2Butthole
9Shota
2Ass
4U

Also, welcome to the void.

40 hours and I'm done with pretty much everything. Considering a new very hard mode playthrough now.

Doesn't Denouvo have a clause where they'll remove it from the base game if it gets cracked within a certain time period. I remember it happening to Doom.

Is this legit?

I finished the game a few weeks ago, since I had imported the Japanese PS4 release.

It's great, but now that I've finished Zelda I'm stuck trying to find a game to play before Persona 5 comes out. Don't want to start Yakuza 0 either, since that's probably gonna take me WAY too long.

Ending E was a trip.

seems legeet

I just got to the part where enemy levels jump from 10 to 32. What's up with that? Am i supposed to grind now?

2B OR NOT 2B?

Do more of the main quest and you'll level up naturally.

...

I don't remember any huge level jumps. If you're talking about the circular desert room you should just come back to that later. It's just a farming spot.

If you want, go to the desert where you first encounter Adam and Eve and you'll find infinite respawning enemies around level 38. I was here grinding for upgrade parts on my first playthrough and made it to level 48 because I wanted to get a level 4 spear. It took forever but I found at level 40+ the rest of the first ending is extremely easy. Don't worry too much about being a high level, it's not too hard.

What does their face look like after ending E?

I got ending B at around four in the morning, then stayed up until noon after seeing the trailer to get ending C
I really enjoyed this game
There are so many things I want to discuss, but fucking spoilers man.

DO YOU THINK GAMES ARE JUST SILLY LITTLE THINGS?

I did the same thing. I marathoned the whole thing after ending B.

Shady as fuck, another template page.
Even have crack for not released game:
cpy-crack.com/routine-download-full-version-pc-game-crack-cpy-updated/

Why is the game so damn expensive, does it justify the $60 USD, if i didn't live in Turdistan.. life is so unfair.

I don't care what it is, I have to play it most of the way through before I buy it. I only bought Turok 2 after I played it and MGS5 after 8 hours of the 15 I played.

It not working on high end machines also goes to show you isn't not worth $60 because they need to have it working at full price to justify a purchase.

Pirate when it's done, and you can bet it will be cracked because so many people were talking and are still talking about it.

I need to play the whole thing over again because I was pretty sleep deprived by the end.
Imagine getting hacked by 9S so that it gives you the visual artifacts and fucks with the sound while you hadn't slept in 24 hours. It was fucking great

I just typed like reddit and I thought I was pressing enter because my post was stout so I made nice paragraphs. Sorry.

reddit spacing is a meme, nobody cares, only autistic shitposters

I think it does but I absolutely loved it. I can't speak for you though.

...

Is it currently possible to do anything with the apologetic robots?

No. They're a repeat of the troll doors from Drakengard.

I just got finished killing a Goliath boss which was like level 5, and now there's a huge crater in the city and the cannon fodder enemies are all over level 30 and harder than the big boss i just fought. I'm level 14.

...

IS THE FUCKING GAME PATCHED YET

Aside from the fullscreen resolution bug and dogshit AA performance is there anything else wrong with the port? I ran though 40 hours of it without a hitch.

i had aa on 2x and didn't notice any performance drops.

I CAN'T FUCKING PLAY IT ON MY R9 290X DUE TO A CRASH AFTER THE FIRST BOSS

FUCKING NVIDIA SHILLS DEFENDING THIS DOGSHIT SECOND HAND PORT

I was getting rather large fps drops in the ruined city even at 2x on a 970. But I was also running it in hacked borderless windowed to work around the fullscreen bug, so that might have been causing some problems.

Didn't they suggest rolling back your drivers to the previous version to work around that particular crash?

...

same 970 and borderless gaming. the most i got was a minor drop for a second and that rarely happens but that's it.

shit mean to reply to

Damn it I want that 2B Asss crack so bad

I hadn't updated my drivers for a while so it was fine when I played it. I didn't get the white screen problems that other AMD users reported. However the game still crashed after the first boss cutscene and would get a black screen when trying to change graphics options.

The game is practically unplayable for AMD users and nobody is trying to fix this.

...

I got AMD and I'm running it fine, I think the game crashes if you're using the 17 version drivers, try downgrade it to 16.1.1 for example.
And always run in windowed mode.

see>>12193457

What card do you have?

With the whole game being about androids I honestly expected more Accord fuckery in Automata.

RX 480 from what I've heard it's the one having the most problems running the game.
I guess it's just one of those "Works on my machine" ports.

Spoiler alert: open only if you completed route C.

That's what you get for buying AMD

23 hours, but spent a lot of time mucking about, running around and not really achieving anything.

I want to send more photos of cute things to 6O.

I think it's all going to end in a big timeloop. The Emil clones are going to get infected by the red eye and invade the Drakengard universe, becoming the Watchers, which will allow the androids to send Accord to that world which will allow Caim to come back and fight the G. Queen.

I have over 100 hours clocked in the game now (80 in my original save that I sacrificed, 20something in my new save) and I only realised now that the pod is firing when you're in the flying suits, so changing the pod changes the projectile you shoot to the beam or rockets.

I have a wish that there's some DLC later down the line where you play as Devola and Popola somewhere and you have to fight off a bunch of machines on your way to some android camp then you get berated and abused when you get there because although you saved the camp you fucked up some minor thing so everyone takes that chance to belittle you. My pre-release wish for 2B to die early on (she died half way-ish but whatever) came true so I'm hopeful.

A2 > 2B

A2 with long hair > 2B > A2 with short hair > 9S

I have to run it at PS4 resolution to not get fps drops on my gtx780. There are way better looking games that run a lot better on my PC. The game is not very well optimized. That aside the white screen crash can be a bitch, but they seem to be mostly in certain areas. So can play for long hours without experiencing them. Still a bitch, though.

Devola and Popola did nothing wrong. Except the ones in Nier's hometown, of course.

Do androids get married and make baby androids?

A2 with long hair ≈ 2B with mask removed.

I want to kiss 2B

I'm gonna repost this here since it went down under in that "censored" thread.

>Eve in Ending A comes off as a spoiled child throwing a tantrum following Adam's death
>Cue Route C and you see 9S going through the exact same thing

Also, did the Commander let 9S go after he learned that the humans were no more because she trusted him to keep his mouth shut, or did she expect 2B to finish the job after he returns to Earth?

