first for kill all turks

i tried stellaris with the star trek mod
it's pretty fun
played as cardassia and i was doing a pretty decent job expanding, conquered bajor, trill, formed a coalition with orion and the gorm, assimilated the tholians into my civilization
i made the mistake of fighting with the ferengi though
first time i did it, they offered me white peace and i accepted since their federation allies had way more military power than i do, didn't know that at first
the second time was just after i had assimilated the tholians, and i figured that i'd have enough military power
but this time by the time my fleet reached the ferengi planets, i was out of credits and due to that my military power was cut nearly in half
a single ferengi fleet that i would have easily beaten before, now destroyed my entire fleet
then the united feds sent an army about 4 times as big as what mine used to be, and i immediately surrendered, giving them trill and some other minor shit
after that we started getting rebellions all over the place, and i still can't fix my economy
so now i'm gonna start all over again, this time i'm gonna get my economy and research going first so that i don't get outclassed by fucking ferengi
i just wish half the cardassians didn't look like niggers, while the other half are greyish-green instead of pinkish-purple

Everything went better than expected

Any good videos I can laze around and watch of people good at these kind of games?

Remember, with Ferengi you… kerplengi…

Glass the Ferengi; space war now!

La Plata

Your sacrifice will be remembered comrades

Im sorry but i wont be able to reach you in time, Vaterland will remember you

...

Know where I can find a place to download the TRP mod?

Can't find it fucking anywhere.

I haven't been on Holla Forums in a while. What the fuck is this meme?

So who's going to play Utopia?

Im not that autistic to look at nato counters all day

forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/mod-advertisements.659184/page-3#post-17923979

It's not a meme. It's just one kid with down syndrome posting that picture every thread.

Sounds like a meme to me

Reported.

Hells yeah.

What sways pops political ideologies in V2? I had 100% tariffs the whole time that's my guess. Although I can't find detailed explanation why I'm getting FUCKING jacobin rebels every few years.

Rebels in Vicky are fundamentally broken

Your envy is showing

Am I jealous of your down syndrome? Or am I jealous that your Argentinean? Either way I can assure you, I have enough handicaps as it is.

You are the only fown here, and you are envious of my whiteness

Forgot a bit
Half the country turned socialist.

So I read.

...

running on a new playthrough
this time i've got mining and research facilities everywhere possible
so far i've conquered the trill, the tholians and i took bajor but didn't bother with the rest of the bajoran systems since i wanted peace to try and make a defensive pact with the talarians. and the fucking niggers chose to join the bajoran defensive pact when i took bajor, so that was all for naught
right now i'm using the tholians to colonize all my shitty planets that cardassians can't survive on
i've probably got enough military power to wipe out the bajorans, but right now it's not worth the effort, removing all the pirate fleets is worth more

Yeah. La Plata is white and based

It looks alright for another meme playthrough, but Stellaris is just fundamentally broken at its core, which is built around managing pops but by the midgame you give everything to sectors to be auto-managed anyway.

Also its hilarious how Paradox insists on "balancing" everything nowadays. Build a ringworld and get half a planet more space for pops. Build a dyson sphere and get less energy than a ringworld would provide.

I understand that it is the "Age of Civil War," but I would prefer doing it with other daimyo.

Nigger, fuck you. Ming was objectively underpowered and they absolutely NEEDED that upcoming buff. ERE FTW lololol XDD

Are you fresh off the train from reddit?

So how much did the last EUIV DLC fuck up the game?

If you're referring to the institutions one - extensively.

I meant the Asia one, not the KANGZ DLC.

isn't it releasing tommorow?

Oh, i thought it was already out.

Well, for one you can expect the chinks to snowball even harder. Other than that the new ages mechanic seems to favor nations already covered by lucky and OP national ideas. Even easier colonies for Portugal, even smurfier space marines for France and Prussia and so on.

I also have this feeling how barrage fort and devastation are ultimately designed/stacked to fuck the player.

Pls no, Satan.

In all seriousness, I think the real question on everyone's minds is what kind of buff is kebab getting this time?

I hope that it will be a big one

At this point Paradox might as well just insert muslim Burch erotica as events now.

I'm not remotely exaggerating, and wait until you see the Polish troops. Or until it sinks in how the chink emperor gets on demand mana points, money, prestige and manpower from tributaries that don't even count towards diplomatic relations.

As for roaches they got surprisingly few straight up perks (and especially later on) but they're in a prime position to unlock the splendor requirements and "tech up" before anyone else.

What I'm actually concerned about is what they did to mercs, as in completely killed them for the player.

But Poland was already fairly stronk in EU4. Why buff it? Is it the polandball memes?

Because apparently they needed even more cavalry memes.

Well obviously. How else would cavalry defeat tanks? Oh wait, wrong time frame.

Supposedly it's actually getting nerfed now. It's coring cost bonus is nerfed from -33% to -20%.

The OP nation looks to be Manchu, who literally gets free troops for every province in its culture.

Forgot to mention: The free infantry also come with +10% discipline that stacks on top of all normal Manchu ideas.

I HOPE this is tied to Jurchen culture and not just the tag, right. Otherwise couldn't you just annex Ming, switch to their dominant culture and get an assload of troops?

