Shitty Mechanics

This shit can stay where it belongs, in tabletop games.

Why would anyone do this in non-MMOs? It goes against logic and immersion, and it makes magic tedious.

Protip: you don't and it's a waste of time

dragon quest builders is guilty of this and it pisses me off to no end because the reach for weapons is so small

True. Ys didn't get good until it went 3D. The whole series has great music tho.

There are people who think you can't be critical of a politician while still supporting them. I know somebody who's perfectly fine with dying for Israel because he thinks the bible told him to somewhere. I knew some kids growing up who weren't allowed to watch the Wizard of Oz because muh witchcraft. There are people who spend more than $20 bucks on a video game.

Sans actually is in the players position and does show you mercy. You can accept or reject it. In his view, you dont accept it either.

Also you can attack monsters to beat them up. You can even show mercy to them after they're low enough but it doesnt count as triggering their mercy conditions

Trump is supporting Israel long before the elections, I was quite surprised when Holla Forums sperged out about this, I thought those guys at least did some research about him before supporting Thump.

One of the few games I know of that does this is Payday 2.
Enemies will sometimes tell you to drop your weapon and other things along those lines, if you actually do it they slowly walk over to you and arrest you without firing any shots.
It's the little things, you know?
It also allows you to do the same things to the enemies, you can tell them to drop their weapons and they'll do it if they're afraid