On the second spoiler, I have no idea why she let him go, but he's had many chances to back up his data before encountering 2B again, so that can't be the reason.

Now that you say it, maybe she let him go because she expected the backdoor to kick in and reset the whole operation anyway?

I dunno how much of her reaction during the backdoor event is sincere, but that could be a reason. She IS part of YoRHa command, so she was supposed to know about this.

Poor Pascal.

>teach the kids what fear is so they know when to run from danger
>they kill themselves instead
>beg to have your memory wiped or straight up killed
>you can choose to do neither

That was legit one of the hardest choices I made in a video game in a while.

fuck those devpolas in particular

She knows about most of it but there is one note that she didnt have rights to access but i've forgotten what was even in it.

I chose to wipe. It seemed the most reasonable and humane choice - as that kept Pascal's peaceful personality. Of course, hearing him talk of his fellow villagers as "junk" was tough, but it's better than both him dying and living on with horrible PTSD. He'll get himself more machines disconnected from the network eventually. Especially now that the machine lifeform consciousness (?) fucked off in the Ark.

if you wipe him he goes back to his village and starts selling machine parts and children cores, it's pretty depressing.

Eve and 9S's rage isnt the same thing at all.

Off-topic thing I noticed:
A2 is effectively just 2B after she takes her memories onboard she goes from not talking, killing robot babbies to cutting her hair, talking non stop, letting non-threat robots live. and i've not really seen anyone talking about it.

>Eve loses Adam and consequently his mind before going on a homicidal rampage against all androids
>9S loses 2B and comsequently his mind before going on a homicidal rampage against all machines and A2

I chose neither, I thought that killing one of the, if not the only, machine lifeform then capable of pacifism and the understanding of complex human emotion and philosophy was potentially catatrophic for the machine lifeforms to ever know peace or evolution
On the other hand, wiping Pascal's memory essentially doomed him to repeating the same mistakes of the past. If he ever tried to establish another town with peaceful machines, then he would eventually teach the machines the concept of fear again, resulting in the same tragedy.
Choosing neither was easily the most cruel, and I could feel the guilt all the way to my pores in doing so, especially when not knowing what the result would be, but I believe that if Pascal were to pull through the heartbreak and agony then he would grow as a result and learn from his mistakes. But it still wasn't easy.

What if Squeenix had forced this game to have tacked on shit multiplayer?
How would Yoko Taro have sabotaged it?

About Pascal
You guys realize why the children killed themselves right? It wasn't because of what Pascal taught them, but what he didn't teach them.
He taught them fear but never taught them about hope. So because he never taught them about hope, they ended up killing themselves because they gave into despair

Speaking of multiplayer, I still don't know what "bodies infected" and "infected bodies subdued" means. I assume that "bodies uploaded" is transferring your consciousness after death, but I have no idea.

porn of the opera boss when?

I'd like to imagine some dark souls style invasion except the invader gets to spawn in as a buffed up machine and it locks down an area making an impromptu mini boss fight.

Or while connected online during a teleport you can be synced to another players world and both players get a message from the commander telling you to kill a defector.

Oh Right.

Can we just talk about how there is a 10% chance that FFXV world and Nier might be connected?

and i'm not talking about how Noctis' engine blade is in the game

If you leave your corpse for long enough it gets infected and fights you.

You saying FFXV and Drakengard/Nier gods are the same?

There is a couple of possibilities
One being that Star Scourge and Red Eye apparently act the same way and do the same thing

I never cared about pascal because he is just part of the loop of trying and failing human behaviors that the machines go through and didn't really get attached, because he will be back doing the exact same thing and failing the same way in no time. Granted you only know that after you beat the game, but I didn't like him before that because he called out of the blue a few times which I found suspect, I never trusted him.

I didn't think about that, I saw it like Pascal taught them the concept and existence of fear but not its function or purpose, that being self-preservation. What you said makes a lot of sense.

I think he was more intelligent then most of those who were part of the network.

I'm 40 hours in and on my second playthrough now (fresh start/no chapter select), planning to do all the sidequests that I can and when I'm finally finished with all characters read up on secrets online. Also not playing on very hard because FUCK dying in one hit. Also shmup sequences are just annoying cancer

I totally forgot he disconnected from the network, damn I'm retarded.

He was the closest to a human as you could get without being human, he would have learned from his mistakes if his soul was strong enough to handle the misery

I also really, really liked his design. How come he even looks so unique and personalized? Train signal lights for eyes, a body that looks like a steam boiler, makeshift hydraulic limbs - it's like he never was part of the machine network to begin with.

as far as I can tell he modified himself.

I was like 3 shotting all the bosses at the end of route C because I was overlevelled. I really should've waited to do side quests and shit until after the story because that was disappointing as fuck.

I want an extra mode that enables level scaling or a way to delevel. Shit.

Yeah, a chip that disables xp gain would be great

The constant switching between A2 and 9S got a bit nauseating, yes.

Beat the game and you can change your level at will, both yours and enemies'.

but seriously porn of the opera boss when

Vore is inevitable.

Except not. Red eye makes you into a salt monster, the Star Scourge makes you into a Amano monster.

Well, no, salt results from refusing the contract. Legion is white, but it is unknown whether they are made of salt or not.

Ending D or E?

Lewds only get made of 2B because she became a meme character. I like 2B but fuck I want more A2 and Commander.

Ending C.

So through the debug menu?

archive.is/6cmG5
gist.github.com/drdaxxy/77b1ff884ecba47dc705768999e6e01d
I don't even know which screenshot is which

This is certainly good news, but also something that could have been (possibly) more easily dealt with if Nips knew the benefits of FUCKING GRAPHICAL OPTIONS or even an .ini for the fuckign settings for people who don't own a NASA PC

Came into the thread pretty much to say this. Overleveling is a real issue with this game, even with a good 5-6 quests to do, by the end of 2B's route, I was 7 levels over her final boss. I'm getting flashbacks of Dragon's Dogma where you spend more time going from point A to B than playing the actual mission.
I would say a equipable item that acts as a XP bank might be the better solution so you can use it later on to suck it all up if you feel like maxing your character (from I glimpsed, there's a particular challenge that's better tackled with a fully decked out character). Good luck getting P* to do post-launch support though.

Well played, Moon Man. Well played.

Side note, I've got the means for a couple of "precocious endings", is it possible to trigger them and then continue from the last save point?

yes or no?

