That would have made infinitely more sense with PS4 stealing the game. By the time PC gets Vita ports, they're ancient news with an entire 3 or more part series finished before PC sees the first. PS4, on the other hand, gets the games at the same time as Vita and has even stolen certain series (see: Senran, Cold Steel, Gravity Rush, ect.).

I usually look forward to software and hardware besides the technological progress of the ever increasingly cyberpunkish digital era we live in and push through to see insane shit happen.

I mean, Trump is the US President, UK is out of the UE, PC is getting Nip console games up the ass, Nintendo is selling a fucking Tegra Tablet, mainstream media is getting shat on, Nationalism is rising throughout the Western World again, PS4 and Xbone no longer have exclusives thanks to streaming and direct support, DirectX is getting its ass handed to it by Vulkan, a new System Shock is happening, people with no money for food can afford smartphones, consumer grade VR is a thing and caught on, current year non American Godzilla by Anno, Total War Warhammer, Shitmar and 40K actually moving forward, Samurai Jack Season 5, Devilman Anime in current year.

All of this in like 4 years

Cold Steel 1 and 2 were never on the PS4 and were mostly played on the Vita, and this shit is still relevant because it means PC will likely get CS3 as well, a game that has yet to be released.

Coldsteel was mentioned not because 1 and 2 were on the PS4 but because it's a series that has gone from Vita to PS4 (CS3 is a PS4 exclusive, thus it stole the game). I have no doubt PC will eventually get the whole series, but I also have no doubt that CS3 will be a good two years old on consoles before PC sees CS2. Also, you're focusing on one of maybe three or four examples of this happening on PC when there's a metric fuckton of examples of it happening on PS4. It's not that PC doesn't work there. It's that PS4 just works a whole hell of a lot better.

Krita isn't good for pixelfart though. The paint bucket is buggy as hell, selection outline doesn't show precisely which pixels are selected, it's slow to move things (need to change tools just to move a selection), and it's sort of convoluted to make a true pixel brush.

You're using too many colors that don't add anything. Not to mention it's all flat as fuck.

Literally what I said. You'd be better off just not having those extra colors. Good pixel art is all about using the least amount of colors to create the illusion of your image. Colors that are too similar make the image look muddy and gross. You've used a lot of colors that you don't gain anything from.

For instance your 3rd image has 61 colors, while this only has 15.

and would suggest checking how readable your pixel art is by converting it into greyscale so you can pinpoint problems with your values without the distracting colors. But as he said reduce your palette. There is a great 16 colors palette at Androidarts you can play with. Look at gameboy or NES sprites for inspiration as well.

I don't know what "basic shit" is. There's a big difference between art knowledge and krita knowledge. The former is how well you can draw, and the latter is how well you can use your art knowledge with the krita software.

Check Ctrl+paint. It's for Photoshop but the philosophy remains unchanged. You can easily adapt the rest by searching krita's manual (to find an equivalent to masks for instance).

I get the "connected strokes" issue: when I lift the pen & press it onto another area of the canvas to start drawing again Krita instantly draws a connecting line from where I lifted. I wish they'd fix it but no one gives a flying fuck about this brand. I still have an old Wacom Cintiq 12WX with a 12" 1280x800 TN panel display, but my Ugee has a nice 21.5" 1080p IPS panel. It's more preferable to work on the larger screen with much better color & also more preferable to tape a numberpad onto an "off brand" pen display instead of paying Wacom's insane prices just to have embedded shortcut buttons.

Pretty damn good for inks to create a smeared effect, but it's useless for larger resolutions as the effect doesn't scale.
