Sacred 2 Gold (Poop)

I fully expect this to get zero interest, but even at least one of you lazy fat fucks give it a shot, then my mission will be accomplished.

sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred_2:Community_Patch

It's a gog version of Sacred 2 Gold edition - the latest, the fullest and the least fucked version of immense open world diablo-clone set in nazi german anime world of Ancaria. Fight elves, robots and undead metal fans.

Well it's called a community fucking patch dude what do you think? It fixes bugs, adds content, rebalances game, all that shit.

Because it's good. GOOD!
It has hand crafted giant world with secrets, easter eggs, hidden quests, insane attention to detail, atmospheric locations and "smart" scaling system where enemies stop leveling up depending on their geographical position. Community patch refines this system further.
If there is one game that did level scaling well it's Sacred 2. With patch. Probably.
But yeah you can enter every house, climb every stairs and find every developer in the huge beautiful world.

Because Sacred 3 is a fucking travesty, pretty much being Dungeon Siege 3 of sacred franchise. Fuck them. Fuck giving them money. If it's even the same studio, because I don't really follow this kind of shit.
It's also like 10 years old, who the fuck buys 10 years old games?

Yes? I think? It allows you to host lan game and/or a dedicated server. So yeah I think it's possible.

Play on silver, bronze is for casuals.
You can't respec so do research on skills before investing.
Press P for sick screenshot mode.
Game save them into fucking TGA format, but also removes UI.

Better fonts, because you're a blind fuck

Boy, you're gun get raped.

It's one of those sad, boring games that only german autists play. It lacks personality, it's no fun, like playing a spreadsheet.

If I had a PC I'd give it a go.

It's a diablo clone so I guess? If you find genre in general boring that is.

It fucking oozes personality, I dunno what are you talking about.

I think there was console version? On xbox360 or something.

What, you want thanks or something? Nigger fuck you. Look, fuck you, fuck the plane you flew in on, fuck them shoes, fuck those socks with the belt on it, fuck yo gay ass fairy faggot post and t-thanks

Motherfucker.

What a nicely timed screenshot.

I don't give a fuck, I'm doing the game service, not you.

I was playing this shit for years, so my reaction is pretty good.

So does this game actually allow for no-pan or is this just a misleading screenshot.
Also can you put a bag over your character's head?

There is a nude mod right fucking there dude.
Of course by default game doesn't have any real nudity.
As for bag - maybe, there are ultra rare joke items.

I thought the classes were kinda boring in Sacred 2, compared to Sacred 1.

Really? I though while excellently implemented all basic Sacred 1 classes were generic archetypes, except for vampiress maybe.
>barbarian gladiator

While in sacred 2 you have
Returning paladine chick aaand driad. That's one is boring sure.

Now Sacred 1 expansion character were fucking amazing, no question here. I wish sacred 2 just had more classes in general.

Yeah I guess the real issue is that I am missing the Vampire and the Succubus.

...

Game has pretty impressive physics for something released 10 years ago.

I know what you're doing user

What? No? Pure coincidence.

...

And then there's this.

And this is why you should use better grass mod.

...

I'm pretty sure they were signing those in Sacred 1. Apparently it became too much of a hassle.

...

Actually yes Sacred 2 is also on both PS3 and XBOX360, so pirate it somewhere motherfucker.

How to build Driad? Its feels like she cant kill shit after leaving starting location.

Shit man I wish I could help you.
I only played hit-em-in-the-face classes. Well I played undead warrior as full skelemancer, but still.

The idea behind each class is that you can build them in several ways. For example saraph can be either full melee or full magic class. Or something in-between, but I doubt effectiveness of those.
Similarly undead dude can be gladiator or a summoner.
So I guess driad also has a choice between something.

sacred 1 was better

low tier

For you

Is there anything wrong with the Steam version which I bought several years ago?

Old version. Just patch game.

I won't even argue. It has better combat animations, better itemization, better music, better lore, because you know, sacred 2 just uses sacred 1 lore and adds some redundant shit in there like "gods".
But I like Sacred 2's aesthetic, world design, character customization and muh girl Seraphim a lot more. Overall Sacred 1 may be a better diablo clone, but Sacred 2 has more charm and character to it.

It's the same as gog one + steam drm + steam overlay. So you're trading your freedom for some added functionality.
So you can just use that prefectly fine.
I'm running steam one if anything.

Steam version work Offline just like a GoG.

