Class of heroes

So I want to play this series yes I am that user from the dwarf thread and I see it's on PSP. I plan on emulating it on PPSSPP, so what I want to know is should I play them all or is there one that's clearly better. Also I checked emuparadise and they don't seem to have roms of the game, so is there another place I can get them? I can if need be pull out my old PSP and try to get it working again, and if anons recommend should I CFW or try and get a legit copy. Also any translation fuckery I should know of?

We meet again, user.
Class of Heroes 1 is a bit rough around the edges, but you can still give it a go. If you end up not liking it I'd still recommend trying out Class of Heroes 2 since it's a lot more polished. Apparently the CoH series is one where every entry gets better than the last.

I think I have an eboot or something of CoH1, I'll check. If do have it I'll put it up on some filehosting service for you.

Class of Heroes 1 was translated by Atlus so it's mostly fine. Translation is a little dry but that's a good thing, means it's close to the source material. Class of Heroes 2 was translated by Gaijinworks (Vic Ireland's new company), so there is definitely some translation fuckery.

As for getting them started on PPSSPP, you're on your own. I've never used it before so I don't know if there are any issues.

thank you user and excuse my ignorance but how do I use the mega links?

You should be able to just copy/paste them into your browser.

Oh cool, thank you. any other /kemono/ games I should know about?

Well, the obvious ones are Tail Concerto and Solatorobo. If you're a fan of RPGs, then check out FEDA: The Emblem of Justice and the Shining Force games as they have kemono characters in them.

There's a honest to god avatarfag pushing furcancer ITT and yet the loathing I feel for your spoonbegging dumb ass is an order of magnitude larger. Congratu-fucking-lations.

I see the links in the share threads and always see people get called newfags for not knowing. I'd have to ask eventually user, so might as well be the thread where I don't have much face to lose.

How is the story ? is there any at all or i'ts just go dungeon kill stuff

Why do furries wear clothes? Won't it defeat the purpose of their fur?

largely dungeon crawling focused.

Class of Heroes 2 is essentially Class of Heroes 1 but better. The translation for Class of Heroes 1 is certainly miles better, but there isn't something especially wrong with Class of Heroes 2's.
If you want to try it, start with 2 and play 1 if you need more/want to see why 2 exists.

If you aren't using the client/don't have the association enabled, replace
with
and it'll work.

Reminds me, has anyone heard anything regarding Class of Heroes 3? Seems like it was announced for a western release YEARS ago.

They certainly are.

Why is there such a lack of dungeon crawlers on psp in english. I swear there is like 10 or so. Why didnt they translate more? whats the best DC on psp? on DS?

You make your own stories in your head.

There's a loose framework of a plot but for the most part you're going to be role-playing the characters in your head Etrian Odyssey style.
There's tons of room for it too with all the races, classes, and alignments. Let your autism shine.

This game doesn't fuck around.

I remember hearing that it was still being worked on and I think Vic wants to push for physical orders complete with some kind of goodie for preordering. Don't expect it to come out anytime soon though.

Early game people are expendable. If you want you can reroll stat points at character creation until you get a high number so they'll be better off. Max is 50 I think

Does it have a mural like x com to remember the dead?

Feel free to either reload a previous save or burn through rookie kids until they stop dying horribly. The game may look cute, but the monsters and traps don't mess around.

What's the furry level in this shit? Does it get any worse than what is posted in OP? That's about my maximum limit, and even that is only acceptable because my love of loli is so grand. Also how's the difficulty? I see people talking about permadeath in the beginning, but does that persist throughout the game, or is it only hard at first?

Seems pretty cool though. I like the crawlan, and I've loosely had my eye on this for quite some time.

Fuck this game.

No, the dwarfs are as furry as it gets, and you could make a party of only humans if you'd like. Regarding death see the comic . I imagine it gets easier to revive people as the game goes on but I've only just started playing.

Its kemono, you dumb nigger.

...

You seem mighty triggered over some innocuous terms, friendo.

It stays hard throughout the game since monsters start pulling AoE attacks or just completely ignore your front line to hit the priest/mages.

Rob is the type of hero we should all strive to be.

The difficulty is mostly front loaded. Early game characters won't do much damage, they'll die often, and you won't have any money to get them better gear but once you start making progress the difficulty shifts to navigating and avoiding traps with difficult combat restricted to tougher monsters and bosses.
You will always have to deal with the possibility of a high level character being killed permanently so the risk of being raped by RNG is there but from what I've played it gets easier as you go on. A well equipped party can rip and tear their way through most problems and if you're patient you can get students with high stats from the beginning.

I am convinced. I will download and begin to play this game when my new computer parts arrive in a few days and I can. My final question; Any racial-based class restrictions?

some classes are restricted to races, but there isn't any class that only one race can use.

scratch that, there are some race specific classes.

