if you just want to beat the game and then stop playing, then hunt U10 on floor 32 and COEN on floor 34 juuust a little bit, to make Pork chopper+, Cleaver Saber A, and Power Stomper set. then BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF THE MUSHROOM to beat gunkayama.
hunting Jin Die needs way too many mushrooms. and she's overall too much of an investment to be worth it. you can also try hunting Goto 9 on floor 36, by using the elevator to Hiromatsu (F37) you can reach Goto 9 on floor 36 without fighting a single enemy. just remember how Goto 9 works, take some crushroom, gambleshroom, or evershroom and throw it at him as soon as he goes into aura mode.

its not that good, but if you don't have any better Premium decals, its good to put it in there. remember to try and not use normal decals on your defense fighters, specially not rare decals (like super long tail) because the moment they get captured, they're gone
same for Electrosheep. can you believe the cleaver saber is SO overpowered, that they created a decal specifically to null the paralyze effect of the R1 move? there is no other weapon in the game that causes the "electrified" status effect (brief 1 second paralysis).
literally the only other 2 ways in the game to get the status effect Electrosheep makes you immune against, are either to eat/get hit by a Shockshroom, OR touching the electrical borders at the top of the train wagon during the Max Sharp fight.

if you're going to pull that retard logic, pretty much all videogames are a waste of time.
I can see Electrosheep being practical on your active Fighter, but not so much on your AI defense. It's generally better to stun them with an Iron block than the Saber step. Then again, some raiders don't know that.

if an enemy doesn't have electrosheep, you can literally backstep stab them to death. just keep mashing R1. you can even kill jackals early doing this.
what floors are you digging through? Kawabe usually has some. or you could try and go to Shina-yama (F35) its a map where nothing but wood spawns, all 5 tiers from veneer to mahogany, its a gamble but its possible.
I love the game, but it's not for everyone. There's a lot to explain, but I suggest watching various gameplay videos to get the basic idea. It's a dungeon-crawling beat-em-up with RPG-style progression, disposable gear, and replaceable characters.
Other players can raid your base while you're offline or exploring the tower, and steal some of your coins and SPL, but not your items. Also, all the money sitting in your reward box is completely safe until you choose to take it out.
One important thing: Do not listen to e-celebs about this game. They have a terrible understanding of it and may mislead you into playing it wrong, especially the boss fights.

that's pretty much 90% of the peoples first reaction. but yeah, its pretty good. it takes a bit of gittin gud so most players instantly cry pay2win when they reach floor 11+ and get 2 shot by machetes and have to spend 60+ death metals to revive because they're wearing ragged armors dropped by enemies instead of decent shit bought from hitler and can't be bothered to learn how to play im looking at you SuperBunnyFaggot
every 10 floors (after each Don) you reach a new area, where enemies will have new equipment and be significantly stronger. there's a steep jump in difficulty after each area which usually requires quite a bit of grinding and getting used to.
you can 2 things with real money in this game.
one is buying the express pass, gives you extra daily gifts (mostly skill decals) and voids the cost of invading and elevators.
the other is death metals, which can be used to revive on-the-go whenever you die, to cancel waiting periods of upgrades, to exchange for coins (not worth it) and to increase your storage chest size. you want to do this last thing.
bad things:
losing your internet connection outside of the waiting room equals death. its the most bullshit fucking thing and it has cost me up to 1 million killcoins in character recoveries and buying back decals & equipment because my ISP is a piece of shit. i've lost my connection on floor fucking 39 multiple times and it costs 250,000 coins to retrieve up there (i couldn't afford to go kill it because all those RARE MATS™ on its inventory were worth MORE than 250k) and also lost it twice after selecting an invasion target, which means instant loss so your character gets stripped naked of all items and decals.
the loading screens. there's a loading screen for everything, talking to an NPC, buying things, upgrading things, selling things, taking things out of your storage, putting things in your storage, taking an elevator, taking an escalator. it gets pretty jarring, but it can be made less horrible if your ISP is good and constant, in the sense that doesn't get cut randomly and has a good speed.
you can just read the wiki to know which Crowley's area map spawns only wood.
oh yeah, also, very occasionally, F16 Kaga (the map of jin die v2) has 1 rosewood. Kaga is another map where only wood spawns, but its mostly Veneer and MDF, with the rare exception of one of the spawns being a rosewood

through golden animals, try killing or eating a golden animal to get huge chunks of exp, golden frog gives you about 1500 exp, while golden Bird (the highest tier of animal) gives up to 20k, and golden snail (the most commonly found golden animal in the map Okusa F13) gives 4300 each.

Delta patching is a technique that allows large files to be patched by only downloading the difference between files and splicing the difference in to the larger file, without having to download the new version of the large file all over again.
So say your game's data is stored in one massive 10GB .wad and you release a patch that changes a couple of lines. You have to download that whole 10GB .wad all over again. With delta patching, you would download the code difference, say 512kb, and then it would splice that change in to the larger file.
This technique requires a different file setup though, so I'm not sure if the PS4 has it or would even be capable of it for backwards compatibility reasons, but Valve pushed out updates years ago that changed how Steam worked and managed files to enable it.

the only thing that bothers me about the OST is that its chock full of incredible songs, none of which can be played for ambient in the tower, example: when a hater sees you, when the jackals appear, set it up as standard for a level. or make a playlist that plays one song on loop every time you enter a new map.
the "ambient" themes of each area are on the radio, so why can't we put the rest of the radio music ON the tower maps? sadly, most of the OST you will only be able to listen to by staying quiet in the arcade constantly changing songs on the radio. that or youtube.

any armor that you fancy visually, generally anything that needs black metals to craft is good for crowley's area, however, do not waste MILK black metals in armor, save the MILK blacks for weapons like Pitch machine, cleaver saber, and motor psycho.
if your armor has about 800 total defense at max durability, you'll be fine for most of crowley's

i think they did remove them, sorry user but those raids were too OP, the rewards were fucking massive and the NPC defenders were kinda weak in comparison. if people spent their shrooms and equipment into defeating 5 weak guys then zergrushing the banks in the next room, then no one would ever bother invading other players because simple cost-benefit relation. the dev raids would always give aproximately 25k coins and lithium, who in their sane mind leaves their waiting room when they have that much stuff to lose?
most likely because their gear is random and +0. so instead of 5 guys with full Hades Knight +4 and Hornet Sabers +4, you find guys with hades knight +0 and random bad weapons that are easy to counter like the spirit lance). the difference between a tier 3 armor at +0 and +4 is MASSIVE, about 1000 defense from the chest piece alone

There's an Easter event going on. Basically, the devs have scattered these egg-shrooms all over the dungeon. You have a chance of finding one where any regular mushroom would spawn.

I'd say it's worth a try just for the crazy ass aesthetics and suda51 goodness. The sound by Yamaoka also helps. You can get to about the 20th floor without grinding, but after that it's gonna get nasty.

Those pellets don't all stay at headheight. They fly downwards too, and they still don't damage you.
That's good to know, but I wouldn't trust the shotgun much, since it often misfires at point blank.

Well its regular attacks are slow and wonky for starters. I guess it can be used as a boss killer for those vulnerable to blunt damage, but still, the only good option vs human enemies is correctly timing the DIESEL SHORYUKEN. Rage attack doesn't deal that much damage, certainly not enough to one shot armored screamers.
oh yeah i forgot to mention, Rage move only consumes 1 bar

Anyone see this yet? Finally got some info on the big April update. The new jackal-like enemies are coming (at least one of them, with some nice weapons), a bunch of new decals, and fourth upgrade ranks for weapons/armor. Also shows the new knight armor and how the event will work.
