Dream Game Thread

If you had the opportunity (budget and most apt/preferred studio) to bring a game to life about another media, what would it be?
It doesn't matter if it's manga, comic, film or book, choose what you would like to see in vidya format.

For example, i would very much like to see a Fire Punch game, even if making a legit product for it would be kinda hard and it would probably result in a niche and misunderstood gameplay.

And it wouldn't hit the public before getting heavy censorship

I want a game that will kill me in real life.

It already exists, it's called the rope game. I heard it's quite easy to play too.

This is a shitty thread compared to the other one that was more detailed with what you wanted to do. What ever happened to it anyway? It was a smug black man pepe edit

(checked)

I'm lazy and i put no effort on things.

I had this idea for some time in my head and I just have to post it
It would be an RPG and named "to be number one" just like the hong kong mafia flick.
The goal ingame would be to become the strongest warlord on the planet.

themed in a setting similar to Technolyze but in a more primitive and non-technologic style.
After an apocalyptic event, humanities progress was nullified and everything went back to square one.
People use horses for transportation, bulls for agriculture and swords for war. Everything is primitive again.
Society is made up mostly of criminals, scumbags and good-for-nothings and the rulers are a douzen mafia-like warlords.
The athmosphere is dark and overall there is a pretty nihilistic world view in most of the people.

you play as a young adult whose parents were killed when he was a teen. Ever since he decided to become a made man and get revenge for his parents. During the past 5 years he went through lots of exercising and different jobs to earn some money. Now he wants to focus on his revenge. The problem is just that this would mean killing the strongest warlord of the world.

There would have a world map on which you can travel and enter different cities or dungeons. Every city has different equipment to buy.
The world is pretty open and you can freely do whatever you want. There are no time limits but a calendar with day/night cycles and weather. Different events are available on diff times.
Each city demands different materials / armors / weapons and you can earn some extra money as a merchant by buying and selling gear not infinitely of course.
Each dungeon has different items / gear to find.

The world map and the dungeons are filled with enemy gang soldiers, "animals" and "plants" read: monsters and battling them will give you experience.
Different places have different enemies with different difficulties which yield different Exp.
There will be an item that can make you avoid random encounters and make it easier for you to explore dungeons/world map and find items/treasures
However, progressing the story would require you to battle and level up as boss fights would be tough
You can freely choose when to level and when to go into boss fights

You start your journey with level 20 and by levelling up you get to learn new attacks / combos / moves.
All attacks are limited to specific weapons and to learn them you need to level up using this specific weapon

During your journey you can take on quests from regular people to earn fame.
Once you have enought fame, mafia guys will want to hire you for jobs. You can either do jobs for one clan or multiple ones similar to Shinobido
Fulfilling jobs for people will improve your affinity to this person and grant you access to some ressources that only they can offer (money, items, arms, abilities, informations)
Your actions shape the outcome of battles between the rivaling 12 mafia clans and you can choose to either destroy or support a clan
You can also wage war against clans and destroy them (even the ones you are affiliated with)
If your affinity with one clan is maxed you can also decide to join the clan officially which will give you access to more ressources.

Rasing affinity with some characters will enable you to recruit this person into your party and benefit from his skills in battle
Leveling up with this character in your party will make you learn new combo moves that you perform with your ally
There will be the typical RPG archetypes available (healer, thief, tank, sniper, supporter/stat-buffer etc)
You can date female characters and by maxing out their affinity you can benefit from their skills but it would not be necessary for completing the game I liked it very much in persona

The final dungeon would be the HQ of the guy who killed your parents.
He will be on level 99 and your last enemy and after defeating him you become the strongest and most powerful man of the planet and the game ends.

Whelp, that's pretty elaborate.

I thought this thread was already dead

Do I still have it? Yes I still have it. Lots of things I've decided to change, but never cared to write in.

Disgaea MMO

Normal Disgaea classes apply
Any person can equip any item, obviously usefulness depends on class
Later classes can be unlocked like Final Fantasy 14 through reincarnation
Monster classes exist. There is no penalty for using the model of a low level monster if you like it.
You can reincarnate as the student/servant/whatever title of someone else. Only a low amount of students per master (2-3). Master can not reincarnate as the student of one of his students.
Can learn some skills from students. Only if you party with them though. Restrictions to skills apply either through limitations or locking you out of certain skills. You retain the learned skill if you lose your student or the student reincarnates as a new class.
Person classes can not learn 90% of monster skills. Monster classes can not learn 90% of person skills.
Need to add many more spells than original Disgaea games
Your guild is your faction

Every leveling area tier has two different possibilities. Area from 2-5 players and area for 6-10 players
Bonuses to XP (maybe others) for going in a party
Going solo is possible, but not as rewarding
Higher tier of equipment and such impossible without partying

Content focused on both dungeons and diving into your items (with the usual randomly generated maps) for better gear or improving your current gear.
Dungeons focuses more on giving the players a fun tour through specially crafted areas with lots of optional side content (a la Blackrock Depths, Stratholme from WoW).
Dungeons designed in such a way as to let the players take quick routes to their favorite bosses in 30 mins to 2 hours or spending the entire day clearing everything.
Both dungeons and item world can award you with better items.
Bosses occur in the item world as statisticians. Be careful because they're not alone!
You can of course skip floors if you wipe a lot on a floor, but you have to run for the exit!
You can transform any item to look like any other item, but only if you ranked up the item. Restrictions apply. (You want a Sword X to look like Staff Y. So you level up Staff Y. If you try to transform the look of Sword X into Staff Y it will have the stats of Sword X but will be a staff class weapon. So grinding lower level weapons to get their look is a time waster.