Well "steam drm" is just a dll file and sometimes hook to it. Some steam games can work perfectly fine without it.

Friendly tip for new players.

When I first played this game, I tried to complete every side quest in every geographic area before moving on to the next zone. This was a terrible idea.

There are so many side quests of such varying quality that you will burn yourself out fast trying to find and complete them all. It's much more fun to simply explore areas that look interesting to you between main story quests.

I played this fucking ages ago using the angel with that skill that summons a giant gun. Been meaning to get back into it though. Think i'll roll as the killer robot this time though.

I think that's exactly what happened to me the first time. Like sometimes you'd find a really cool quest but a lot of them were forgettable.

I played this way back and I remember the targeting being really bad to the point where it was difficult to target a moving enemy making range combat a pain in the ass and making it so in melee the enemy almost always got in the first hit because your stuck trying to target the fucker, does the fan patch fix this? I'd love to play again but fighting with the controls really put me off.

BFG. Just max and you should oneshot everything except enemy with magic/ghost immune.

Just press Shift button while shooting in enemy direction.

I second this btw.
Sometimes there are interesting quests, but there are a lot of "bring me 20 bear asses from across the entire fucking map" as well.
The fact that most quests, including shitty ones, usually have a wall of autistic text doesn't help. Try to read the first and the last sentence, usually only those are about quest itself.
You can safely decline any quests you want. I think.

You might want to go through main towns first to have teleports open.
You can freely warp between teleports by pressing M and then clicking desired teleport.
Also get a horse or something as soon as you can. Unlike sacred 1 here it's hard to become faster than average horse.

BFG is Sacred 1 was so fucking satisfying, it could mow down packs of mobs from get go, while in Sacred 2 it only hits one enemy by default. I don't know if there are enhancements to make it like in the original though, I never use it.

If you played early versions, especially before Ice and Blood chances that it was super fucked, so yeah try it now with Community Patch.
I only have difficulties targeting giant bats in underground areas, as cursor thinks that I'm clicking on ceiling or some shit.

Also if you use long ranged weapon that is actually well LONG, like mentioned BFG make sure you don't stand next to the enemy, otherwise your projectiles will spawn behind them and won't hit shit.

Oh and yeah
SOME QUESTS CAN BE FAILED
So if you're autistic about your journal take care what quests you take on.
Usually the ones that include FUCKING ESCORTING are the easiest to fail, because enemies target your escort first and just swarm them.
By hitting space you heal your party first, but sometimes enemies just one shot them.
You can't give your guys weapons unlike in Sacred 1. Some escorts only lose consciousness and can get revived, but some others die outright failing fucking quest, so make sure you know what you're accepting.

There is special blue quest for each class, I think escorts from those can't die, but be extra careful. Those quest reward class-specific high-tier shit, so you're supposed to do them.

I really liked that game, even with the bad rockband playing in the intro. I liked moving around and exploring the world. There were A LOT of quests though, that other user it right to ignore most of them.

The field of view was a little restrictive though, I always felt I didn't see enough around me.

...

So i'm getting a "Sorry, you don't have permission for that!" when I try to download the community patch, Guess i have to make another forum account I'll never use again.

Use 10min email

I just pulled the first link from google.
You can get it from a bunch of places without any registration.
Just look it up.

Also speaking about the lore
sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred:Book_of_the_Seraphim

I played through Sacred 1 and it's expansion a bunch of times. I just can't help to love Sacred 2 more. Don't judge me.

...

That wasn't supposed to be spoilered but eh.

Spoonfeed me. I'm only using the nude mod and fog remover.

By default grass is eye-meltingly bright, "grass mod" is just texture replacement ripped out of bigger texture mod that makes less cancerous.

I remember playing this ages ago. It was pretty good. I played as that egyptian dog robot thing.

It was pretty bad brah.

I failed the easter egg quest in my first run and I even don't know why. I also got my ass handed to me repeatedly by a huge spider boss in some cave in human lands because I couldn't kite it there playing a BFG seraph (not fucking seraphim, it's like with goy/goyim). When I returned there about 20 levels later with better gear, the spider wasn't there anymore, meaning no way to complete the quest for his killing.

Another problem I had was not being able to cross the gate located in the circled out area of pic related. Was that for evil campaign characters only or something?

i played Inquisitor extensively and don't remember to have to get there. I'm reinstalling now anyways, I'll keep this area in mind.

Its a main quest area with Ghost Magic boss.

