 33.33%, the chao garden is roughly 15%
That's still 48%.
I still have fond memories of the other levels though, but I have to learn to remove my nostalgia glasses*