...

Wellcome to the /gsg/

so when are we raiding 4chan /gsg/ again?

Never, i dont care about their shitposting general, let them live their lives and dont bring them here

Pretty sure Paradox said it was culture, which is kind of hilarious since it will be literally the only culture in the game with a special mechanic.

If it's culture though then that means anyone should be able to culture switch to Jurchen, which means Japan/Prussia could stack even more insane discipline. And it's pretty easy to reduce cultural conversion costs, you only need Religious and Influence which just happen to be two of the best idea groups anyway.

How about you go there and never come back?

I'll give it a shot. The vid they showed where they kinda go over the features made me somewhat hopeful. With Stellaris in its current state it's just a cheap clone of distant worlds so hopefuly with how they're tooling some of the race interactions (like giving certain rights to certain species) and just giving you some more interesting shit to look forward to it wont be so shit now.

kys

Because he doesnt want to participate in your cancerous "raid'?

THIS FUCKING GAME

Even with the expansion it won't still be the game it should have been at release, but I'll try it again. Stellaris was the first space blobbing game where I felt a planet not the homeworld felt it had some meaning.

alright, conquered all of the bajorans, vassalized and then integrated the kressarian league
talarians declared war on me, which you would think is retarded considering that they don't even have a space port, but at the time they were allied with the romulans and some other minor factions
romulan fleets are slightly less in numbers than mine, but their tech is better
romulans quickly sent fleets to blockade some of my planets, and they even managed to occupy one of my systems when they sent 60 fucking armies to it
first time i fought them i had a 4.4k fleet, mostly cruisers and 2 new battlecruisers
the romulan fleet was about 3k, all corvetes
i thought i'd win, but there were way too many corvetes, and we simply couldn't bring any of them down fast enough, meanwhile they were continuously pounding one of my cruisers, while the shields on the others were quickly going down, so i retreated since the loss of a cruiser is way worse than killing a few corvetes
while this is happening, i'm also making new ships on cardassia prime, battlecruisers and corvetes
for whatever reason the romulans left my space to do whatever they want, and i used that time to free my systems from occupation
some of the other factions tried to attack us while the romulans were away, but they simply couldn't stand up to my fleet
eventually the romulans came back with another 3k fleet, and i sent my fleet to attack them
at the time my fleet was around 5k
when i was close to them, i noticed that they had another 4k fleet suddenly appear near their other fleet, i clearly couldn't beat that
and at that moment the talarians offered me a white peace, i accepted, didn't feel like losing ships for a single planet
and after the war was over i continued colonizing shit
right now my fleet is at around 9k military power, i've got armies on most of my planets
i'm only matched in strength by the romulans, everyone else so far has a weaker military
hopefully i'll eventually take the talarian space

Is user still making VeF edits?

Is stellaris even worth pirating right now?

How much does it differ from the state year ago?

i'd say it's worth a pirate
the star trek mod is probably the best star trek mod/game i've played so far
the game itself is alright, on par with CK2, would be better if it had some of it's features like all the shit that made characters unique, not just slapping a name and face on them and giving them experience

It's definitely better than a year ago, but the core issues still remain (shit-tier AI and lack of mid and end game content). I haven't played the newest DLC yet, though, and they say it should add more depth to certain mechanics as well as add more of the content

yeehaw

tried to start a war with the ferengi
was going alright, but at one point the talarians and romulans declared war on me again, and by the time they reached my borders the ferengi and sheliak fleets started retaking their occupied lands, so i figured i'd give them a white peace
as usual the romulan fleet was on par with mine. they managed to reach cardassia prime and even destroyed its spaceport right before i got there
i only won because i managed to make a few additional battlecruisers from the other cardassian planets while the main fleet was fighting the romulan one
i was dumb and accidentally chose not to have any demands from the war with the talarians, so even though i won, i got nothing out of it
after this i went and conquered the breen homeworld
downside is that after that the ferengi joined into a coalition with the romulans, so now i'd have to be crazy to wage war with anyone
my only allies so far are the klingons, we have a defensive pact going, but i can't get them to join a coalition with me due to how far apart our empires are
to fix this, i'm probably gonna try and conquer the nausican planets, seeing as they aren't in any alliance with anyone
at this point, my fleet is the biggest on the map, somewhere around 15 military power. other factions are barely better than me in tech, but they all have weaker fleets, so i'm not particularly worried

I managed to implement most of the important stuff added by 3.3 (back to the version previous to RoM, 3.2.3 I believe), but due to poor organizational skills, all progress is lost.
Ended up with a stupid crash on load I can't seem to fix, and due to EU4 being a shit impractical mess of code, I can't find out what's actually making it crash; the error log is useless and in order to read the dump files I think I need some special program only paracucks devs have; ain't sucking anyone's balls.
I don't really keep track of the files I'm updating, so narrowing down the cause is gonna be a horribly menial task, even more than implementing the new code from 3.3.

TL;DR: Lost all progress due to poor organizational skills.