There's debug option that locks your level at least.

...

Where?

This also apparently happens to other players' bodies as well.
I was fighting Operator 210 and repaired a random body to help, and it turned on me.
I thought it was fucking awesome in the context of the fight

I'm pretty disappointed that you didn't get to fight Adam and Eve again at the tower

the soundtrack was top tier though, everything worked perfectly

SHIT, SQUARE ENIX!

And the means of production are named Marx and Engels.

If you've gotten the 5 main endings then just use chapter select to trigger them

Speaking of, in Ending D, do Adam and Eve actually still live or is 9S just hallucinating from blood loss? I mean, if Adam still had a version of himself backed up in the network after 2B 'killed' him, then there'd be no reason for Eve to freak out afterwards.

SHIT, SQUARE ENIX!

Yup. And I think Pascal might be a commie too judging by what he said he was teaching those kids.

I've only just got to the castle with 9S. It's gonna take a while…

Incidentally, his part has some really interesting moments. The wise machines in particular; that shit was deep.

Based on what I understand, either they're still alive or the machine network brought them back somehow
tbh, since Eve is a massive brocon, he'd freak out over anyone hurting Adam, plus it doesn't seem he has the full view that the machine network does

Anyone know if you have to have all the weapons maxed out to unlock the first fight with Emil

This was something that bothered me as well. Most people seem to assume that 9S's version of events are correct and that the tower is actually an ark and Adam and Eve are on it but this could just be the logic virus' doing. And its never stated that A2's version of the tower being a giant cannon to destroy the last remaining repository of human knowledge isn't the truth. After all the commander did state that there even though humans were extinct that there was in fact a server with human genetic information somewhere on the surface of the moon. I figured that it was going to be more timeline wankery and Accord would show up again in the true ending, but that never happened.

The one by his house? No. For that you just need to talk to him to unlock his door, steal his mask, talk to him, go back and hack open his locked chest, then he'll fight you.

I'm almost level 70 and hacking does no damage. Guess I need to grind the bunny.

We'll probably never get a satisfactory yes or no on that
At least until square enix decides to sideline Taro and pump out sequels since it sold well

All the bosses are named after social philosophers. I'm assuming this is a reference to the march of technology obliterating much of our classical thinking and way of life and a concurrent theme to the machines' attempts to copy different aspects of human society as a way to combat nihilism.

Is Drakengard 3 worth buying? I played Drakengard on PS2 when I was a kid, and I finally got around to playing Nier when I heard Automata was coming out, but all I know about 3 is stuff my coworker has told me.

One of the recurring themes throughout the entire game was the question of whether or not machines and androids have souls or could experience an afterlife such that a machine mourning a machine or an android mourning an android would even make sense. If you view 9s' ending in light of that, it seems more like commonly reported near death experiences. He sees people that he knew in life, in this case they were enemies, but because they were moving on to another plane of existence, they are no longer bound to the divisions and hatreds that they felt in life. I interpreted this as possibly being an indication that the machines and androids might have developed something like a soul. Also, the moon has been used as a symbol for the land of the dead in certain cultures, and this symbolism would make sense in light of mankind gong extinct and the construction of the narrative that they had gone to the moon and were waiting to return to earth. Of course it is ambiguous, probably intentionally, whether it was the logic virus, hallucination, whether the ark thing was an account of real events, or whether it was an indication of what I have written above.

Not even just the bosses. The stubby with the bucket that tried to "revive" his brother by pouring oil on him is Friedrich

I liked it despite its flaws, though mostly for the story and how it fleshes out the universe. Be prepared for tedious gameplay even by mosou standards and a glacial framerate.

I honestly wouldn't mind some character story DLC like with what we got in Drakengard 3.

Is the DLC of Nier worth playing?

Do you just fire the shitty file in the .exe directory?

Also that Tales of Sperg has some kind of launcher thing for the game.

ok i just got a weird ass glitch ok. i was in the forest kingdom castle in the castle the game froze and then slowly turned to black and a cutsecne played with this girl stabing the king which was a machine in a basket but there was no audio and when the scene was over i had to fight her but 2b and 9s's head were fucked up and not attached to their necks and hanging on their backs

It gives costumes so yes :^)

It alleviates a some of the grind if you're going for a 100% run. Other than that its just cosmetics and a couple weapons.

Meant for .

Caim A2 costume when

SHIT, SQUARE ENIX

Why are both of the Emil fights such garbage?

Is the second fight garbage? I was hoping it would be good.

Emil's moves are cool as fuck, Initial D drifting and doing burnouts.

It's Hegel but they turned up the stats.

SHIT, SQUARE ENIX!

:^)

Pic related you murderer. Also does anyone think there is any connection with that boss and adam and eve? Its just something that jumped at me after the whole emphasis of eve loving his brother and i was thinking that there has to be something there but ime too narrow minded to cone up with something.

Isn't that supposed to be the super secret hidden boss?
I haven't fought him but found that area and it's littered with more bodies than the Nameless King's boss room.

You have to come back after he tells you that bandits broke in.

Youmu sure looks mature in this game.

Hey. HEY.
Where is the soundtrack. Hey, I'm talking to you. Give it to me, the soundtrack. I need the music. Now.

Dude, fuck you. A2 swung by herself at the end of the cutscene, I couldn't do shit. I was talking to a friend on TS at the same time, we were playing parallel playthroughs, and he had the exact same experience.

If you can deal with one giant .mp3:

mega.nz/#!Hxlz1LIZ!Kw3k_VN-HWnfef3ZMrgMSnHsN7W6YLrMEjSH0BCvFJ8

Otherwise you have to wait until the 29th.

...

So does this use denuvo on PC or no? I have an SSD so I'm wary

>shitloads of hints indicating machine lifeforms are related to Watchers
>Resistance run by Accord
>Get to Ark and see monochrome, cathedral-themed architecture and lose it
I spent all game thinking that when I got to the final endings I'd get some mind blowing revelation, and instead I got BULLSHIT. Good game overall once I came to terms with the fact that the story really was a stand alone one like he said.

Yes. Denouvo has many problems but the excessive SSD read/write was debunked or more likely just quietly patched out. I have it on my SSD and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary on drive activity so I think you'll be fine.

