Well, I'm guessing a six month estimate based on them already speeding up compared to how long it took for Estival Versus to be released in comparison to the PS4/Vita version (i.e. one year). Hopefully the success they enjoyed will help them decide for speeding up the porting process even more, while not screwing it up.

Funny you say that. One of the biggest complaints people have about Valkyrie Drive is that the cast is small compared to Senran. Meanwhile, I was saying the whole time that the smaller cast was a plus after watching some girls be all but forgotten in Estival.

Well things are left open for the cast to be expanded considering there's two other islands, hell they can even bring in the ones from the cancelled Siren game.

Do people actually play these games? I like life + hometown as much as the next guy but the gameplay always seemed shallow to the point of lunacy, even for a musou. I watched 20 minutes of gameplay for Peach Beach Splash, but it just looks like a musou with guns.

The 3D models didn't help, either, since all the girls are identical from the neck down while wearing the bikinis.

I am not so much for the removal of being able to pair up any two given girls as I am for each pairing having a unique moveset exclusive to them.

The 3DS games play more like a Beat 'em ups.
Personally, I think the boss battles are the better parts of the games, but small fries pad most of the levels, thus making you feel like they are musous.

There's some depth there which is nice. The versus games actually have a parry system with instant blocking that'll knock back enemies, and fighting bosses/other players you need to watch out for supers as they have invincibility. There's also jump cancel cancel guard where you jump cancel an attack and then cancel the pre jump frames into a block so you can fish for reversals. It's pretty casual overall though, the barrier to entry is super low and you'll never actually need to know any of the more in depth stuff. Not to say it's terrible, the attacks feel nice to hit but if you're looking to challenge yourself there are better games for that.

It's a weird implementation of a parry system. Seems to not have any invuln so sometimes you parry but get hit anyway. Window is absurdly large if your char has Enhanced Parry and instead of having parry frames when you press the button you have parry frames at the guard animation's startup, which means that if you hold guard when standing up you get a wakeup parry on whatever incoming attack with no timing involved even when you started pressing the button 2 seconds earlier.

It does work weirdly sometimes, and cetain attacks are impossible to parry without taking a hit anyways. I think it was an attempt to nerf it because of how easy it was to spam on Shinovi versus.

I'm curious, how'd you get motion sick from SK? I can understand with some games like GTA5 where the camera bobs up and down like you're on a boat or with a shooter like Perfect Dark on the N64 with a shit FoV/resolution, but not a beat em up.

Most of these rushed PC ports use XInput instead of DirectInput thanks to MS shilling the fuck out of it the way NVidia does its shaders and lighting. The result is that the only controllers that actually work without third party programs to do the job the dev should have is xbox controllers.

The DLC in question is a pack containing the boob "slider" (it's actually a bunch of presets between Mirai (completely flat, not Burst Mirai, that's Apples) and Zeppelins, which, to put in perspective, is the same distance from Cantaloupes (the default size for everyone that is not Mirai) as Cantaloupes are from Mirai), a set of missions and some new clothes.
To unlock the boob slider you have to complete the mini-campaign. It's been a while since I played it, so the details are iffy, but it goes kinda like this:

Because Deep Crimson is 3DS only, so it gets less exposure than the PC ported, Sony consoles Versus series.

Can't say I care for either of them myself. Kagura's spacial-tearing abilities are pretty fucking cool though at least. But Naraku feels like a discarded Hikage design that they decided to reuse as a new character. But Naraku certainly isn't flat. And Kagura is only flat while she's a child.

I gotta say, the final boss battle against True Kagura is pretty insane.

Can't be as hard as the Rin fight in SV, being forced to fight one of the fastest characters in the game with one of the slowest wasn't exactly their brightest move.

As far as I remember, Salami/Daidouji's seiyuu did work a bit on that, probably a better-known role of her was the older sister in Immoral Sisters.

I also kinda enjoyed that the girls in Vanguard Princess are all voiced by hentai seiyuu, for some reason. Hope they were able to work in more professional roles later on.

It would be a bit more difficult due to seiyuu using a pen name for hentai roles. Though there MUST be a database somewhere.

It wouldn't surprise me to find out they did. Like others have said, a ton of famous VAs have done hentai in their time, and not because it was early in their career and they had no choice. Off the top of my head, Norio Wakamoto voiced the big bad in the Taimanin Asagi anime (not sure if he was in the games), Kikuko Inoue has done plenty of hentai, and Hikaru Midorikawa, too.