I'm doing a songhai playthrough and I'm wondering if it would be better to pick expansion or exploration. I plan to eventually conquer ethiopia and move up to egypt for KANGZ memes.

eu4 17.1

The French AI is fucking retarded, it depletes itself from all manpower in the first months of the war, because of mad recruiting or because of throwing soldiers at german forts
Its fucking broken

Just like real life then!

Stellaris is "balanced" for a reason, to give every Empire a chance to expand. That said, being xenophobic shouldn't fuck up your relations with other nations quite so bad.

Hell, the Imperium of Man was Fanatically Xenophobic, but they still dealt with Xeno's every now and again.

Stellaris really wouldn't be half bad if it weren't for sectors being nigh mandatory.

The imperium isnt on friendly terms with anyone.
They only deal with xenos on 3 instances, those being, the ordo malleus dealing with eldar harlequins, rogue traders being allowed to trade with minor xenos empires and the illuminati being allowed to enter the dark library.
So yeah, being a civilization that goes around purging all ayyyys should give you a huge penaliation when dealing with xenos.

New Stellaris DLC that let's you manage your population more strictly manageable. Looks like you can designate which ones get to live better or worse, even which are for combat and which you can eat. You can also build space stations for population and megastructures.
That being said, if the games combat is still shallow and shit then there is 0 point in playing the game.

Forgot my unrelated screenshot.

You add the fucking Illuminati which are slightly more than some random book bullshit but ignore the Tau and the freebooter "sanctioned" Orks? Bloody hell.

...

Oh hey, that pictures of the 3 PS3 guy.
Yeah I was playing the Free For All mod with the goal of marching my Tengri army from the East to the West so that I could sail across the ocean and found a Tengri new world. Getting through the HRE is a fucking nightmare because of all the forts, but I'm finally on the border of Spain, blocked by forts on either side of that mountain splitting spain and france.

The illuminati havent been taken out of cannon and have been mentioned in other sources, specially by the inquisition.
What dealings does the imperium have with the tau other that their truce in the damocles gulf crusade to go fend of the 'nids?
Those arent diplomatic relationships, that is random imperial agents giving orks something so they go fuck some shit up until they eventually backstab each other.

No user, Stellaris is at least four pips short in xenophobic to do 40k justice. You should think Star Wars Empire instead.

You say that like most of the Inquisition canon isn't Abnett cirklejerk or how they didn't retcon all kinds of cool shit like stunties, renegades, beastmen guardsmen and more.

Either way, it's garbage that if I wanted to a xenophobic, materialistic, militarist species, that I should always be like -100 in relations.

Xenophobic bigot modifier is only -20. Non stacking. So, that's around 200 minerals depending on their scarcity (and other circumstances obviously) to get enough positive reasons to sign the first treaty. And that's still ignoring the silly question of why would you want treaties with xeno filth being a xenophobic militarist?

Playing the Halo mod (The Great Journey II), it makes playing the Kig-yar kinda no fun.

I'm not a halofag, and that sounds like a mongolian appetizer to me, but you do realize that it takes only a text editor and a couple of moments to change that modifier? There's also how that modifier doesn't really apply in relation to enslaved, bought or otherwise subjugated races.

The real relationship stabs come when they have the opposing ethic or when you start purging, keeping slaves (of their race) or interfering with other ayys they consider in their influence. And all of those actually make sense.

I find it kinda fucked up that paradox added option to literally eat fucking pops

...

That's bad to hear. Your edits are the only thing making me come back to EU4

Strange, AI France usually wins against AI Germany in my games. The way I usually deafeat them is by bleeding their manpower, though, true, but I don't find that to be a problem. It's not difficult to run out of MP as almost any country in KS, so it's fair.

Agreed. It should be a small mallus, since you then get minus infinite relations when you decide to actually use the stuff xenophobic allows you to do and enslave/purge pops. Or give you a big mallus and mitigate the damage from these actions, as everyone kinda expect you to do it anyway.

The sectors thing being mandatory was literally to stop players from micromanaging too much. I haven't had much of a problem with them so far, only in that I had to take out a planet out of a sector when I wanted to do some purging, or when I wanted to terraform it.

I actually really like it. It's uncharacteristic of parajews to allow this sort of thing, and is perfectly applicable for, say, a Starship Troopers-esque hive mind of flesheating bugs.

There have been cannibal societies on Earth, why would aliens eating other aliens surprise you? I mean, it's a pretty common theme in sci-fi.

Its suprising that you can eat alliens but you cant old school genocide them, iirc there are only 3 options, eating, castrating and forced labor

Well looks like there's options for purging and birth control now.

I guess it's to de-incentivize the players to genocide their way through the galaxy by adding a disgusting theme to it. It would seem that most weren't exactly opposed to the idea of genociding everything in their way and giving 0 fucks about diplomacy, thus this was introduced.

Except it is a small malus unless they're xenophilic.

Both of those were in since forever, launch even. What Utopia adds is the option to set a per (slave)race rules.

that is untrue. You can still just purge them, as far as I know.

Im not sure i played it year ago so i might be wrong

There was an option to purge pops (as in directly murder them) since release.

Oh i trough that the 3 options mentioned before replaced this one option, never mind then ,my bad

Maybe I'm retarded but HPM wasn't updated since version 0.3.6.1 from last year, right?