Blind Guardian endorsed this game, its alright. BG is dank as fuck.

People in-game sometimes call singular seraph "seraphima" which is actual word for a female seraph in some languages. Assuming there are male and female seraphsim to begin with.

It's funny, because I completed the main quest for the light side already and still can't go there. Restarted the game on the gold difficulty, will try that again.

Bunny ears aren't enough?

I bought this game when it came out in the states and all I got was a buggy poorly optimized mess on top of mediocre gameplay and mmo-style questing.

And you forgot a dorf carrying a cannon on his back and a fugly winged daemonette called a succubus among Sacred 1 characters.

You can't respec your character in-game, but there is a character editor that allows saving only legit characters with legit stats, so it's as good as respeccing.

Poison all the way? Get the skill that prolongs the damage-over-time effects and a decent blowpipe with a venomous fang inserted.

I had fun playing a poison dealing dark elf character in Sacred 1. Poisoned weapons and fighting over a poison trap rune synergize pretty well.

post bare tits before I completely lose interest

I remember this running poorly when it came out. Does it seem to show on newer PCs?

...

Why? They are pretty meh without boob physics.

cool fuckin torrent magnet bro

The BFG in Sacred 2 has some chance of piercing the victim and also scoring the one behind them, but it's pretty low. And the Pelting Strikes skill doesn't produce several shots with it, which is a shame. You can make it a two-hit attack, if you pick the Succession modifier, but that's it.

cool misleading post bro

he implicitly stated 'bare'

Sacred 1 was kind of fun. Sacred 2 was EXTREMELY boring. Both of them are too long and quest oriented to really do the diablo 2 "consecutive difficulty level" thing, so you are really only ever going to play normal, which is so easy that I cleared it first time without a single death and spent pretty much the whole game struggling to find anything worth fighting.

back in the old days my computer could barely run this game

...

the other difficulties arent even alloys

The elf chain lightning is pretty good. Too bad elves must be removed.

Dryads too?

Explain how to play that elf, because I don't have a faint idea how. Shit's tedious with her. She clears hordes of small critters pretty well, but sucks against elites and bosses.

Play it like an elf, cosy up to it and let things rape you.

All of the Elf mage's aspects have one masskiller, one single target and one "middle of the road" spell (even though the pure magic aspect is a bit weird in that the masskiller spell is the teleport spell with a certain modifier).

For fire the single target is the incendiary shower spell. The middle of the road is the fireball spell and the masskiller is blazing tempest.
For ice the single-target is nominally frost flare, but glacial thorns if you "narrow the cone" by targeting a point behind your target is actually a better single-target. Raging Nimbus is the mass killer.
For magic, the single-target is that weird weapon-based attack (magic coup), the "middle of the road" is the chain-lighting thing (cobalt strike) you referred to and the mass killer is shadow step with the "explosion" gold mod.

Elves are pretty much the "master race" at the point in history Sacred 2 is set in. Humans later take over everything and are the dominant species in Sacred 1.

For now I simply Cobalt Strike everything with a magic coup once in while on more resistant mobs.

I like the Human lands, exploring the areas even if no quest are related is one of my favorite part of Sacred 1 and 2.

>not impregnating and forming a happy family

golly gee, I wonder who could be behind this post

Copypaste from steam forums:

[TUTORIAL] How to play CO-OP
Needed Software

1. A brain

2. Download Tuungle or Evolve (for some Tuungle is problematic)

Evolve Download [www.evolvehq.com]

3. Make a Tuungle/Evolve account. Depending on which you chose. Link to Tuungle [www.tunngle.net]

Evolve Link [www.evolvehq.com]

4. When done downloading (and restarting computer) sign into the software "bottom of the window" if it asks you to do so.

5. In the top left there should be a thing that say's search for game… in it type "Sacred 2" or if using Evolve Make a party and set the game to Sacred 2.

6. Join the lobby that say's Sacred 2 Fallen angel (most people in it) or in evolve hit search for more.

7. Start a game in the lan option in COOP and advertise it in the chat! (dont spam tho admins might ban you) or simply play the game and wait for people to join your party.

8. Play and wait for profit! :D

bumpo
Did you notice than when you rotate the camera, light plays on UI, relic gems and items in your inventory? Nice attention to detail right there.

I don't know why but somehow I'm so racist against elfs

Well they are like 70% of all enemies in this game.
You can even be a race traitor for extra edge.

why would you not want your children to have superior, long lived, beautiful and magical genes?

