Let's talk mobile games, are there any that aren't trash (micro transactions, paid unlockable content, paid skins)? The only semi-decent ones I can think of the are sonic 1&2 ports. Crashlands is pretty meh.

Ports and emulation are inherently shit due to touch controls not being on par with real ones.
Unless it's something turn based like Disgaea or Xcom, and even then it's shit.
So yeah, you don't play games on your phone you fucking pleb.

Mobile is a crap platform for games nomadder how hard squeenix tries. Speaking of, you know something is wrong if Square Enix is promoting it.

CYOA games work alright on mobile devices. Stuff like Steve Jackson's shit, or that Lone Wolf game, or the Fighting Fantasy stuff.
Then there's Pixel Dungeon and its various forks, simplified rogue-likes to be workable within reason on mobile.
Honestly, you're better off just saving good articles you find on the net to something like pocket and using your device as a portable magazine with content you've collected yourself.

Most of paid ones, ports and emulators.
Get controller or Moto Z as it will eventually get controller. Only ones that works well on touchscreen are slow turn based games or Shoot 'em ups, also Osu.

Android and iOS has a casual version of TWEWY for the sub humans who can't deal with the DS version's controls.

play some open source pc games like battle for wesnoth on your linux phone
i mean you are not running gay shit like android or iOS right :DDD

I played Fire Emblem Heroes for a few hours and enjoyed it, but it just made me want to play a real Fire Emblem, so I'm going to buy Echoes when that comes out.

That's literally the only phone game I've enjoyed on any level.

wtf

...

FE:heroes were actually decent game. Besides dailies and energy making sure you won't play the fucking game.
I actually done same thing but went to play Sacred Stones. Just to realize one thing making Heroes fun for me was lack of any RNG in gameplay.

Nah, that shit's for grills

2048 is the only game i have and i still play it every other week

can you play Pepsiman on a phone?
probably
but that's without physical controls and don't meme up a shitty abomination, holy fuck kill yourself.

the psp is the best and alway will be

Clash of clans

Urgh. My parents play that like it's the most serious thing in the universe. Guess it's karmic backlash for me as a kid.

FF Brave Exvius is bretty gud, you don't have to spend money to play it casually. If you have any sort of gambling addiction tendencies you should just avoid gacha games altogether though.

OpenXCOM

This.

Mobile can only do three things rightl: Solitaire, some rhythm games and Kairosoft games. Everything else is pretty garbage.
t. iGoy sheep for 7 years

Buy a PSP instead.

Was just going to recommend a solitaire game, ha.

MobilityWare's FreeCell is pretty good. Only has an ad at the start of the game and its easily dismissed. Decent production values otherwise

Dandy Dungeon
Final Fantasy brave exvius

theres this one phone game called merchant, i like to play it when i'm wasting time like taking a shit or waiting for my dog to finish taking a shit. it's a medieval fantasy jew simulator; you hire heroes and they fight monsters, you craft shit with the loot they haul back and sell/upgrade your heroes with it. there's naturally some stupid paid content but you can completely skip shelling out any cash by grinding.

Welp that killed some game off my backlog

Just map the psp's d-padkeys to your right analog stick you mongoloid, map it to both your d-pad and right analog if possible.
Also, playing mobile with a controller defeats the purpose of a mobile thing imo, just play on your computer.

Bitch have you even played MHFU on the original PSP hardware?! There are many reasons why claw grip is even a thing, this is one of it.

"this" what?
We're talking about emulation and third party controllers here, there's no reason not to use custom mappings..
I played it on ppsspp on PC and it played just fine with a right analog stick.

Actually most psp games with moveable view used the D-pad as the control to move the screens hence the Claw Grip.

The problem with mapping analog to D-pad stems from the fact that the D-pad view controls is more like toggling the view making it awkward to use an analog stick.

I don't play games on a small screen. Why would I? It's shit.

Well playing playing Fifth gen consoles and down have it's upgrade. And it can even be considered an upgrade playing handheld games on a phone.

not to mention if you wan wider screen you could just use Wifi Direct/Miracast on your phone to stream your emulator on the big screen.

Critical Ops is a counter strike clone. The only microtranactions it has are skins.

Do many people play it?

Pretty much obligatory: get a gamepad.

The only good thing to come out of that game is the porn.

Or I could bring my 3DS/PSP/chink handheld along with me.