They have their own pastebin pastebin.com/66gpxbKk

Yeah I don't think the VeF edits are gonna be done anytime soon. Didn't even get to experiment with the Caspian sea zone.
I'm gonna try modding again in about a week or two.

i just want them to make the leaders a little bit more unique
so far they just get a name, some generic face and experience
they occasionally get a trait or two which barely do anything
it's nowhere near the autism that i got from CK2

Not all societies would have significant individual leaders.

I bet it's going to be in one of the DLCs down the line.

At the very least, they could fix hereditary governments. I always get pissed when the successor of my aryan dude is an ugly sheboon

Distant worlds is better at that job, but the 40K mod is incomplete

Even then, two races meeting for the first time wouldn't know shit about each others cultures so how would they know that you're secretly Hitler?

I believe all your first contact interactions show some part of your ethos. The Ayy comes with "Let's hope we can live in harmony and mutual understanding" and your reply is "Heretics will burn, xeno scum!"

that's another thing that really annoys me
i essentially get threat/nazi1/nazi2 as options
they should have at least let me try and act duplicitive

How could a interstellar empire hide integral ideals of its society? Why would it even bother trying?

This user is correct. The communication is just symbolic/RP. You can't successfully hide the core ideals of your population and country unless you're a Jew.

Well, by the time youre going around genociding disgusting non-humans, it is implied that aliens do talk toeach other, so one of them hearing the autistic shrieks of your species while exterminating other species will get the word around.

Thats paradox beign lazy, i too hate that the conversations are so lazy and completely not how diplomacy would work.
Even the imperium of man atleast has diplomatsthat dont sperg out about all xenos needing to die when talking to xenos species.

There is nothing wrong with Turks

Agree, but there is a whole lot wrong with k*rds

This triggers me.
The only turks that should be spared of the removing is the people from taleworlds and anzu, with their respective families of course.

Killing almost 80 000 000 people just because of their ethnicity?

That would not be very nice would it?

...

What qualifies one as human?

Tell me of a single time turks werent absolutely fucking evil.
Its the closest we ever had in human history to mordor.

Sounds pretty based to me

Having a soul.

Thats some terrible bait fam.

turk detected

Kebab detected, hold still so I can remove you.

But all people have soul according to Christian theology

Jelly of my ubermensch Turanic genes?

Which is dumb because micromanagement is part of the fun for a lot of us. It should be an optional feature.

Being European.

>>>Holla Forums

...

So aside from giving Paradox money is Reapers Due for CK2 worth picking up? As far as I can tell it just adds more random shit to fucking kill you off as opposed to actual meaningful content but I could probably be wrong on that.

Personally I think it's a load of hot garbage but that's just me.

Haven't you heard, goy.
All of those refugees are European now.

It's fine, M&Ms is the meme DLC.

I actually haven't heard anything about M&M, does the societies and relics even do anything or is it just something for the player to toy with to make themselves feel busy?

Yes. Half the supposed features weren't yet in the release. Paradox really out did itself with this one. Though it enables crypto-Jews so there's that.

Depends if you want to stop playing from time to time to have to wait for a plague to be over. I don't see it as anything else than putting the game on standby, which is very annoying to me.

...

Is getting the HOI 3 collection for 15$ worth it or should I just pick up only the base game for 2$?

Yes goy, pay as much as possible so Paradox can keep producing quality games.

The whole thing or pirate it.

Albrecht macht frei. :^)

What are the most popular Stellaris mods? Like CK2 plus or HIP? I want to try Stellaris out again since I only played at launch and it was so barebones even the NatSoc in spess didn't make it fun. I'm not expecting something that will turn Stellaris into Distand Worlds, just something that gives it depth.

We need someone who bought the game to check the modlist on parashit forums.

stellaris.smods.ru

vickymod comes with a map mod but if you use that map mod with vicky the game crashes

who is behind this?

I don't like to keep things from Russian hackers on my computer.

Lmao you can't make this shit up. It used to be 9,99 few months back. Fucking kikes.

Inflation is a tough shit

I've been going full weeb recently and saw Sengoku was a thing. Normally not that into strategy games, but I'm willing to give it a shot for the setting.

Is it worth a try at least?

Playing as the Han in EU4 ET mod, and I keep losing the Mandate of Heaven upon ruler death. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't, and I have no idea why. It even happens when I have full +3 stability. Any help?

They might hack your V2 elections

Eh, it's okay, I guess. Dont expect too much from it

...

I give this mod 5 stars

First impressions from Utopia:
-someone on the dev team has a serious boner for WH40k
-factions finally look interesting
-traditions seem good so far
-ethics are better
-I seem to run into a lot more anomalies than before
-Parashitters STILL have fucking bugs in fucking tooltips

Overall pretty good so far, but I am only two hours in

heh i said the same about Stellaris initial release, but after 15 hours Ive run out of things to do

Sectors are shit, I'd rather just be able to auto-develop planets like how in Vicky 2 you can let capitalists build the factories.

Anyone got a link to the latest CK2 download?

Is the combat anything yet, or is it still two mutual blobs slapping their dicks together until one of them keels over, flaccid?

