Musous

Will they ever stop making these? Or can't they at least start improving them somehow?
Especially lately it feels like they churn out several same ones a year.

They need to give them more gameplay mechanics for sure. Ultimately, they should also give every single hero a completely unique and rich animation set with its own combos that aren't limited to strings of X with Y thrown in.
I'd like to see branching subclass paths for every hero, and more RPG mechanics sprinkled around in general.
Other mechanics, too. They've made so many nearly identical games that they might as well just start fucking around and experimenting and just go nuts with it.

Literally just go back to classic DW design (2/3/4/5) where any one of the enemy footsoldiers could ruin your day instead of just being pickups to fill a gauge.

Too easy to make, they will never really improve. If only they could add more strategic shit, like actually let you move the troops, but nope just add 50 more useless characters because why not?

...

Hell, musuo attacks are pretty much cutscenes now. 5 was where the series was finally going somewhere fun, then 6 came along and fucked everything up.

You mean Empires?

I would like a general magical girl crossover just like how they do for Super Robot Taisen but more involved. I guess it wouldn't happen because of licensing issues and just all around back and forth bickering for character representation if there is more than 3 groups involved.

Is empires good? Because it sounds like an improvement over the same musou games over and over.

Fuuuuck my life.

Hyrule Warriors was the shit. Hopefully Fire Emblem Warriors is also good. I'm not really in to ching chong history so Dynasty Warriors itself has no interesting fan-service for me.

It depends on which one you go with. In all of the empires you can play as a ruler, which means you control what your officers do on the map e.g. attack/defend a certain base, patrol an area(?), escort/guard other officers on the battlefield, fall back to recuperate etc. Morale plays a larger role in these games, so playing on the harder difficulties means you have to order your officers carefully.
6-8 Empires however have a "rpg" element to them in which you can control individual characters if your not a ruler, but then it turns into a regular musuo game.
I'd personally recommend 5 empires, due to the alignment system, researching technology/items in your areas actually help you and that strategies can fuck you up in battle. It also has some of the best costumes in the series, unlike the J-pop actors we get in the later games.

They will do one of these the moment people stop buying them

I heard Berserk Musou shit the bed. Hopefully 2 will be better ala Ken's Rage and One Piece.

Why fix something that isn't broken?
I love musous and I want to see more of them.
Don't like it don't play it mate.

But DW7 and 8 are pretty much straightforward evolution of 5 as if 6 never happened.

PreCure is shit. Shit.

...

...

I want to rub my dick on her armpits and midriff.

More musous is always good but the fuck is seiken? Google shows some random shit.

I remember getting hyped for Berserk since it had a eclipe game mode, but I looked at footage of it and it was literally just swarms of skeletons. The campaign is the same, you mostly fight skeletons and humans. If there are any demons or anything they have the same move set as the skeletons or humans. Also there are boss fights for some retarded reason.

Fuck.

The hardcore fanbase who buys every game, all the dlc, that sort, don't want it to change. They like it how it is, so it's very unlikely that it will change much anytime soon. It's not like there isn't Sengoku Basara and other stuff out there as options.

basara is garbage

I can't get over how fucking badly berserk musou sucked, what were they thinking?

Japs have two modes: Change nothing forever, or change everything in every sequel.

I'd sort of like to see a gun based Musou type game.

Warframe?

Musou is the anime of video games; same old shit, copy and pasted with ultimately irrelevant surface level differences, relying on a core audience that loves to consume the same shit and are willing to shill out a lot to be kept well fed on that same shit. They will never improve on it because that's how marketing entertainment in Japan seems to work; find your industries version of an "Otaku" and settle in to easy profit from a dumb audience.

That's a very strange and angry way to say "make the games your audience wants"

She never did porn did she?

probably not even a she

It's a very direct way of saying "they recycle garbage for garbage eating fags" actually.

No idea who she even is.

Maybe they should add in open world multiplayer survival crafting, maybe that'd be innovative enough for you.

...

They should focus on developing the innovation of not making the player fall asleep while playing first.

what a fag

I like Musous in part because KT knows exactly what they are and they don't try to crossover to new audiences very much. That's what ruins a lot of series. They tweak the formula and make improvements in nearly every iteration, they just don't fix what isn't broken.

Warframe is close, but layered in F2P bullshit. Earth Defense Force is probably better both as a Musou-like and on every level as a game.

No one cares because they don't play every single Musou game, they only play the Musou game for the franchise they like, then ignore the rest.

It's just the same game with a fresh coat of paint every time, but it's profitable because they get good franchises.
Zeldafags take the Hyrule Warriors, FEfags take the FE Warriors and they don't care about the other Musous.

If it wasn't a good plan by Koei Tecmo, they wouldn't keep doing it.

You just sound like an arrogant retarded faggot.

This. Even if it results in shit at times.

kys

Am I the only one that wants a Halo Musou featuring pic related?

not an arguement

Hyrule Warriors was polished enough, I'm looking forward to the FE one now if Nintendo assures a certain degree of that same polish. The One Piece games look decent too but I haven't gotten around to playing any of them yet. Anything else I've seen looks really fucking bland though like they throw quality control out the window unless the people they're partnering with keep them on a tight leash to not embarrass their product. The new Berserk one in particular looked incredibly boring, looking at the bad ones I can see why people hate this genre.

...

Did I say that 343 would be involved in the development process? Probably just have Joseph Staten on board to make sure that the game is in line with Arby's life before Halo 2. The game would be perfect to further explore the world of the Covenant. Halo needs more spin-off games for now before moving on with the inevitable Halo 6.