There are some. Some races can't use certain classes and I think each race has an exclusive class. Alignment and stats also determine who can do what.

Truly excellent, on all accounts. Racial class-restrictions make for a deeper and more rewarding game.

Thank you for accommodating my dumb questions, everyone.

Have fun

I have a question for you, why the sage?

More comics please

Guess I'll just post the rest then.

...

I wish they made short comics as tutorials for games

I wish cute anime girls gave me vidya

I'm about an hour in now, getting used to all the new terms and shit. So far it seems pretty decent, if in need of some QOL improvements.

I have a question though. What's this bar that slowly fills up as I turn in quests? It reached 100% about a quest or two ago, and I don't want to turn in any more until I can figure out what it does. I wish I had a manual.

I think you need it to do group attacks.

Thank God you don't just get an immediate game-over when everyone dies. I haven't saved once since starting the game.

That bar is used for group actions which can be offensive/defensive/supportive. The more you use those group actions, the more the affinity of your crew between each other will improve. I'd say it's worth looking into affinity and to keep in mind that even if it's low, you can raise it overtime. The fourth pic in also provides another reason why it's not something to ignore.

man, I can defend Working Designs in the 90s, but in current year it's ridiculous

Finally made it to level 4 average, and just barely started to acquire and upgrade my weapons. I was lucky enough to just so happen to have enough mats to synthesis some badass Baghnaks that I threw on my kunoichi after upgrading with ghost-killing ability. Shit's gonna be cash. It's a shame I sold my fire powder before I got the mini-tutorial explaining that it's used to imbue weapons with elemental effects, because punching ghosts to death with exploding fists sounds pretty metal.

Is there some sort of reason the Novice Hall is 9999999999999 maps, and you (seemingly) start on random floors? I can't figure out if there's any rhyme or reason to it. Whenever I go back to it from town, it just spits me out in one of, like, 6 different maps. It's weird.

That will be common in the beginning when nothing has been mapped out yet. The game randomizes the map every time you enter, but if you get a layout similar to what you had before then it will stay mapped out.

I'm getting these images from the manual which is free to download off of atlus's site, it has plenty of useful info.

Well thanks a lot OP, just added this damn game to my backlog.

You're from a dungeoneering school, go kill that demon thing that was an asshole, but you have to go these other dungeons to get there

Difficulty: Anal Rape with Metal Spike Rusty Dildo
You better get your stat rolls right the first time nub

Because the instructions are right in the OP and if you can't be bothered to even read the first the post before begging then you are a newfag and don't deserve anything.

honorary dorfs

Those look like japanese kobolds
What the fuck

They've got hair on their faces so it just works

Furshit get out of my board

Meant

Elf detected.

Every single fucking thread.

cool it user.

Fuck this game for making me like kemono girls. Seriously female dwarf is just way too cute. Shame all the male portraits in the game are garbage.

Am I being memed on? When does this shit class become useful? I found Coin in the novice hall, but that thing seems useless. 5-15 hp pool, and is frequently one-shot by enemies. I can only summon it twice too. Completely useless.

The class only has 2 learned skills, as well. One at level 7, and one at 90+. Please tell me this is a late-bloomer assraper juggernaut class.

Haven't messed with them too much, but from what I understand you can find certain tiles in labyrinths where your evoker can make a pact with a monster that is stronger than the shitty coins. The evoker is considered an mid/endgame class since you need contracts, otherwise it's useless. You can always switch classes if you think a party member is too useless for your current needs and then switch back to evoker once you know where the contracts are. If you stick with the evoker rather than switching classes, they also learn psychic spells but at a slower pace than a psychicer.

I actually just found Firefly, which seems marginally useful. My first cast of it provided one with 11 evade/defense, and 86 total hp. It's also actually swinging at fuckers, though I haven't had enough time with it yet to see if it'll be a credit to the team. Regardless, this instantly raises my Evoker's usefulness by 9999999 times.

Perhaps when I hit 7 and get the class skill (rasies ATK, DEF and HP of a summon), my evoker will finally come into their own and stop being the mascot character.

It's fucking weird, Gaijinworks has been a thing for, about, a decade give or take, and despite doing shit like publishing games for fucking sunsoft they still act like they're a fresh new, fucking unproven indie studio that has no money to even afford a decent singer, let alone voice acting for a fucking game. They can't even fucking match they shit they used to do back in the 90's and that's just sad.

Also since this is related, CoH 3 UMD dead in the water, vic couldn't get the jap UMD plant to print the game in time. Game is complete, however, and PS3 physical and PSP digital still an option.

well fug

at least I can get a copy for PS3

Cool, I can still emulate it.