Can someone download it in a virtual machine? It might be a nice RPGmaker game or the like

Just install it and launch the game. After that close the game and change the FAR.ini file in the game's directory to a multiple of 16 (lower the better performance) and relaunch. I'm already getting 20fps more than before.

It's been added to the FAR fix mentioned, which you can download from github.com/Kaldaien/FAR/releases

Played it, got to the credits.

Saw Kira Buckland did the English Voice of 2B.

I don't think I can replay this game any more. I played with Jap voices but knowing that Runka-Chunka got a lead in a AAA game has upset me enough to consider this game trash tier.

It's a thread derail technique.

>Not just shooting them

I'd always assumed that since 2B is basically a newer version of A2, they have similar personalities. 2B's memory data even says right out that A2 and her are the same. It's also said that A2's analytical skills and whatnot were used with other androids. I think that the difference was what they both went through. A2 being betrayed by command, and 2B trapped in the repeating cycle of killing the one she loves made them both grow differently. They're both good, deep down. This is why it's non-canonical for A2 to kill Pascal outright, and why she even aids/becomes friends with Pascal and his village later on.

Also please take pictures of 2B and A2 Wearing Adam's glasses. You can find them in route C, on the roof of the building where you first descend (you have to climb that building again later to get to the flight units to fight the golem-class machines that attack the city). It's on the table that Adam and Eve used to sit at. Gotta climb the ladder to get up to the very rooftop

I posted this last thread, I'll get 2B, hold on.

My heart goes out to all of the brave souls who sacrificed themselves to help me get through that hell. I'm not yet ready, but when the time comes I will throw my data into the ether and save someone.

It's A2 you african american

...

Is the Denuvo for this cracked?

shit i don't want to spam the thread but i can only upload one at a time

...

Android don't have holes to stick your moonman dick into.

Thanks. I keep trying myself to take some good ones.

i can build one

I wish you could combine accessories so you could have long hair A2 with glasses and such. emil head with glasses could be memey

Yeah. Also disappointed that some accessories can only work with some characters. Can't have A2 with a visor either.

What retailer is selling this shit the cheapest? Cheapest I've seen so far was on GMG.

???

Kinguin

...

>Not addressing the real mystery.
The Meat Box and God Box data is destroyed, and we will never know what was in them.

Do sidequests.

What the difference between infected and corrupted? I've encountered neither.

NEVER EVER

Too bad it's far too late to use it by the time most get it.

Post webm nigger or fuck off.

Don't hack him, just physical. Overleveling will make the fight too easy.

REEEEEEEEEEEE FUCK SQUARE

On Pascal's female VA's and male pronouns.
The Nip VA is extremely qt. My hypothesis is that Pascal, in his attempt to study past human society, discovered imageboards and decided to change his voice unit in an attempt to become the little girl.
I'd fug trap Pascal, if only to hear the moans.

Was it ever explained why the Empire symbol was on Eve's chest when he went berserk?
That's fucking bothering me beyond everything else.

No, just a reference

fuck

That's fucking gay.

Damn why does 9S suck? I mean I know he's a scanner and not a battle model or whatever but wew trying to actually fight with him is terrible. Am I really gonna have to play asteroid every five seconds to fight? I will because the game is fun, but I thought it was gonna be like playing 2B with only one weapon and no heavy attack.

I didn't have a problem using him, but I stuck to small swords because I thought his combos were too slow with everything else. That and I shit out DPS with pod attacks.

wew

His combos don't chain at all, I can't flow from attack to attack.

It's not that it isn't fun, but I feel the novelty will wear off quick. Also wrecking shit up as toobie was more fun and expedient.

max out one of the spears and start going to town

Remote control hacking is pretty fun. Gotta be stealthier than Snake though.
For his actual combat, I felt dodge-cancel string is the most flow he'll get.

...

I've been having fun throwing spears and spamming pod attacks, but yeah, he sucks shit.

See if the official square enix store for your region has it cheaper.

Ni3r has evolved moose vs moosedroids

Noct shares both his English and Japanese voice actor with Eve, and there's the stuff with red eyes and Magitek troops. But it might just be Yoko Taro sending us on one of those trolling sidequests he likes to do, except this time in real life.

>yfw you realize you're sacrificing your data for nothing just like YoRHa

The machines, or the aliens who made them, are probably connected to the Watchers. That would explain why most of them look like Emil when other body styles would be much more efficient.

>yfw you realize your data can help more than one person before being permanently destroyed.
>yfw you realize this means it only requires a few dummy data to kick start it, before it becomes completely sustainable.

You get the same boost if you fail enough times offline.

Webm? I swear this didn't work for somebody, and they were forced to connect to the internet. Or is it like other players corpses? When my shitty internet disconnects, there are still many corpses of players left throughout the world even after teleporting, just no new ones are generated. The player data for the final credits scene could be preloaded just the same at a certain point, just in case people like me have shitty connections.

Yeah, I figured as much.

Another question: What mechanic or weapon from Automata would you like to see imported to other games? Seeing the combat bracers made me wish Raiden could have them and CQC the fuck out of everything. Come to think of it, why didn't Raiden have a gun Cypher following him around everywhere?

The speed boost from sprinting for a bit. I'm actually really disappointed we never got a plug chip that made it faster, though.

Modder has figured out a way to almost double the performance of NieR: Automata

dsogaming.com/news/modder-has-figured-out-a-way-to-almost-double-the-performance-of-nier-automata/

is this old news?

2B has the best walk animation.

SHIT, SQUARE ENIX

She's porn enough

SHIT, SQUARE ENIX

Yes, but the post with the links in this thread has been deleted for some reason.

Does anyone else feel like Ending E was just a rushed cop out by Yoko so he could fulfill his promise that the game would have a happy ending? Because I was expecting E to be a massive reveal or twist about the world that C and D were ramping into but then it just goes straight to the final gimmick event and then it's just "everyone lived happily ever after, the end"

...

Yes and no. I feel that we got enough information to finish the stories of the characters. Although I was hoping for more background information on the overarching Drakengard/Nier plot like some info on Accord beyond a passing mention by a shopkeeper.

>tfw I was on my way to play with the children

I'm pretty sure the movement speed chips made it faster, it's just harder to notice speed increments when you're already going fast. Speed salves also make it faster.

SHIT, SQUARE ENIX!

Yeah they do. But I was hoping for something like the speed booster from Super Metroid that just increases the upper limit to its boost.