Reaper's due kills off excess characters that adds nothing to the game and pretty much makes ck2 playable after 400 years of gameplay.

Fuck, this is sounding interesting. Is there a place for a torrent? Not having much luck finding one.

You need to try harder.

CK2 2.4.5 (Horse Lords) was the last good version IMO. At some point after that, one of the rapefugee diversity hires at Paradox made the allied AI go full EU4 retard mode and now it just sits there masturbating furiously to Zuihou-chan or it walks into enemy stacks instead of just attaching to you like in the good old days. It makes crusades/jihads/tribes a bunch of bullshit, believe me, it's terrible. Very sad!

Trips of truth. I stayed on 2.4.5 for the longest time until I wanted to try out the council because I thought it'd be cool for vassal playthroughs.
It isn't.

Fun nation to play in V2? Tried playing Two Sicilies, formed Italy in 1858 could have done it sooner I just didn't sphere cores and immediately quit. Just lost complete interest.

i can play ck2 eu4 and darkest hour but i have no idea what im doing in vic2 my armys get instantly destroyed by terrain penalties

V2 is actually a piss easy game as are all the gsg games.
Important things to note. I'm a bit tire and it's hard for me to condense all this, I'm having trouble typing.
Never attack them on mountain regions, only defend, you can have a stack of 50 thousand vs 300 thousand and come out with minimal losses.
The longer their army is sieging a province, the more they dig in. Depending on what tech level Army Doctrine is, the more they can dig in. Say they have Point defense system tech, their dig in cap is 3. So when you attack them they get a +3 in defence that lasts for a month or so. If you're not confident your army can take them out, wait for them to move to another province and quickly attack before they dig in.
It's necessary to manually manage the generals, try to find generals with good stats.
Army composition is simple, for every infantry, I have a cannon. I'll have 10 INF and 10 cannons and a horse or two and an engineer for that siege bonus.
Having superior military tech is always nice. Research army leadership first as it reduces unit casualties and increases morale.
If all else fails, just throw a shit ton of men at them, that always works.
The combat system is really simple but still fun.

That's just an example, if you did that in early game your army would suffer attrition, you can make a stack like that later in the game when your medicine tech is better and your supply limit is higher. In the beginning don't overstack armies or you'll suffer attrition. That's how I do it, you can get away with any composition you fell is best. In the beginning I build regular cavalry as they have 1 reconnaissance which is what speeds up sieges, then when Hussars are invented I build them. If my advice went over your head, just watch a youtube video.

Anonymous (You) has a point

More Utopia impressions:
-might just be me, but there seem to be generally more planets in a system than before
-cursory glance at ascension perks reveals that they all fall into two cathegories: generic buffs (more naval capacity, bigger borders, etc.) and mechanic unlockers (allowing to build megastructures, space habitats, telepathy, etc.)
-traditions are "wait a shitload of time for this goodie" type of thing. You can theoretically unlock all of them, but the price scaling is pretty steep. Completing one tradition tree unlocks an ascension perk. The entire system seems to be essentially ripped off from Civ games.
-haven't got to any serious combat yet, but outside of combat, no noticeable bugs except the occassional retarded tooltip
-significantly more opportunities to have more core systems to micromanage. You usually have to sacrifice some other bonus in order to grow that limit, but growing it is possible, significantly more so than before
-pic related is faction screen. You start with no fations but as you get more pops with more ethics, the faction number grows. Factions have certain values and demands. Faction happiness directly determines pop happiness.
-More RPing autism for the leader. He can now be the head of a faction, and, aside from traits, also has an "agenda". I have no idea how that one works since there has been no in-game info about it whatsoever, but so far it seems like a generic buff.
-pops now cost mineral maintenance in an obvious attempt to make minerals less useless later on, but so far energy is still infinitely more important

You can play mp with pirated copy just fine, if that's your concern

I'm going to assume that you're playing with HIP.

HOLY FUCK

I replaced the entire soundtrack with death metal and now I'm playing so aggressively that it's killing millions. Send help.

Don't forget the Dutch. You get to annex Belgium and then murder all of SEA for fun.

Even jews aren't as greedy as paradox.

Hive-mind is comfy, missiles still suck and I'm still tempted to disable corvettes over the AI being retarded in their swarming. Starbases and fighters seem tankier.

What the fuck is a tributary in EU4? Can you annex them?

The eternal swede

What's the mod that gives you these portraits?

Also, is the Iron Sky mod good?

No idea. I just took apart HRS, lightened the default bodies and added some clothes and shit that felt appropriate. I do like IS admiral uniforms but they're damaged like they used mspaint to edit them

I'd say get human revolution if you're into quality and cyberpunk and optionally pick a couple of suits from better humans for that uniformed feel.

Is there a whites only option for human revolution? I'm not used to Stellaris modding, apologies.

The most important question. Cracked/torrent already?

Not as such but it's easy to edit them. Or just replace the nigger_body with a duplicate white if you're in a rush or something.

