Last thread just died without even a single proper/non early access game

Games created around bunkering yourself?

Any RTS that lets you turtle.

is that stonghold? wish it had bigger maps..

Does evil genius count?

the entire tower defense genre

Perimeter is heavily focused on defense.

Everything just flickers black for a few seconds on launch before crashing. Anyone ever had this issue and fixed it?

I just had a problem with a game. Tried everything to fix it. Searched everywhere for a solution. Nothing. Reinstalled it clean and it worked fine. Consider it.

Ive done that 5+ times now. I don't get it, it was working fine, then crashed, and now won't start. I've tried every fix I can find.

STRONGHOLD CRUSADER, HUH
>For hilarious reasons, I remember seeing those spike traps as a kiddo and yet to this day have never been able to find sauce. Likely do the the aforementioned having been a kid of an unremembered number of years.

W O W

Thanks Holla Forums

Bit of a follow up,

Should I buy it on steam or GOG it. I usually buy all my shit on steam but thanks to all the internet hypersensitivity and companies now aligning politically I have no idea if I'll get randomly banned for no reason and lose all my shit. Maybe I'm paranoid. I probably am.

Either way should I GOG or steam it? Both the same price. I don't use GOG very much, but I like the fact that everything is DRM free.

just fucking gog it then at least then you "own" it

I'd check on reddit if I were you.

StarCraft 2 as terran

Wrong door. Cuckchan is that way.

there's a pretty popular one now made by Valve

Hey, whatever works for you good buddy. Say hi to hiroshima-tan from me and make sure the door doesn't hit your cancerous, flea ridden carcass on your way out.

Also some game recs:
-Toy Soldiers (WW1 tower defense but you can control individual towers and a few vehicles some on maps)
-DEFCON (Nuke your enemies while attempting to shoot down enemy nukes)
-Prison Architect (More of a management game, you build and mange your own prison. As opposed to most games where you have to keep the enemies from getting in, in PA you have to try to keep the enemies from getting out)

Sanctum, fps tower defense hybrid

Fallout 4 settler defense was pretty gud

Gays of Empires
Gays of Mythology

The settlement system could have actually been really good had they put effort into it.

Nope, the first game

Total Annihilation usually plays out with creating your base and setting up a defense strong enough that it takes care of itself during all the enemy attack waves, so you can focus on offense and attack the enemy base.

Its bretty fun so far, 1C is such a underrated dev/publisher

Have some latest GoG version of it

Oh, my glorious dolphin porn virus got blocked

I got blocked in a coupla more too, just google setup_perimeter_2.1.0.13 and get the fucking magnet

Try making your text font smaller (100%) in control panel maybe. It worked for me when I was having resolution issues

Fuck the wolf

Yep, after enjoying a lovely FFA game against 6 opponents in crusader, I went and bought Stronghold 1, too.

I was always a fan of Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance because it let you turtle to hell and just out-nuke your enemies to win. Nothing like an amphibious factory with treads and 4 battleship cannons on it. (Fatboy)
A favorite of mine was the Mavor, which was an artillery piece with no max range. Being that unlike nukes there's no artillery defence other than conventional shield bubbles, even one of these can win the game for you if you play assassination.

If you bought it through GPG before they died, you also got a free steam key for it. You can still play the non-steam version just find though.

Why did you think anyone would fall for that anyway?

You should have brain issues

defense system effectively fucking cheesed

Hangman's Alley was even worse. You can place one outpost and a piece of steel or two and be completely fine. On one side it even limited the location where people can even get to your barricade to two places, one of which starts out locked.

You just made me think about it. Someone needs to make a tower defense game called USA Simulator or something where you build a wall and defenses to defend your country from waves of hombres.

A wall is pointless if you don't have archers

There's an ARMA 3 map for that.

It can be used just to funnel enemies in a way to skill them super fast with melee. But that only works if you can actually funnel them and not just concentrate them together.

in a way to kill* them super fast

Any WW2 game that lets you play as France.

Modern age taco-infused spics have ways to surpass a wall, that shit is pretty pointless

Dominus was a DOS era Dungeon Keeper style game, only set on land. You use a combo of traps, magic and hired/summoned mooks to repel invasions. Been a while since I played it, but it had a pretty cool reagent system for spells.