Developers are nazi Germans? What did you expect?

Why would you want your children to be sluts and whores? If you are gonna racemix at least go for hard working dwarves, fit orcs, or monster girls in general. Not filthy elven cumdumps.

Why do you suck at raising children?

Its speciesmixing you fucking faggot!

...

stop being a terrible father, and elves are monster girls

So I'm making a dragon mage thats going mainly use the berzerk dragon form and im not finding sny info on builds like that anyone have an idea what skills and attributes i should get/focus on?

Elves are disposable cumdumps, not proper monster girls.

Try to build him around lower spell cd and life leech. General problem of this build is a short duration of Dragon Form.

Manlet kike spotted.

The dragon forms have one gigantic problem. When you enter one of the forms the game discards pretty much all your passive stats. Your skills don't matter, your gear doesn't matter either nor do your attributes. The only things that matter is the level of the form itself and the combat art modifiers. This obviously makes the forms an absolute bitch to balance and I think they are a bit weak late game (though I think the CM-patch buffed them a bit to be more long term viable).

If you are serious about doing a Dragon Form/Dragon Berserk build the only things you should focus on are. Dragon Magic Focus (and perhaps Lore for modifier points) and Concentration for regen of the form itself. All attribute points go into Stamina.
Gear should only focus on Combat Art regen, Dragon Magic aspect regen, +Dragon Magic Focus, +Combat Art levels and +Dragon Magic aspect regen.
Dragon Form and Dragon Berserk should be at the highest level possible. Everything else only matters when you are in human form!

...

Damn, thanks for the help, I did alittle digging and found that alchemy is usable in dragon form and that the patch did infant provide a large buff late game.

Post tits, right now.

Tell me about spell resistance. Does melee character need it?
On something like platinum and niobium will I get one shot by mages and bosses if I don't have it?
Or can I just get by through increasing will power with ever level?
Article on wiki is too complex for me to understand, so can somebody give me a simple answer?

Spell Resistance is actually quite good. Especially in boss fights.

Basically spells don't do attack vs. defense "to hit" rolls so you have this mechanic where the caster's Spell Intensity is compared to the target's Spell Resistance with a random roll somewhere in there. If the roll wins the target suffers full spell damage, if the roll loses the target suffers reduced damage.
Beyond that it protects against critical hits. Both attributes are very useful in boss fights as some of those have some really heavy-hitting spells. Beyond that if you take the skill to 75 (with actual points) aka "Mastery" you also get a fairly substantial reduction in DoT and debuff effects.

So even if spell does hit, this skill still reduces damage right?

Willpower increases your spell resistance by a flat amount.
The skill for spell resistance increases your spell resistance by a percentage.

Since I haven't actually played this shitheap in 6 or so years I couldn't tell you if you really do need it as a melee and if you did, how much you actually need. Usually, you'd want to get as much defense as you can as melee in these kinds of games.

I remember that you can get every skill to 200 through accessories or some shit if you have jew skill maxed. I also remember being fucked by magic so I asked this.

If you want the mastery bonus you still need 75 hardpoints in a skill and there was a nerf to the amount of +skills that could spawn on jewelry a while back though it's still a good idea to stuff most of your sockets with +skills rings/ammies.

Yeah, it makes sense to put points in willpower to go along with Spell Resistance.
Other things to note about willpower: The Shadow Warrior and the Dragon Mage both have a buff that boosts willpower by quite a lot. Also in the CM patch (that everyone who play this game seem to be using these days) they changed lightsabres to get bonus damage from willpower. Willpower also does something for energy shields as far as I remember.

What went wrong?

Is there a necromancer in this game? I want to fill the world with the undead.

Das cool and all but can i host a hamachi server to play co op?

Yes.

Yes.
Sacred 1 has vampire girl that does necromancy, and Scared 2 has undead centurion that can summon a bunch of shit.
They don't really compare to the daddy of course.

That would be the Shadow Warrior. Don't get your hopes up for hordes of skeletons, but he can have a nice little posse of undead thingies.

His skellies are more similar to golems, I think you can only have up to four, but they don't die, so you don't need to resummon them and they get cool shit like capes and armor when you upgrade them.

You also have a reanimate style combat art for more temporary undead meat.

Playing now with that BFG seraph in gold difficulty, still too easy overall. I guess that few bosses are still OP like before on silver. The Christmas island one, the giant werewolf and the giant spider were the toughest for me. The rest were piss easy, especially all dragons. The mana vortex from swamp region gave me some trouble, but only because I couldn't target it properly.

