ROB threads were OC… a long time ago now. They're harmless and they don't happen frequently. It stays around for the same reason LOL threads and 4am threads do. People enjoy them.
If lots of people started doing this, or they grew in popularity enough to be annoying, they'd get pushed to their own area (like Quests with /tg/).

You are going to be disappointed if you're expecting an overhaul. There's no evident graphical overhaul, or mechanic change. Splatoon 2 is somewhere in between an expansion and a sequel.

Then again, that's just speaking about the mutliplayer game. The full-game experience may yet prove to be something worth talking about.

That's what happens when you're on an image board website where both Holla Forums and Holla Forums are neck-in-neck as the most active boards. There's no secret that there are a bunch of users who bounce back and forth between.