I don't like spoonfeeding but there's something gratifying about sharing paradox magnets magnet:?xt=urn:btih:ZCPNUA4WJ7M5Y53C772DRV6CICDQNC3E&dn=codex-stellaris.utopia&tr=udp%3A%2F

It's never spoonfeeding when it comes to aiding anons in pirating Paradox games. It as an act of goodness that makes God smile.

Can you do alternate history runs in DH?
Or does it force you into historical play?

It's the first fucking result on piratebay, don't be a lazy shit

to a degree. It allows certain divergence, but you will usually follow more or less the same path.

Is it possible to take over the world as any of the axis powers?

You can always try Kaiserreich

You should stop thinking in EU4/HOI4 way.

In vanilla? You can choose to do whatever, but the AI will almost always make historical choices.

you can take over the world as fucking Albania if you want to

I'd like to take over the world as Serbia

take over Yugoslavia, release Serbia, and play as them

What the fuck do I do with the council assholes in CK2? Am I suppose to fucking give in eventually and give the council more power? Somehow I haven't been this annoyed from the bullshit civil wars in another Paradox games as much as in this one. Winning and them and getting half the country in prison does fucking nothing.

It depends how much do you consider to be a alternate history

Give the council adequate power and they'll vote themselves into powerlessness in every other category.

i heard someone say at one point they were forced to accept one of two choices both of which ended the game for them

Yeah for example if you play as Denmark and get buttfucked by germany
There are some decisions like that for smaller nations but nothing for the big ones if i recall correctly

As long as you don't allow them any real power (holdings and such) they can go fuck themselves. Adding priests you invested, fellow cultists, regular pruning or installing loyalists in general is also recommended.

Make council full of loyalists and strip them off all power, worked for me

Alright i bought DH since its like 3 bucks on steam.
Should i play vanilla or use any mods?

Grand Campaign mod and Kaiserreich are good, imo.

Vanila is good for few first runs to get used to the game
Kaisarreich if you get borred with normal ww2 setting, maybe TRP? for some realism?

Started up vanilla and had an immediate panic attack
How do you git gud at this?

Memorize NATO counters or switch to sprites
Pick some non navy focused nation as if you dont have assburger you wont understand the differences between ships at first and also it will take off the burden of choosing doctrinal research for navy
You also have tech research, use it to research tech, pick tech teams that match the tech requirements

What else needs to be to be explained?

My only experience with GS comes from this video

Ok so you got IC = that means industral capacity, how much you can produce, you use it for producing stuff, upgrading divisions supplying them and producing goods, there is a little tick in the economy tree that will automatize everything for you and even you can prioritize your IC focuses

Ask specific questions so that i may answer them

How do i do war things? I want to add clay to my homeland.

Is it possible to avoid being the bad guy in ww2 as germany?

Why are production times so incredibly long?

What country do you play?
But usually in the diplomacy tab
I dont get what do you mean, you can not invade other countries of this is what you mean, you can stop right before poland and nothing will happen
I dont know you tell me, but in the 1940 you can research production lines that will shorten production time a little bit

So if you do war things from the diplomacy tab then why do you have troops on the map?
Do you not have to manage troops by yourself?

You declare war, you move your troops to occupy enemy territory on the map, if you capture all victory points/capital (check the star map mode, bottom right corner, it shows "victory points") you can anex them in diplomacy tab
You have to move armies manually, you can prioritize some divisions so that they get supplied/upgraded faster

Divisions have 2 stats, strength with symbolizes "hp" or number of men in division and organization with represents morale/supplies in division, if the first one runs out division dies if the second division cant fight effectively
Divisions have stats, at first only pay attention to organization, soft attack hard attack and softness

can i attack victory points with a daring paratrooper raid and take over countries in seconds?

Yes but if you dont supply your paratroopers with air supply from transport planes they will die of attrition, also paratroopers are great for precision strikes and sniping retreating armies or victory points but they are quite weak in normal combat especially if the are encircled
You can also do them to capture ports so your men dont have to die on beaches trying to capture defenses

Hungary is in a personal union under me. How am I doing?

It is a meme game where you can paint the whole world in your colour. It is not special. Stop blobing.

blob/disgust

Okay.

Im proud of you user

TAKE THAT YOU COMMUNIST FUCKS

...

Don't hate the player, hate the game.

Stellaris stuff:

