I haven't played a FPS newer than 2007, since it seemed that they weren't interesting anymore. But now I have the itch for some. What's the most decent FPS released for PC in the last decade? single-player only

pic unrelated

:^)

it doesn't exist

No such thing.
In before zenimax shills.

2007-2017 is a lot of games. Episode 2 was 2007. STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl was 2007. Crysis 1 was 2007. Modern Warfare 1 was 2007.

Shit let's have more 2007s.

Call of Pripyat and maybe Shadow Warrior/2
Aside from smaller indie titles I can't see anything that isn't straight consolized garbage or multiplayer only.

I have some bad news for you user.

Bulletstorm
Crysis series
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Drunken Robot Pornography
Half Life 2 + episodes
Rise of the Triad
Serious Sam HD
Shadow Warrior series
Stalker

You only get one.

refrain from shitposting, please

This is what happens when you let the gay community post on Holla Forums

Pic related is the only one that's come out since 2007 that is really good, which is a shame since it is just a recreation of the classic FPS.

Eyyyy

>>>/a/

Call of Duty has only been bottom of the barrel cookie cutter garbage since 4.
Infinity Ward actually put some effort into their games.

Heres the Zenimax shills

Would it be impossible to make a full pixel art fps that isn't shit?

...

I hope you homos aren't forgetting about Serious Sam 3, because that would imply some terminal shit taste.

Ziggurat

I like Ziggurat a lot, but I can only play it in short periods due to how repetitive it is.
Also semi random gen maps a shit

try resistance 3 and killzone mercenary. there haven't been any good SP fps on PC for some time.

Wolfenstein is pretty good if you are not from Holla Forums

3 was merely ok
It only becomes a Serious Sam game after the midway point and that kills it.

They worked with what they had and still managed to release a solid Sam game (certainly better than 2), but its still inferior to 1 and 2.

The way they're handling the Remakes, Fusion and the Talos Principle make me optimistic for SS4, they have the talent, thats for sure.

>>>/suicide/

not gonna lie to the kid. gas yourself jackoff

I've long stopped playing it, but looking at the stats I'd say I've played it for about 10 hours in total.. which isn't too bad since I don't really like random generated games either
but I remember it being lots of fun, and if you want to it could be hard (I wouldn't try to beat it on hard)

They definitely got a bit confused with the early levels of SS3, but for those good later maps, it's the best in the series.

The First Encounter is the most consistently good game. Second Encounter is better overall but has some shit parts. BFE starts awful and ramps up to awesome.

Nah mate, kill yourself, Resistance much like Killzone has always been garbage aside from the art design.
Resistance 3 is the second worst game and its generic as fuck.
At least the first game had some neat ideas.
Also generic boring garbage, if you want a decent FPS on a handheld get Coded Arms.

If you're not a Sonygger which I'm pretty sure you are, you still have the shittiest taste and should ponder really hard about commiting suicide.

Fair enough, the endgame is probably the best of the lot.
Crazy amount of enemies and carnage

Please, if you're going to shitpost, put effort in.

stop talking about games you've never played and most more samurai jack so I can continue to mock your universally garbage taste.

I can pinpoint that the game starts to get real good when those fat mancubi fucks show up and you get the open areas, the devastator, and big rushes. Any sins the game commits are mollified by the last level having a 1500 kill goal.

If you swapped the first 2-3 levels for something like Valley of the Jaguars, it'd be the unquestionable champion of the franchise.

Serious Sam is a masterpiece compared to Resistance 3 and I played that last coop.
Kill yourself nigger

I wish the Devastator had a better model and the Plasma and Sniper rifle weren't Secrets/DLC though.

this shit doesn't deserve the Doom name and oyu know it.

Devil Daggers
It may seem like a shitty arena shooter at first, but the more you play for higher survival times the more you realize how well the game is actually put together. It's near-fucking-perfect in every regard, the only downsides being that on a REALLY high level (like 600-700 seconds in) your chances of survival might feel more dependent on luck than anything, and the direction of the game just doesn't gel with everyone. Most people just want a decent singleplayer campaign, but Devil Daggers is 'just' a survival game on par with Pac-Man and Tetris. It's extremely good at what it does, but playing for score is a rather foreign concept to most people.

NecrovisioN
NecrovisioN is about fighting Germans in WW1, driving giant mechs and flying dragons, secret underground vampire societies, a magic gauntlet with tons of magic abilities like necromancy and freezing shit, dual-wielding your magic gauntlet with an automatic shotgun in the other hand, killing Satan, and a crazy-ass combo system. It's unpolished and buggy as all hell, but all this craziness just makes it work somehow.

Overload
If you played the Descent games, you are guaranteed to like this as well. It's Early Access with a free demo available online, but from what I've played it looks very promising, with a release scheduled this year in the winter. It ticks all the Descent boxes, on top of having some new additions VR support, new weapon types and enemy types, and some big-ass new levels. The downside that it uses FUCKING UNITY, as it probably won't run on a toaster. Even though it's Early Access, I'm shilling it now already to get the word out there.

Those first levels of Necrovision are a fucking pain and so are those giant enemies, goddamn.
I coukd enjoy the fucking game much more if there was more ammo and the enemies weren't such huge bulletsponges

...

Retro Blazer looked great, but it just disappeared after its kikestarter flopped.

Arma 2 and Thomsonb's dynamic battle generator is pretty good, there is something similar for Arma 3 as well.

EYE has the most soul

Blood Dragon was fairly decent, it's about the right length and size for the open world stuff to not be an obnoxious chore.

I played the demo, it was an Darkplaces game with fucking terrible level design and lousy furfag characters.

I would recommend Ziggurat, but that is a different kind of FPS. Still, a lot of fun.

Just go back and try some of the more obscure games from Wolfenstein-3D to the 2007 cut-off period then. I quite like this game, plays like a classic shooter in a lot of ways.

Where is the av2.wad, sunlust.wad, chillax-v9.7.3.wad for this fucking piece of shit then you fucking shill?
