That's okay, because both of those had fuckall for direction and they only made a giant sandbox, which goes against both classic games and even the 3D sonic games. The momentum in Utopia sucks since you lose it almost immediately if you're not strictly on a downward slope. I'd be for it if they didn't suck at level design and actually put the mechanics to use.

There's a 3D game made by Sonic Team that's Generations 2 but with a third character thrown in. I can't see it being anything other than Adventure Sonic, or Boom Sonic. Maybe something new, but that would be gay.

Sonic Mania is made by a guy who was hired by Sega after seeing his fanmade engine and the games he made with it. Then they used that engine to have him do the remakes of Sonic CD, Sonic 1, and Sonic 2, all of which are by far the best versions of those games (except Sonic 1 and 2 are only on iOS and Android, which sucks).

I just played Utopia. On a lot of levels it puts every 3D sonic game to absolute shame.

I've often argued that video games aren't art on a number of positions. I think I have to rescind that belief now, a good game requires an artistic visionary to build a solid basis and I don't think you can be taught it, it's clearly something innate and largely lacking in the games industry. I hope whoever made the Utopia demo gets the opportunity to head an actual sonic game with full creative freedom.

Bob, being a million years old, thought this meant they would lock Chris in a rubber room, and fought tooth and nail to sue the school board and do anything he could to keep Chris from getting the help he needed.

Bob is also the inventor of the Greene County Conspiracy, which is the idea that this School Board trouble was caused when the Principal tried to molest Chris (he has no evidence that the principal was gay, especially since we're talking about 1980s Virginia), because this must be the only reason Chris would be sent to the Principal's Office, not because of his penchant for tard rage. After failing to sue the school board, this gang of gay pedophiles also made sure that they couldn't sell their house, so they had to move back after Chris graduated high school. This is the single most traumatic event in Chris's life, as it separated him from his "Gal Pals" from high school. In fact, his high school graduation is the Big Bad in Sonichu, commanding Mary Lee Walsh and the Jerkops, among other baddies, in the personified form of Count Graduon, a talking scepter that he subconsciously ripped off from obscure direct to video '80s one shot cartoon The Adventures of the American Rabbit, who is Chris's often cited first lifelong hero, before Sonic the Hedgehog.

Of course, years later, Chris would finally try to contact one of his gal pals only for them to tell him that they were only trying to virtue signal by hanging out with a retard, when really they all thought he was creepy, especially now, since they've googled his later pursuits.

Interesting to note is that Barb's other son, Cole, hates Bob and would have nothing to do with him, pretty much breaking off contact with the whole family over time. Granted, he already hated his mother after the time she almost shot him in the head after a night of clubbing or some shit. Of course, Cole is a major SJW and one of only two critics to give Toy Story 3 a bad review. But Bob's other children also refused to have anything to do with him, and they were successful doctors and stuff. They distanced themselves so hard that Chris didn't know he had a niece until she was a teenager, and then trolls assumed her identity to get info out of him.

Christian Whitehead (Taxman) is the main designer, and his cross-platform C++ "Retro Engine" which originated as a fan project got him hired by SEGA to make mobile remakes of Sonic CD, 1 and 2. The engine is also used for the Freedom Planet games and the upcoming Sonic Mania.

Sonic Mania is allegedly being developed with minimal input from Sonic Team, and "by the fans, for the fans" is being used as part of the advertising.

Monsters are not born, they're made. Chris is most definitely a victim of a society that raised him wrong. It takes a village to raise a child, and his entire village really dropped the ball on this one.
