China is, in function, a western nation of the 1950's or so. Industrialized and all. This sort of technology is only the thing the elites of the elite have, I can't drive to the rich side of town and ask Bob Petite Bourgeois how his life extension gene therapy is going. The only reason I know highly advanced technology even exists is because of earlier accounts of it. I have yet to run into any current ones, but we clearly haven't reached the end of technological advancement so there must be something. Life extension makes sense, some rich people are trying to use blood injections from younger people to extend their life, which shows a clear desire to never lose their beloved corporate empires. This is the 80's shit like that is expensive. The advancements didn't go to waste, obviously. The GRiDPad in 1989 could clearly be using many of the advancements made, but with much more limited functionality due to the immense cost of producing computers as small and as powerful as what we see now or a few years back. The Apple Newton probably used some of the technology too. The most advanced stuff, of course, was only able to be bought by the rich and kept secret from others. Think about it, not only do they avoid a backlash from the consumer or working class as a whole, they also get plenty of intermediary steps to market to the consumer instead of having everyone clamoring for the most advanced and not caring for the less powerful devices. That's countless more products to be sold, only to be made obsolete a bit later by a "revolutionary" new design.

I can tell you about what he told me though. The CIA has, first off, been assassinating political rivals (I think we can all agree that much is always obvious). But an internal struggle happened during the election, two factions of a sort formed loosely with one wanting to approach pacifying the populace through further neoliberalism and the other believing the only chance to be going straight into "capitalism in decay" or something very similar. The FBI sided with the former for the most part, and we all know how it turned out now. During the election the FBI director's office was, as described by my CIA friend himself, just clutter and paperwork from floor to ceiling. Obvious red tape. There wasn't much open violence between the two factions, since that would make things all too obvious, but those on the winning side of things have gotten a nice bit more power and the losers have more or less lost everything. Spot-on. The Deep State has massive influence, they've used their resources to paint him as a messiah. They don't need a majority to keep him in power, only a vocal minority that thinks itself a silent majority. Anything can be justified now that the far-right faction has won, they've essentially executed a coup within themselves and then one in the surface level American government. Whatever they say goes. The only question is if they recognize the threat an agitated working class poses to the point at which they put aside competition in favor of survival. I just turned on some Tunde and remembered the Bush-era and thought I'd come back and make note that something being a conspiracy theory does not necessarily mean it's wrong or even incredibly dodgy. A lot of what might have been called conspiracy theories during the first couple years were proven true (and in the case of Patriot Act-related stuff, the proof was literally right there in the fucking bill), and stuff like the Bush admin planning the Iraq War in advance and the CIA (+Blair) lying about it still aren't necessarily verified but are probably true/generally realized, too.

The Illuminati, as we might as well call it, is probably a combination of old, rich families and whoever happens to be extremely powerful right now. Given what we saw in South Korea, many almost definitely believe in cultish, supernatural ideas and practice them (this is the sort of thing most would call satanism and actual magic, and could be a source of much of the "satanic illuminati lizard mason" conspiracy theories out there). They obviously care only for themselves, and will do the most deranged things in personal self interest (such as the literal vampirism that is slowly emerging now with the ridiculous "blood of the young will make me immortal" shit which could be a reflection of their cultish beliefs). The far right faction isn't quite shooting for fascism, not in a Mussolini or Hitler way at least. They, for now, probably believe it best to maintain the illusion of a democracy and just keep switching presidents to control as they see fit (they have the real power after all, Trump just happens to be an easy conduit for their ambitions that the public will accept as backing the decisions they make since the fit his character). Zionism almost definitely had a part, but it is in no way a main factor or driving force. It is simply a benefit to the Israeli elite that works to help the American elite too. An alliance between countries, in this sort of system, is anything but. alliances are just when the elite of two countries decide that openly working together and having their politicians say nice things will put them on top. While the Illuminati has a unified agenda and will do anything to defend it, there is plenty of infighting by virtue of the fact that everyone in it wants to be at the top.

I can see it happening. Like I said, the elite play both sides of the world against one another. Ever since the beginning of revisionism in the USSR, it has been an East vs. West dichotomy they have tried to cultivate. A war with China could fuel a hatred and generate a lot of money for defense companies (the owners of which are certainly campaigning for a war with China, I'm sure). Plus, the massive power of China and America make a stalemate inevitable. Both are uninvadeable. Which would lead to a bogged-down war with lots of naval combat and attempted then repelled landing attempts. A perfect storm for stock value of you build warships, planes, tanks, you name it. On the other hand, a clear victor at the end would upset the balance. If a war does break out, it will almost certainly be wholly controlled by the elites to ensure a clear victor cannot emerge.

However, reverse psychology could have also played a part ("vote for the establishment! Everything will be the same! You wouldn't want (good things we badly paint as bad) would you?"). No, it's pretty much undeniably proven, the break-up of Yugoslavia was planned and that was the reason that the IMF quit extending credits to Yugoslavia even though it was good for it. It only extended them on the premise that they apply greater and greater austerity. That created an economic disaster that pushed up Yugoslav unemployment to 70%. German and American intelligence was neck-deep in promoting separatist terrorist movements throughout the conflict and was never truly neutral as they claimed, nor did they stop ethnic cleansing as Clinton supported the neo-Nazi regime in Croatia that expelled the most people (serbs) during the conflict.

Yugoslavia had major problems and probably would've torn itself apart anyway, but the CIA and the US gov accelerated the whole process and turned it into a violent civil war. Once the USSR was gone Yugoslavia served no purpose because its role as a counter-balance force against the Soviets was no longer necessary. The US unceremoniously trashed their former Yugoslav allies (much like Saddam Hussein, Noriega etc.)

It's not true that Yugoslavia's debt to IMF was just too great and not serviceable; after Yugoslavia had fallen apart the six former Yugoslavian states taken as a whole had a much greater debt load then the former Yugoslavia. Once right-wing groups were in power on all sides and deeper neoliberal reforms were imposed they gave credit to the new republics quite generously.