When?

According to the guy, sometime after SN6, so basically after may.

I think everything's starting to come together for my ragtag group of rejects. I'm hitting party average level 7, skills are unlocking, and my magic repertoire is increasing. Armor/weapon drops are starting to infrequently happen as well, so my actual fighting power increases exponentially every so often. I even managed to beat a boss that caught me completely flat-footed, though my 3 backliners died.

Feels good man. Tomorrow I'll set out for the new area I unlocked earlier.

KemoColiseum

So, can you play as an all-human party?

Yes, although I wouldn't recommend that because you might miss out on some essential classes. Otherwise go for it.

You mean I can't beat the game by having 6 warriors?

It would be extremely painful.

I've had better first time experiences in roguelikes

Read the manual, it explains a lot of shit.

So I just got to the witches woods and I have two questions, why do I keep getting quests to go to places I can't? And why am I getting fucked so hard? Do I just need to grind or do I need to get better weapons or what?

Because you'll go there eventually
Get better gear. Equipment is more important than level in these games.
Have you been to either of the other academies yet? They both offer classes that aren't available to you at Crostini

No, I'm playing the second CoH, how do I do get there?

There are two exits to the beginner's brush, each to a different town and the areas past those towns lead to a different academy. One is magic focused, the other physical.
I don't want to give too much away so that's all you're getting. If the witch's woods is giving you trouble, maybe try going to a different area.

thank you user, that should be enough to get me moving, I didn't know there were multiple exits.

If you thumb through your map and see black pages, those are areas you haven't been to yet. Explore thoroughly

I can't believe there still isn't a translation for Feda 2 for psx, the first one is amazing.

Yeah. Working Designs they certainly aren't. While I don't like the…things they changed in the script of their games, if it wasn't for WD we would never played any gems like Lunar series. But Gaijin is really a pale shadow compared to them. It's very sad, even more when you know WD just got fucked because of Sony, as they were trying to localize a Goemon game for ps2 - memory is fuzzy, i think that was the game - and Sony just refused and that was the start of the end for them. Now they can barely bring stuff like SN 6 and that's just sad. Imagine how many other gems we would have gotten if it wasn't for fucking Sony…

I believe the sony thing actually had to do with Growlanser and SCEA not allowing them to sell Growlanser II and III separately like originally planned. In the end they had to bundle the two games together in order for SCEA to allow them to sell it and that pretty much killed them.

It's multiple things, really, and most of this is just stuff from wikipedia or straight from the guy on his shitty little forum. The downfall started around the start of the gamecube/ps2/xbox gen, WD wanted to publish the 4 arc the lad games separately, like the original japanese releases were, and sony, the jap publisher, didn't approve, forcing them to bundle them all together, That's also when bigger publishers apparently started really coming out of the woodwork and began snapping up all the games WD was interested in working in, combined with Goemon and Growlanser it all pretty much drained their resources to the point where they just couldn't continue and vic just shuttered the company. That's when he started Gaijinworks but i have no idea what they've been doing for the first few years, seems like it was just vic sitting on his ass, twiddling his thumbs until the random job offer came by, like when an ex hudson soft employee hired him to translate the Class of Heroes games.

Wait, no, now i remember, he was scalping WD shit on ebay for money, also in that time he started posting on Neogaf, mostly bragging about his collection and a dropping a few prototype screenshots of games, including one that had a cut lesbian joke the console publishers told them to take out, or something along those lines.

Sounds interesting, do you have those prototype screenshots somewhere?

Well it wasn't lesbian, but whatever, the fucking weird part is seeing neogaf not go into an autistic screech over shit like this

lol I can't believe he was going to put that in. Damnit Vic, I appreciate you bring us so many good games, but those changes to the script are cancer.

Alright so I made I to panini, and I took a quest from the bahamun girl there to capture a snake. Two questions, do I actually need to put it to sleep or something, and should I just come back to that quest if it keeps on wiping my party. I have about 3000 gold to spend as well, and my party is about level 7-8, so should I invest in armor, or just go to the witch's woods and ignore the snake and try to level up before I try and face it again?

Bump

Where is the porn?!

On exhentai

Wow what a fucking difference. You kemono faggots are just as bad as furries, people just don't realize it because your population hasn't grown enough to really start causing problems.

the only actual difference is that kemono is made by japs. that's it. game is still good though

this gon be good

the difference is that we aren't obnoxious faggots with fursonas, and most kemono is straight with fairly vanilla fetishes mixed in, rather than scat and diapers like many western furries like. Also the art style is better.

Where is the porn?

They're really just humans with animal-like features

Bump

stop bumping when there isn't anything to goddamn say you faggot
