In nature, "anything different" is usually caused by a disease. It makes perfect sense for evolution to create behaviors which suppress individuals who behave in an erratic and pathological manner. Say what you will, but furryism is clearly some sort of pathology.
The theory would also apply to ordinary faggots, not just the ones who wear animal costumes. Probably trannies too, though I can't think of a good pathogenic life-cycle which fits them.