It still somewhat fits with the story. If androids and robots can rebel against their programming, it would make sense for pods to do the same.

LA LA LA LA

Actually being able to play the entire game unarmed + the completely unarmed having much different animations/attacks than the fist weapons.

I thought ending E was great. It's completely NOT what we expected, and Taro is just good at giving us what we didn't expect. Taro was like "it'll have a happy ending" and everyone was denying it. So he completely upended that expectation of a bad ending

But it's not happily forever after

The machine network restarts in a hundred years and the war begins anew. Game is set in the year 11945, The story from the Emil Heads weapons has dates from 12422-12423 in which he says that the machines reconstructed their network. And that he met 2B again but can't remember her

*a few hundred years. Not just 1 hundred.

Well the game does tell you that things will likely repeat themselves over and over again at the end

At least 2B is still alive in 12422, and it might be that 9S no longer is, as the weapon story only mentions her.
I'm okay with this.

Just got Ending E last night, what a fucking ride. Game hasn't made me feel those feels in a long time. If the gameplay wasn't so tedious near the end it would be a 10/10 for sure.

Can't fap to 2B anymore feels wrong

>not even delicious brown Anemone after reading her history with A2.

superior kraut magic

How many times do you think 2B has had to kill 9S before the game even begins?

Has the game been cracked yet?

You know what I would have really wanted?

Greater variety for whenever you're hacking shit as 9S. It's not like they couldn't have known - A2 has special stages when you hack her, but most other enemies don't.

* for A2 when you fight her in the Tower, I mean.

u wot m80?

Check out the guns in the resistance camp

i just got to the part were i saw emil for the first time and i heard he has a shop. when does he sell and where is his shop?

I can't remember exactly WHEN he sets it up (as soon as you save him and he runs away from you, I think) but he's usually in the city area. You'll see his icon on the map. He chooses 1 of 3 areas and roams around there. His wares are dependent on which area he's in.

Emperor's bones, I don't remember the last time a character has been an infinite source of boner fuel like 2B.

After the Forest King section and you talk to Pascal again. He first spawns over by the desert in the ruined city, then drives around

He sells pretty much everything depending on where he is
He's basically necessary for 100%ing your weapons

No you don't

The question is:
IS IT CRACKED YET?

No.

Th-thank you for playing.
I've never been so happy to hear that cheesy line.

Don't forget to repeatedly talk to him. He has two sets of items in each of the three routes. They're chosen randomly each time you speak to him.

I want to crack 2B's cute butthole open

I'm playing Nier right now. I have all the boss statues except for one slot, and was told you would not have access to the aerie after a certain boss fight. I was also told you need to max all the weapons in the game to get the final ending. I need four eagle eggs, and this gamefaqs.com/boards/960449-nier/55368765 says they take about 20 mins each. I have been farming this spot in the Aerie for two hours without a single eagle egg. Is this really worth it, or should I just watch the game online? I'm not going to play this if I can't finish it. The RNG for truly 100%ing Automata was already enough for me to give up getting the final two units and last three fish.

I'm pretty sure you just need to get all the weapons for the ending, not upgrade them.

...

sounds like the start of this

Yeah, but that's the 'normal' version. The one in that video's sounding a lot more distorted.

Oh thank god.

Looks like it starts in the second half of the fight.

The leveling balance in this game was easily the biggest sin, it was far too easy to punch way above your weight via chip plugins

SHIT, SQUARE ENIX

Does the PS4 version play at 60FPS or no?

Sometimes. A lot of drops to 40s and 50s.

I don't pay attention to it much when playing, so either it doesn't, or I never noticed anything significant. I did occasionally run into blurry textures that didn't load quickly enough.

...

...

Why are boars the biggest piece of bullshit to grace this game?

...

I feel like there was enough for 9S but I was expecting more for 2B and A2, A2 in particular just shows up and slips into being edgy 2B with no explanation of where she's been, not much on what she plans to do, not much on how she's handling having 2B's memories, she felt more like a vehicle for the plot than a fleshed out character. I feel like we know way less about her than we could have given the amount of time spent playing as her.

A moose was the first thing that killed me in the game.

Only on PS4 pro! I think you can disable it on PC, maybe.

You saw your first moose and tried to ride it until it decided to headbutt you to death, didn't you? I fell for that meme too.

Can you boar drift in this game? I've completed it, and ridden mooses and boars a lot, but haven't figured out how to drift.

Actually I knew I had to lay bait for it. I was trying to kill moose so I could get beast hide for upgrades.

I really agree that A2 is underutilized. As well as the Commander. I was also expecting a lot more interaction between her and 2B especially after they drop the information that A2 is basically prototype 2B

Her backstory isn't presented outright, but Anenome gives it to you in readable format. Details what happens, and why she thinks Command betrayed the Yorha androids. It also doubles as Anenome's backstory. While Anenome has been able to move on, A2 is suffering from survivor's guilt and takes out her rage on the machines. She's just been senselessly killing machines on her own since then.

Yes. Hold accelerate (the dodge button) while turning.

I just walked up behind one at the beginning of the game and it kicked my shit in so hard I went flying across the map.

Anyone have a good method for farming pure water?

There's no good method afaik. Same as Natural Rubber. Save at the Flooded City access point, check all the Flooded City's gathering points. If none, reload. If any, save and then reload (or teleport away and then back) to reset the area.

Why is there no good lewds of 2B in battle armor

I just took that as game teaching that non-machines don't red-eye evade tell

Any reliable torrent of the full uncracked steam version?

near a tomato is a shit game lol XD
2b is just a robot GUIS

...

can we discuss how fucking hot A2 is?

Natural rubber can be bought late game. I believe from the park robot.

I seriously hope you found Adam's glasses from the final chapter.

That's true. Though that's after ending C, I believe.

Speaking of late game materials. The inventor machine starts selling Meteorites as well.

Hips don't lie. I think both 2B and A2 are incredibly hot, but A2 is severely underrated.

...

size of the moon
holy shit

I didn't have much trouble when dodging bullets in hacking.

But those orange hazard boxes? FUCK those. Fuck those right up the android ass.

Maybe it's the orange box that has a hotbox that reaches out 20 feet. That box, in the Soul Box, that has the entire wall covered with them can go fuck it's self.

Yeah, you get damaged if you touch them. But when it comes to them, "touching" means, "within the general vicinity".

