If you want a mass effect style game with unskippable cutscenes every 5 minutes with "Choices that matter™" built in, go right ahead.
The gameplay is pretty fun on high difficulty but I heard its a complete snoozefest on any other difficulty. However the action is cut into short bursts of combat followed by stupid "muh story" cutscenes and it just killed it for me. Also, degradable weapons, this is meme that needs to die, it just put and even furhter hinderance on the combat. Open world is ok, as you do encounter random monsters, but it is as it always is just padding.

There was a lot of ass and titties though that is always a plus.

The game is good, but I would suggest buying it for a PC instead of a console. There's an EE mod that mostly fixes combat, I also suggest that if you play on PC

PS4 version has weird bloom that I dislike, otherwise it's the same. Lacks mod support though, and I liked actually making Geralt's eyebrows white.

If locked 30fps at somewhere between medium and high settings in 1080p is good enough for you, the PS4 version is alright. Get the GOTY. If for some reason you're not happy with your purchase, console versions have the benefit of a healthy used games market to get your money back.

The console version is a bit shit as i heard it. But if you end up buying it, the expansions are worth the money multiple times over. They are arguably better than the core game.