- Being a fanatic purifier actually works now since you get huge bonuses that let you take on pretty much everyone even on Insane difficulty. You can get a total of +61% fire rate from civics and ethics if you allow a faction to shit you to full militarist.
- The faction system is good, but you pretty much need to know it ahead of time to avoid some of the hardcoded stuff. For me it looks like having a weak race meant that none of my pops wanted to stay Militarist which led to constant revolts.
- Ascension perks take forever to get unless you stay really really small. Or I'm just impatient, but either way I won by conquest before getting my 3rd.
- The only megastructures worth building are Habitats, which will give you a cool +80-90 to all research or +90 energy for only 130 influence + the minerals. Ringworlds are maybe OK, but you can only work on one at a time so its only giving you a 25-size planet every decade. Dyson spheres and science nexuses are kind of a joke at +400 energy and +50 to all research respectively. Unfortunately you need to research space fortresses to unlock this stuff which is bad because fortresses are so shit, but Habitats are good enough to need them. Everything else requires 3+ Ascension perks so you probably won't see them till its too late to matter. For habitats you really need to game the influence well, being democratic and fulfilling mandates is a good idea.
- Funny enough, if you invade a ringworld owned by a FE, you can make habitats around their ringworld sections (you can't around your ringworld). This leaves you with up to 25x4 normal worlds and 12x12 habitats for a possible 244 pops in one system.
- Only other Ascension perks i tested were the robotics ones. First one gives you +20% habitability (basically as good as super adaptable, not bad) along with +40 year lifespam, last one simply turns everyone into synths the instant you finish it and makes all your characters immortal. Pretty nice but it takes a long time to research the transformation. Funny enough if you have synth destruction on when you finish the research, the game will lock up for several minutes while it kills your entire race rather than transform them.
- Consumer Goods KILLS sectors horribly. Anything above Impoverished Conditions and you can basically expect your sectors to go into negative mineral income eventually even with it set to focus on minerals. Would probably kill the AI too if it was on normal. It's especially problematic once you get pops that are unhappy and stop doing good work yet still demand the goods. Only robots kept me afloat. Synths are probably not worth researching unless you want to transform your own race since they suffer both morale and consumer goods penalties.
- Prosperity + stacking -Building Cost is probably the best strat early game. -15% from civics + -15% from tradition + -15% from edicts means way faster development and private colony ships are dirt cheap to spam.

Reported.

What are the long-term consequences of accidentally insta-killing your entire race?

Well, as a Fanatic purifier I was locked into killing off other races policy wise. So every planet that was 100% my pops instantly became uncolonized and the ones that had other pops produces nothing and quickly died off themselves.

Theoretically I could have made synths manually but the policy was locked from letting me do so for a few more years.

So what percentage of your total population disappeared? I wonder what happened. Did everybody rush to become a synth when they weren't busy killing people who became synths?

The thing turns every pure-blooded pop of your race to synths instantly. As a Fanatical Purifier I was 90% pure with the rest being slaves who were used for food. With Synth destruction on every one of them disappeared instantly after the game locked up for several minutes.

kek

Were Mexicans white in the 17th century?

No, if anything they were more indian.

Other than the really high in influence, wealth, and power. They were white. Still is like that now actually.

Well my Mexican population has more than doubled in the past 10 years due to European immigrants assimilating so I guess I'll just pretend they're white. It's too bad there weren't any really good options for new world nations in the 1604 start date. Veracruz was the only one that didn't have actual indians as a primary culture aside from Brazil.

Pops are retarded in V2. It's also a shame you can't send them on a trail of tears or something, it would be more interesting and have a more natural population flow if you could have the option to try create a state with a certain ethnic makeup.

There were far more purebloods, so yes. The Mexican caste system only got thrown out because they ran out of peninsulares (Iberians; whites).

There has to be a mod that adds state focus options for 1. genocide of minorities and 2. “encouraging settlement”. That’s the best place to put those options, after all.

You can encourage immigration, which is effectively encouraging pops from others states to move to the one selected.

What does the New World look like?

I mean to encourage a specific type of pop (ethnosupremacy).

Is this better?

I can say with certain that less than 5% of your population is actually Dutch, so fuck off, you stupid fucking blob faggot.

I have the Germanic union modifier soooo…
Do I sense jealousy?

1. I don’t know what that means.
2. You write like a 12 year old girl on Tumblr.
3. You refuse to disprove my statement.
No, but that’s to be expected, since autists are incapable of correctly reading emotion.

Seems like you don't know how to play EU4 haha…

was the roman empire a blob? faggot

The Roman empire absolutely was a blob. They just conquered everything that could bring in revenue.

What the fuck do I do now?

Weep because Extended Timeline is very boring in the pre-1400s time periods.

Or destroy your empire with debt and instability and rebels and then tag switch. Then repeat the same process for the next thirteen hundred years.

Wait an odd 500 years until kebab becomes a thing, then remove kebab

Not that kind of blob. The Roman Empire's borders at least had some aesthetic, blobbing is just what you're doing.

Indochina or Japan.

Australia.

Mod?

Political map is pretty boring tbh. Culture map is where it's at.

...

The sad thing is that NATO symbols are toddler tier easy to memorize.

Fuck this shit tbh

Nothing out of the ordinary here.
Churchill said that if Hitler didn't begin the war they would force it.

That shit is broken. Got CTDs every 5 minutes after installed it, when never occured until them.

proof?

Here you go little nigglet
youtube.com/watch?v=_Db_5F7uxt4
Be advised that its 1 and a half hours long.

I'm impressed by the historical accuracy.

don't have this problem. have you tried reinstalling?

Also got some quotes which have sources in them
"Germany is getting too strong. We've got to smash her."
- Winston Churchill speaking during a private lunch in 1936.

Reminiscenses in 1961 of General Robert E. Wood.
source: World War II. By Carl J. Schneider, Dorothy Schneider. Page 15.

"I do not want suggestions as to how we can disable the economy and the machinery of war;
what I want are suggestions as to how we can roast the German refugees on their escape from Breslau."
- Winston Churchill
source: The Barnes Review, Volume 5. Page 30. 1999.