ONE JOB

ONE

FUCKING

JOB

Soul box can get fucked

...

...

...

Shame the t-shirt is fucking Gildan

Ending E? Don't read the spoilers if you haven't seen it: It's actually really happy. 2B, A2, and 9S are rebuilt and restored with their memories. The war is over. Yorha is done. The android resistance still exists. The machines' main consciousness and network are gone. There's a hint that the cycle will be repeated, and things will relapse but the pod says that there is hope. There's always hope that it'll be different.

The thing is that that ending is not "happily ever after". That peace only lasts a few centuries. The remaining machines reconstruct a network, and the war begins anew. However this time there's no Yorha. There's no cycle between android and machine that force each other to evolve constantly. 2B, at the very least, is still alive. I'd like to assume 9S and A2 are as well. Some Emil copies are alive and continuously making copies to fight off the machines.

When you lower the difficulty, hacking enemies have less health and many hazards are removed.
Especially the soul box room with orange hazards all in the middle.
When you set it to very hard, you get kicked out of hacking space in one hit.
Has anyone tested whether or not this effects the final hacking sequence? If it does, doing it solo may just be possible on easy.

I guess I'll test it when I get there.

That's about as close as you'll get to a "happy" ending

>There's no YoRHa
How can you be sure? YoRHa was originally started by commander androids, who believed the world was still worth fighting for and that androids still deserved a purpose even with humanity gone, to improve morale in fight against the machines, before it was co-opted by the machine network when proto-YoRHa was nearly wiped out. A new version of it could easily be made with 2B, 9S, and A2 as the leaders, now that they believe the world is worth fighting for. Since the war still rages hundreds of years later, they obviously haven't won. They can't carry the weight of the world alone and Jackass is bound to respread word that the humans are extinct, thus causing many androids to again lose morale. We'd then be back at square one what began the YoRHa project in the first place.

Huh, yeah, that could be true. But there's always hope that things could be different.

These factors are what lead the pods to believe history will likely repeat itself, not despite the fact that the three androids still have all their memories, but because they have those memories.

There is of course, still hope. But you know this is Yoko Taro we're talking about.

God dammit user, I want to believe that's what happened, but so much gets lost in translation or important details are not discovered by players that I don't think that's correct

>You will never know what dark secrets are hidden within the Meat Box and God Box.

You know what I'd really like if they do a DLC?
You play as 2B before the events of the main game where she keeps having to kill 9S over and over and over and over and over, each time destroying his memories of her.
A2's story would be nice too, but I think it's unlikely. Most of her backstory was detailed in a text adventure, and her beliefs about machines when you first take control of her imply that she didn't learn much of interest between being abandoned by YoRHa and gaining 2B's memories.

What if The machines start their version of YorHa instead, they have their arc shot up into space, with Adam and Eve's consciousness in there as well as the rest of the network that was still connected, and as we know from the archives, the machines and the andriods are literally made from the same stuff anyway, who's to say that 2B, 9S, and A2 won't become Machine Yorha's version of Adam and Eve, ei extremly powerful and mysterious enemies. That's pretty much what I thought when they said it would all happen again, no way the three remaining androids are gunna revive Yorha, but the machines going to space will likely form something not unlike it given time and resources, which they have.

Ending E is fucking incredible. Great game

Listen to the pod conversation
They state that it's likely to happen all over again, and there's only a slim hope that things won't go back to that cycle

>machines going to space will likely form something not unlike it given time and resources
Time is meaningless to the conceptual network, not entirely meaningless to individual androids. The ark was fired into deep space and likely never find anything or do anything, essentially becoming a pointless grave unless some other aliens pick it up. What you're saying doesn't really sound like a repetition at all. Adam and Eve were created as pawns and used as pawns by the red girl. They never had real agency or the full picture, 2B, 9S, and A2 do after the final ending.

>the red girl
That's a representation of the collective's consciousness. It's not an individual, but distinct machines communicate over the network using it as an avatar.

Just finished route [B]

I love how 9S gives you some E-drug and it totally fucks with the dramatic credits music

This game has so many amazing little details. Most singleplayer games I would be burnt out on by now but I'm already looking forward to my next playthrough

You're just stating facts. Not asking a question or reacting to them. Your post seems odd. Is there something missing from it?

I was actually extremely disappointed with the end of route B. I expected there to be some difference between it and A, but there was nothing, no twist, nada. If I could rewrite it a little, I'd make ending A cut off without 9S regenerating himself over the network. Much more impactful that way I think. Better than, "Oh god it's so sad! No wait, he's alright and everything is a-okay in the first ending of Yoko Taro game."

Isn't it the Shadowlord's consciousness? I could of sworn it said it had a human mind.

What? How did you even bring him into this? The machine network shifted to become the Red Girl after obtaining information about humanity, thus having "The ghost of humanity at its core."

Fun Fact:
She appears in the hanger at the end of Route B when 9S hops into his flight unit to go help 2B fight Eve, so at this point either the backdoor is already open or 9S is already infected from hacking into the factory

Maybe I read too much into that line. I assumed the remnants of the gestalt project and recreation of Popola's library meant they were using Replicants

No idea what you mean the replicants are being used for, but I've also only just got Nier's ending A, today.

I've heard anons say the holograms show up elsewhere as easter eggs, but I haven't found any.

I think that was the Super Happy ending he was talking about. :^)

I have seen this as well.

meant for

Well, yes I know it's not an individual, if you were trying to say I implied it was. I was merely use the Red Girl to refer to the form of the machine network that created Adam and Eve.

I've played the game for 40 hours without getting board, how did that happen.
steamcommunity.com/app/524220/discussions/0/135512104777399045/
Also for those having issues with frame rate, use this, apparently some fancy lighting is most of the problems on it's own.

I feel bad for Adam. It's obvious the younger brother is a tragic victim of circumstance, his older brother being insane and essentially committing suicide via you. Why anyone should sympathize with the insane older brother is less straightforward though. You see, it's not his fault he was insane. His obsession with humanity leading him to his own demise by a YoRHa unit was all programmed into him by the Red Girl. This is so he and his brother could serve as a sacrificial lambs when the time came in order to fool YoRHa into thinking they had struck a vital blow to the machine network so they would engage in the all out assault that contributes to their destruction. Really, had he not been predetermined to do so, he and his brother would probably simply continue learn about humanity together.

i'd feel bad for anyone born without a dick.