Guild master is named Overlord (or similar)
Overlord can create his own Castle (guild housing) in its own instance, can also designate other guild members to be architects
Dark Assembly is made out of vassals of the Supreme Overlord and you will have to convince them through quests/beating the shit out of everyone of them/bribes or just getting lucky into getting everything for your Castle like normal Disgaea.
Creating castles can be done like Minecraft/Terraria where you have to walk around or just have you flying around putting things down.
Overlord's Castle can have player housing, potential auction house, stores, item world portal, lounge area, etc.
Guild housing doubles as a guild dungeon, adding more content to the game with player created dungeons. This is also to make people put effort into their castles to show off how great their castle is.
Grind for materials to build the Overlord's Castle up to huge sizes over time. Dive into the building materials to upgrade them to higher tiers!

All PvP should have some equal rewards and/or incentive
World is not instanced, so world pvp will occur. Take cues from Hillsbrad, Stranglethorn, etc. to create areas where you have to choose one side to agree with (either guild or individual) and you become aligned with that side/town/whatever.
Battleground modes exist like capture the flag, KotH, kill the leader in a giant battle and so on.
Overlord's Castle can have a duel arena. Send your rivals duel challenges and show off your guild arena. Yours and their guild can spectate if they are in the castle (other guild formally invited to watch). Duels are scheduled by both players.
You will have to grind hard to get the highest level of PvP commendations. Only a few will ever reach the top which will have unique rewards. Again like vanilla WoW.

Crow game!
I wanna go on adventures with other crowbros and collect shinies and pick fights with other murders and fuck with humans!

This could be super fun, like the latest game where you are a snake and you do snake stuff.

I'd love something like Tokyo Jungle, but with better gameplay. Something like a suburban animal simulator. Be a crow, be a squirrel, unlock the king of the trashcan.. The Racoon!

War Thunder, only not made by russians.

I've got two.
>Hexagonal grid map that randomizes each time you play

Disgaea MMO would be cool, but c'mon man.

Also, I'd make an action sandbox rpg based on Ragnarok Online. Similar to Rune Factoy but focusing more on the combat and exploring a vast world and dungeons while skipping things like the calendar, waifus and farming. And don't forget the classes up to 2-2, transclasses were the beginning of RO's downfall.
Ragnarok has an amazing setting, too bad the main game went downhill pretty fast and the sequel sucks hard because, well, it's a WoW style MMO and it's a very bad one at that.
RBO is still one of my favorite games to this day.

Heavy customizable mech action game were you fight kaiju/bigger or normal mech. I have a soft spot for robots like medabots or lbx, so even if maybe not a lot of people would like it, it's my dream game.

Post it in enough threads and maybe some one will make it.
I posted the same image in that other thread.

Meme harder! I want this crow game.

I'd pump her rum, if you know what i mean.

Basically MGSV: Rhodesia Edition.

Setting is imaginary African country in the 1980s that is about to get (((enriched))), the government is going to vote niggers as equals and the UN is present in full force to guarantee a "peaceful" transition. You're a military officer that rebels, steals a bunch of helicopters and commanders an abandoned oil drilling platform off the coast.

It would basically play like MGSV with the difference that you can't fulton niggers, you can only incapacitate them or kill them, not recruit them. For the rest, a bigger emphasis would be put on your soldiers because your MC can't do every mission, many of them requiring a specialist or another. Also, there would be away missions that play like XCOM ones and the ability to fight enemy Metal Gears with your own (that you research, build and customize) while bringing your troops and vehicles along as support.

One thing I would like it to have is a Nemesis system for some of the sub bosses, so that sometimes it's not preferable to snipe an enemy commander from far away, but to capture and subvert him to your cause, and then use his as a double agent.

just let this guy do his thing

He'd just end up making a movie instead.

He would make the ultimate film to destroy Kikewood once and for all, that's for sure.

ZOE 3 literally never ever

;_;7

what

I want a game about a inchling having tiny adventures in a big world!
A game with lots of exploration, mystery, and wonder. Climbing and running around, Fighting or avoiding/fleeing various creatures, talking to or even getting a ride from friendly animals. Maybe even run into a human that engages you with curiosity. Something fun and (at least somewhat) light hearted, but still exciting and suspenseful.

CAW CAW CAW CAW
[I'll capture the enemy flag!]

Skyrim with guns.
a good elder scrolls game would be nice though

Inchlings are also good.

I'd like to see a Kamen Rider that's not just an decent/okay musou/fighting/side scrolling brawler that has about the budget of tacks and gum.

But, for stuff that I think is prime material for a game but has never had any I'd say Guyver. The series always seems to be in a weird void of niche and everyone knowing what it is. Dunno if it's just the creator not wanting it, since the dude has been working on it since 86 and is still going.

Chao garden, but with fairies
imagine petting and feeding fairies

Op, have you heard of the famous Japanese visual novel that has a very heavy theme of cuckoldry? My dream game will be designed around the goal of fucking your waifu while you're jacking it in the corner.

The one based on your parents past? Haven't read it, sorry.

you destroyed him

My brother. Hakumei to Mikochi is super cute.

Absolutely yes. There should be more cute fairy games.