You must understand that this war is not against Hitler or National Socialism,
but against the strength of the German people, which is to be smashed once and for all,
regardless of whether it is in the hands of Hitler of a Jesuit priest."
Source: Winston Churchill: His Career in War and Peace, Pg. 45 Published in 1950

Nigga you'd best believe i've got more quotes

"I have only one purpose, the destruction of Hitler, and my life is much simplified thereby."

"To achieve the extirpation of Nazi tyranny there are no lengths of violence to which we will not go."
From the 1955 American version of the book Winston Churchill: The British Bulldog In War and Peace

This is literally the oldest Anglo tactic in the book. Maintain a continental balance of power.

Too bad it fucked them up and now they struggle to have sovereign control over their own borders.

Well the problem was he thought that the balance of power had to be kept between France and Germany when really the two strongest powers were Germany and the Soviet Union, both countries that Churchill virulently hated. I wonder what he would have done if he knew how easily France would fall.

fake, we fought hitler to save europe and stop the holocaust.

ecks dee

Here's a better one:

Queen Elisabeth II, 1932

Thanks

Fucking turbojews it was a conspiracy all along

Anglos wanting to destroy Germans wasn't a conspiracy at all. The reasons for that on the other hand might have been, if some notorious anti-Semites are to be believed.

What are you going to do about it Jerry? Rule Britannia today, Rule Britannia tomorrow, Rule Britannia forever!

mmmhyeah no

Slay all t*rks

Someone suggested that I conquer Japan, so I did kind of. Set up a bunch of tributaries and one vassal rump state. First is political map, second is diplomatic. How did I do?

I hear she has very aesthetic ankles.

Well, that's going to be awkward.

Alright so I got Bavaria to GP status in Victoria 2 after 10 years.
What now? I'd like to form SGF, but at some point Austria, Baden, and Wurttemburg dissolved their alliances with me, and no other GP will ally me.

Sufism is a hell of a drug.

Is there a mod for DH that speeds up the incredibly slow production times?
If America had produced this slow they would have lost the war

The production times are fine faggot, and historical too

How much does paradox pay you?

history will change

DH was not even created by paradox faggot

then why is it sold by paradox?

I going to try to play as Serbia in HPM, any tips guys?

Kill as many t*rks as you can.

convert to islam and turkify balkans

Pretty sure this event runs afoul of Swedish law concerning the defamation of religion. Not even joking.

I think I found out why Stellaris is so boring – it's not that there is nothing to do, it's that it's so fucking slow. Even at the fastest speed setting, a day takes about as long as a day in EU4 on medium speed.

we dont want to put too much pressure on mulitiplayer players do we :)

people actually play MP of Stellaris?

Well, most muslims would agree that Sufism is extra heretical and requires a cure in form of stout stoning.

So since the last screenshot, I divided Japan between two vassals and diplo annexed both. I also turned Kazakh into the fucking Huns 2.0, they seem to have annexed multiple countries while vassalizing plenty of others in eastern Europe. Which is nice, because they're my tributary. I wonder if they'll get in on the barbarian invasions? Hope so, that'd be sweet. I've also allied Parthia because they're the only non-tributary I can even see that's worth allying anymore.

What do you think?

I think you're a blob

r-rude

Yes, historical accuracy is an excuse. You know the Chinese would have done this if they could.

Literally any country on the world would conquer the world if it could

I'm not talking about WC, I'm talking about conquering Tibet, Xinxiang, Korea, Japan, etc. Very specific regions which the Chinese historically had it's eyes on, or at least militarily opposed.

China has more than just those in the pic, though

Thanks Paradox.

Really? What am I missing?

...

didn't mean to greentext

What I'm pissed about is that A: the two preset human civilizations are still linked by race so I'm essentially cockblocked to reenact my very own clan invasion of the inner sphere and B: the commonwealth has precisely one buggy event chain to it's name.

Also, projectile weapons are still way too good.

But the shitposting is intentional, right?

I didn't say that they owned Chuban, it's just that they probably would've conquered the piddly little Siberian tribes if they were in a position to.

Well, that's my point. If any country was in a position to conquer any neighbouring country (and not shit itself economically afterwards), it would do so. If Albania had all of Middle East and mainland Europe, it would probably try to take out Britain. That doesn't mean conquering Britain wouldn't be blobbing

It wouldn't exactly be possible, or make sense, for Albania to conquer Britain in any event. China expanding into south eastern Siberia isn't nearly as far fetched.

Spotted the Azeri t*rk trying to fancy himself a "Persian"

Bunch of fucking hyenas. This is not honorabu at all.

I think that you should stop playing with extended timeline, and stop blobing

/gsg/ pick a minor duchy for me to have a manichean playthrough in

Swabia

Start as a independent kike in Greece and don't surrender to ERE if you're such hot shit.

A Karluk former adventurer half-blind pope. Well then.

Or go as Zunbil count and do not ever convert away from Zun or go into muslim vassalship

If your pope is so wise, why did he lose his eye, huh?

Better than a random courtier lowborn pope.

That's an actually interesting pope, at least he's not some random fag with no background at all

Yes. Problem solved.