That was rather scary actually.

Same here even though I was overleveled to hell for the majority of it. I'm considering a very hard run next, but I'm not sure if it changes the game beyond the OHKO. Does anybody know if the difficulties actually change enemy behavior or is it just the amount of damage you take?

Anyone make up their own head-canons yet?

I downloaded that. Did both the installer and manually. But I'm not seeing the OSD. I must be a real fucking dumbass. Please help.

There is still another pair of Devola and Popola androids out there. Another android reprogrammed them to not feel constant guilt and the need for atonement. And they are settled down in a cabin. Away from all the wars and destruction, having a nice life.

;_;

Just wait 'till you get to Grun

In my head canon, all the androids have actual genitals used to help maintain low stress levels via procreational activities. This includes Devola and Popola, and is the true true reason they came as twin models, so they could help each other stave off the millennia. This is why androids in YoRHa are allowed to date and whatnot. Also, I'd bet good money that if Taro truly had free reign, Adam and Eve would not be dickless.

2B I was fine, then I went out my way for quests and got swole very fast on 9S's story, then by the last area I'm level 65 shitting out 1 hit kill shockwaves at enemies and made the final boss look like it just got put in a blender.
I swear to god on hard the first area in the game is the hardest part of the entire game, it's like half an hour long and anything with a chance to hit you is a one shot kill that sends you back to the beginning

Just got ending E. Was doing alright until SquareEnix started popping out constantly. It's like Yoko Taro wants you to hate them

Grun was coming back from the seas, wasnt he? Dont tell me he was the god one of the cutscenes was telling me about. Thats going to be an odd one, though might explain the WE WILL BECOMETH GODS part.

I beat it in two tries. First was just to realize I could get two shotted, second was to not get hit more than once without healing. As long as you kill everything you come across, you will be high enough level that nothing can one shot you. Just dodge and always full heal.

Dual light sword A2 with full offensive plug chips puts out so much damage that the character switching at the end was almost vertigo inducing.

Duel light sword is the god, there's no point in the combo that's not dodge cancel able so you're practically untouchable.

I must have missed some stuff then because every boss encounter was a one shot, I think most my issues where just getting used to the controls though, like I was trying to time dodges instead of realizing mashing it gives the same if not better result..

Only if you've already made a perfect dodge and are chaining. Otherwise, you can end up running into attacks mid to late dodge and get hit before the next dodge begins.

That's more what I meant, my most common fuck up in the start was waiting for the cool down of the dodge to end to do the next vs saw blade making my job harder then it should be.

Only one person on this website does that
You really need to break that habit. It's almost like namefagging.

Were the two Devola and Popola units that fucked over Project Gestalt the ones from NieR or were they different ones that fucked up beforehand.
or did all of the Devola and Popola units fuck up at the same time?

All but them at the same time then someone got the great idea of making the last two feeling constant guilt over what the other units of their type did

I haven't no idea who you're talking about. I edited that part after typing it the first time and made a typo; I am sleep deprived. Bothered the hell out of me and now it bothers me worse since someone pointed it out. I also forgot to remove the "a" before sacrifical lambs.

Goddammit, I'm so fucking sad.

I thought she would stop but she keeps going. Should I feel bad?

Maybe it proves you're related.
:^)

I don't get it

There is some Nier:Automata/MassEffect AU FanFic on the Space Battles forum. Anyone else know of some FF, or is this the first?

wat

Mass Effect/ Nier Automata Fanfiction.

When did 2B have all that time to murder 9S over and over? It had to have been before the start of the game, right?

Just finished ending E after 40+ hours of playing. Doing all quests, upgrading all weapons, getting Intel to 100% and gave it all away to let someone else be able to complete the game.
It felt good.

Also made this silly wallpaper.

Thanks GMG

did you use the additional 5% off voucher?

Should I play with English or Japanese voices?

Either is fine. I thought the English VA did well. Wesker as the pod was particularly refined.

I had a personal dislike for how the Japanese VA says "9S" though. But that's just me, and minor.

I don't like a lot of the English VAs tbh. The pods and returning roles like Emil seemed good when I briefly turned them on. A2 was especially shit.

A lot of the more emotional dialogue in english VA sucked a load of ass. I've watched some parts, like the one where 2B calls 9S "Nines" for the first time (in the castle), and it's so awful in english. She says something like "Nayeeeen… z" or someshit.

Because she's not supposed to call him "Nines" just like that. She's supposed to be reluctant/hesitant to use his nickname.

I like the Japanese audio way more. The characters are voiced in a way that matches the age they present with there. 2B has a teenagers voice. 9S has a boy's voice.

Full rip separated into categories: mega.nz/#!HZIQHbDC!votk7a90TYba1GQsm9KYdSdRXqzLnzwpAu4tz4XqCBk

Not all the track names are correct and the tracks aren't all properly mixed (for example, the vocals for the ruined city and the backing track are separate) but this is the best you're gonna get til the ost is released.

I only know of:
Are there more?

9S is great in English. Everyone else either decent or kinda bland. It's a good dub overall and I think it's worth it for 9S's performance.
Japanese is what you'd usually expect. If you don't want to read subs while you're playing, then you can't go wrong with the dub. If you hate dubs, go for the sub. Not like I could convince you otherwise.

my shota fetish were in Japanese he sounds 12 as opposed to 17 makes it waaaaaaaaaaaay better

Also English 2B doesn't know how to Kuudere correctly whatsoever.

SHIT, SQUARE ENIX!

Guess I'll try out the English first and if I really don't like it I'll switch.

Worst girl type tbh m80

You can stop having a shit taste in girls if you really try.

Your waifu doesn't love you

What a coincidence. My little sister is also watching me play. Too bad mine has shit taste.

How in the fuck did you find Enhanced Small Sphere: Axe Equipped and EMP Small Biped?

Just bought this today for Steam. I have it set to 1920x1080 FS, but, the Steam popups make it seem like it is running at a lower resolution. Is this normal?

There's a bug causing it to only go to 1600 when full-screened, if you go to windowed it should properly go to 1920.

Ah! That is weird. Playing in a window will mean that it is obstructed though? Or do you mean Borderless FS?

Yes you need to go borderless until they patch it

Ahh thanks!

...

Fisting is disgusting, and she only loves 9S anyway. You wouldn't disrespect their relationship, would you?

