i honestly think that if destiny was on PC i might have enjoyed it more. a lot of the problems i had with destiny is that it required putting a party together through shit-ass console methods, and not being able to invite people to my friends list without having to autistically prune which permissions i'd have to give them so that they couldn't see certain parts of my profile that i don't want to share (since i'm a faggot and 99% of my friends list are people i personally know). also, paying a subscription fee for online is retarded and i can't speak for anyone else but it was definitely part of the reason i ditched it; i already bought the fuckin game and paying over time to play it is just not worth it for a game i only spun up every other weekend or so to dick around in with my buds. i might check out the second when it drops to a decent price, if only because the entire time i played the first i wished for a keyboard and mouse

Loot drops but no ability to trade the stuff. A giant hub area that serves absolutely zero goddamn purpose. No pvp inside the pve world, it's a whole separate game mode with different maps.

It took me 14 hours to play literally EVERYTHING it had to offer on launch and enough PVP to know I didn't want to play any more. And it only took that long because the bosses are bullet sponges with no easy/tricky way to damage them faster.

solid fps mechanics for console but aside from that, every class plays the fucking same except the shitty special power. some have the ability to triple jump and others can do a quick phase jump. thats all the differences between classes. weapons are retarded as in they dont differ that much only the legendary guns but they never differ in the sense that you and i will always have the same legendary guns with the same stats. missions are shit, main game only had like 28 missions and you could rush through all of em. final mission is really shitty. most bosses tend to be a larger version of a normal enemy. there are no stats other shield and health and you cannot allocate points or anything pretty barren. never played the dlc bullshit, only played the first 2 months and sold it to some mom for her kid for 50 on craigslist.

Destiny's only had one game and if Destiny 2 bombs, that might be the end of it. Even long running series like AC or Resident Evil have been fundamentally changed, almost to the point of unrecognizability. (Mostly with RE, at least.)

I bummed a copy off my bro when he was done with it. Shooting felt fucking great especially for an FPS on a gamepad. There was fuck all to do though and the few missions that were in there just felt like MMO grinding. You could also make a pretty cute female character for people that's important for, though it was all just presets. It also came out around when GG just started I played it a bunch while listening to videos, livestreams etc because it was brainless enough. I think Destiny could actually be a pretty cool game. However everything that has came out of Bungie since the game launched especially the staff has me highly doubtful.

You have decently sized maps but terribly made objectives that boil down to "kill these enemy waves", barely making use of the terrain or the maps. Then you have a decent and genuinely enjoyable movement system that is rarely needed in the game because every attack is hitscan and there isn't much platforming in the game. In addition to this none of the enemies actually pose much of a challenge except on really high levels where they take a lot more punishment and deal out too much damage(which is terrible design because it rewards playing broken shit like having an unlimited energy trinity make the team invincible for the entire run). This in turn also makes the movement and terrain worthless because enemies would die in a few hits and it becomes less about hit and run attacks and more about spamming whatever AoE "fuck everything in sight" power your frame has.
This in turn also makes a lot of weapons shit and bland since again, lots of enemies die in a few hits when specced correctly so what's the point of picking up a new weapon, from the perspective of enjoying the new weapon rather than from the perspective of needing mastery exp.
There's also the fact that the game is unbelievably buggy, but I'm skipping over that because my main argument that I want to focus on is how grossly out of shape Warfame is. Like I said, nothing feels like it fits together. What's the point of the parkour if the maps are tiny and can be traversed normally, and if it doesn't really have much use in combat since enemies are accurate and have hitscan?
But then again why would you need parkour and tactics if the enemies die in a few hits and don't display any strategy besides rush you from all directions?
But why would they if the objectives in the game all revolve around mindless wave assaults?
But what kind of objectives would you have if the whole shtick of the game is endless grinding?

Firing a gun isn't what's important in war, user. You need to be able to scale walls.
You need to be able to drag injured teammates.
You need to be combat-ready all thirty days of the month.
You need to not be biologically sympathized by males to the point of having other soldiers instinctively make risky decisions to try and save you (that last one is referring to a study, where male and female soldiers alike are more likely to run right into fire to rescue an injured female comrade compared to a male one).

There's a whole lot of basic, biological reasons that women should not be in most combat roles, barring guerilla warfare live-or-die scenarios.

I actually don't mind what type of characters are put into games. The problem stems from not making the situations plausible. Put female soldiers in games, but don't make them men with a female model. Instead, highlight the issues that are presented in such a situation.

Movies are able to portray Joan of Arc as a crazed woman wearing armor and brandishing a sword, acting as a symbol rather than a soldier. For some reason, there is difficultly portraying such characters in games. The only genre that seems to do it well enough are horror games.

Fucking this. This is the only thing the other user needed to say. Sure a women can hold a gun and can shoot it straight- but there's a shit ton more of stuff that a soldier needs to do while in combat. Also I'm not really sure if women are going to keep themselves together while out in the field when their leg gets blown off when they enlisted because they're cunts that just want to prove a (incorrect) point.

It's not even good sarcastic/snarky dialogue, it's just basic, bare-bones sarcastic remarks from a character whose solely defining trait is "is snarky". I like some sarcastic characters myself but only when actually developed with some actual wit and logic to the things they comment, not just this "how do I disagree/poorly remark something with stupid ass contrarian sentences" mentality tailored to the lowest of the low and full of generic normalfag speak. The only line that got a smirk out of me was that bit about the loot but only because of how self aware it is, not because the character is good or would say it in the context of the story.

Beyond that, it's just going to be more of the same, I highly doubt bungie would even bother on fixing the problems of the original and instead will just fill it to the brim with DLC, piss poor RNG loot drops, and next level ascended writing that is so good you can't even see it in the game, you'll have to go out of your way to read it in the form of generic logs on a website where nobody will give a shit.

Maybe they'll even waste a few more millions on Hollywood actors to phone in the VA.