I tried playing this several times over the years. It's technically got all of the elements that should make it a fun diablo clone, but it falls flat somewhere - like almost every diablo clone.
This game just feels flat, boring and kind of depressing to play. Where's the fun? Why isn't there fun? I can't even explain it, but it's not enjoyable to play for some reason.

I think the density is too low. Lots of open space with few enemies

I followed a guide years ago and I think it made the game too easy. It was a dual wielding Seraphim that focused on shopping for rare swords. I did have quite a bit of fun although I don't think I played with the community patch.

It would be better with more monster variety and more randomness to their location. Procedurally generated camps, patrols, skirmishes and so on. Changes to behavior depending on the time of day, like for example undead hiding from the sun during the day. Not just small groups of max. two kinds of monsters wandering to and fro. That gets old pretty fast.

Oh, and the giant demon from the western part of human lands was also difficult. It was because of his summons.

As somebody else is said it's a boring german game for boring germans liking boring german games.
I still love it though, despite not being a german.

I used to play Sacred 1 like at launch, like 1995 maybe, can't fucking remember. I remember I had a Qt that got nerfed somehow and quit though.

Didn't they declare that subsequent uses of health potions have progressively lesser effect the more of them you take?
And Diablo 1 had instant healing too, somehow that didn't make it more boring.

Compared to the final version original release of Sacred 1 was broken as fuck. You could stack "kill lower level enemies on sight" items and go around murdering shit 10 levels above you by just running past them.
Dark Elf had skill completely disabling enemies' AI rather than lowering their atk.
You could stack up disarm skill and swim in enemies' weapons, lightsabers included.

First time I hear of it. Then again I never had to take more than a couple of pots at a time.

You couldn't have around 500 of them at all time and just spam 1 key to just draw them from your inventory. On the contrary - belt management was pretty big part of the game.

If you are playing a non-melee character in D1 you also rarely have to take more than a couple of them at a time. And even in D2 everybody and their aunt knew how to make rejuvenation potions that also worked instantly.

Are those children on a field trip through Half-Naked Aventurer Land?

It's speciesmixing between caucasoids and negroids, too; miscegenation is a better word.

Wait, is that edited? Are her eyes really that lopsided in the film? That's horrible.

You know only the half of it. It's also the other way around, it's a sponsored nudism popularization tour in elven boondocks.

Forgive me for not posting explicit pics on a Christian imageboard.

Lore bump

Not Sisters of Battle from WH40K?

BTW your "better fonts" are too wide. The "shared stash" tab becomes too narrow for its name.

Oops. Haven't meant to sage.

Sacred 2 was awful, though. Sacred 1 was great.

I don't know much about WH40K. Weren't females retconned into that when SJWs took over games workshop or something? There was some shitstorm on Holla Forums a few years ago about that.

I don't care tbh.
It looks good, it's readable and it fits game's aesthetic just right.
You can fuck around with fonts in locale folder, game supports pretty much all standard true type fonts.

Yeah, it's, like, just your opinion man.

Post pics of the nude mod in action without leaf censors please.

...

So what you're trying to say is that it actually looks like dogshit. Got it.

If modded boobs is a deal breaker for you, try another hobby.

You say modded boobs like its a bad thing.

Have a big red stick up your arse.

Game should start in human lands tbh, it actually looks, sounds and feels like a sequel to Sacred 1 here.

...

>No I realize that he was most probably a furfag

Well it's a russian tracker, what do you think?

...

It's a big game.

Areas from the expansion not shown.

A T M O S P H E R E

Yeah, it's a pain in the ass to find relevant map that isn't 500x500 pixels. It just means that game is even bigger in its final form. There is also christmas island.

Then make it yourself.

And I expected a better reward after completing that 'Saving Christmas' quest line than a shitty Santa suit armor set.

Diablo 2's godlike sound design probably has a lot to do with it. All the clinking and plinking and crackling of my fine stones and furs and leathers really makes me horny for loot.

I forgot to ask. There are supposedly 20 Temples of the Gods in the game. I have found only 17 of them. Where are the rest?

It's 18, I overlooked the one in the middle of the desert.

Is there a reason to visit all of them? I think I've run past few without entering, does that count as visiting?

I know of an achievement for finding all of them, so not much of an actual reason. Just curiosity and autism.