Please fist A2 instead.

Who is Kira Buckland and why is she bad?

Google

Can someone who knows more about Denuvo know if it really damages SSD like some anons say? Or anything else I should be concerned about? Trying to decide if I really need to wait for crack or not

Whoops didn't mean to respond to that post

See
I'm not convinced that Denouvo doesn't have a loading time hit with it since I had 6 minute plus load times in Doom which disappeared after the DRM was patched out, but the SSD wear and tear has been tested in the past by myself and others.

Did anyone else watch ENB's twitch streams of Nier? Is the combat really just "mash attack and dodge"?

Combat could be better. It's mostly bad because the enemies are trash and non-threatening and the game is unbalanced on all difficulties except easy, because it's supposed to be easy. I fucking dare anyone to complete the segment where you have four YoRHa flight units attack you and all your combat abilities and even dodging become unresponsive, on very hard. I highly doubt anybody in QA even tested it.

Pretty much. There's a fair amount of customization that allows you to pull off some moves. And there's a bayonetta-style counter.

In fact I think it's Bayonetta-lite. Not with the same amount of depth. It's smooth, responsive and has customization. You don't really unlock new attacks in the same way as Bayonetta or other games, you get them by upgrading weapons, which adds attacks to combos of weapon types.

You also get Pod attacks which you have to find and buy. There's jump and dodge cancelling, and a plugin chip that gives you dodge offset.

I'm kind of confused after getting ending C, I expected that I was going to replay from the beginning of the C/D section to get the D ending but it sends you to the very beginning. Is this required or can you just jump to the last mission where A2 and 9S fight using chapter select. and if so do I miss out on even more content extra content like on the second playthrough?

FUCKING ANDROIDS
GET THE FUCK OUT OF OUR KINGDOM
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I see that you too are a man of sophistication.

Chapter select can jump you straight to the fight, and as far as I'm aware you won't miss anything you didn't already miss. It's pretty disappointing compared to how A and B worked.

Nier is a bittersweet life lesson. Let her.

I wish they did something like that but I guess the trade off was how in the initial playthrough of A and B it was interesting to play as a whole new character with the extra content from when 9S and 2B were split. Though in the C/D route you get to switch between A2 and 9S a lot, so I think that kind of levels the playing field. Plus there were a lot more emotional bombdrops there too.

Reminds me of 999 threads

Bravo whoever is the designer

I like it, 1v1 me in RL feggit.

meant for

It didn't have a comma if I remember right

SH*T SQUARE ENIX!

I like it too, guess I misstated my point

No, I actually misread it. I thought said "no reason."

I never noticed it, that's cool.

You faggots are triggering me every time, it's 21O, not 0. O for Operator model.

I successfully shilled Automata to one of my coworkers, the one who seemed to have the least shit taste in vidya. Did I do well?

He only got through the prologue so far, but he's already talking about how awesome the music is.

What other games do this well?

Dude, the first fight was baller. Him going Initial D all over the place and spamming projectiles that look like Emil heads was awesome.
The second bossfight being a reskin was a letdown, though, and the English voiceovers for Emil's breakdown weren't great either.

I feel like the entire leveling system was put in place just so they'd have an out for being forced to fine tune every segment in the game. But nothing's perfect and I feel the fluidity of movement we got as a result was worth the tradeoff. It kind of reminds me of Dishonored in that regard.

Did you notice that the brooch is actually the real original head and it turns to look at you because the fake head does not have eyes?

Name one hint beside Eve's tattoo.
Well, I guess the Terminals looking somewhat like Manah counts as well, but's it still vague as fuck.

Yeah, I noticed that. It has glowing eyes, after all.
I also didn't really notice the speaker in its mouth.

I would rather hear it from you.

2B's English voice was also my least favorite of the cast, it sounded too cold and bitchy compared to the original, and by extension made 9S appear like a cuck for tolerating her. All other English voices range from passable to great, but 2B is a letdown.
Though I wonder how much of that is because of the voice director and how much is the actor.

What was your line? Mine was something like
>I'm good at shooting. So, I will help you. user, [Russia]

Me too, user, me too. You can dodge every attack and every bullet, but you can never dodge the feels.

Why do you even play Yoko Taro games? I nearly came when Pascal's qt JP VA said "A2-san, how could you?"
I believed I was making the right choice, but I never saw Pascal again. I think he sudokued himself shortly afterwards.

I made that shitty webm.
I'm glad somebody liked it enough to save and repost.

Did you check the canyon?

>You can find Pascal's body
Well I guess I playing the game all over again from the beginning.

Mine is that Adam came to a better understanding of humankind and evolved himself a dick.

English is kinda better in the sense that you have a better emotional connection with a language you can actually speak.
If it wasn't for 2B being turned into a cold bitch instead of an emotionless-ish but polite doll, I'd recommend the English dub wholeheartedly.

Well that's the joke. She stumbles in japanese as well. In English the exchange goes "something-something, two-B!" - "something-something, nine…Z", so that it rhymes. I think it works pretty well.

One small detail that's different in the English dub is that one of the times Nines calls the Commander a slave driver, he adds to that an imitation of a whip crack sound. That one actually cracked me up.

Now I really want to get the settings for a machine voice modulator used in the game so that I could yell all kinds of autistic and gay shit with it.

Proposal: remove your OS chip.

I really want to hear read aloud in the machine voice after hearing it in my head repeatedly.

So about the endings ending e is the last true main story ending right? the rest of them are meme endings by doing acts at specific points in the story not at the end?

You've gotten all the five main ones, right? While the joke endings are likely to be considered non-canon and E is present in both endings C and D, whether or not Taro makes a sequel where a joke ending is canon or not is a gamble.

Hardest boss in Automata

Ending Y is also a joke ending, but it relates directly to Emil's story, and also reveals that he has a fusion reactor, like YoRHa black box, but apparently powerful enough to turn Earth into a charred rock.

Shilling my new bread

Archive this nigger.

Make sure he gets through route B instead of quitting halfway through saying "B-but its same shit with different character!"

So, I have another question. Why does 2B rock the Virtuous weapons at the start of the game, and not YoRHa-issue or Type-40 weapons?

Have you beaten ending C?

Yeah, I've done a completionist run. Maybe I've missed some info, I dunno.

Remember, 2B is not a standard battler unit.
