Why is this game so boring?

Why is this game so boring?

The story and art direction are literally written and designed for 9 year olds. The cutscenes take forever to finish and can't be skipped, you can't even leave for a coffee break because you're required to press A to confirm dialogs. The dungeons are choke full of puzzles that if feels like a puzzle game rather than an action adventure one. The enemies are incredibly boring to fight despite the good combat mechanics, they have invincibility frames so you need to wait for a few seconds before unleashing the next blow. The only fun enemies are the ones that wield a sword and are humanoid.

I love some of the Zelda games. Zelda 1 was a great sandbox dungeon crawler, A Link to The Past was more linear but still okay, Ocarina of Time is just boring. Why does everyone pretend that OoT is the best in the series? I think Megaman Legends 1 and 2 were far more successful as open world action adventure console games than Zelda.

C'mon OP, you know you chose a low-hanging fruit to attack (ie. the "Highest Rated yaddda yadda") to summon an army of spergs. We're onto you

You know, I feel like I've saved myself so much trouble by never playing a zelda game. I don't have to care about shit threads like this, or BotW, or SJW faggots making link a girl or zelda a stronk womyn. And I still get midna porn. Seems like a win-win to me.

No, I just wonder why this was rated as the greatest game of all time.

Oh yeah, the graphics look worse than even OoT, what the fuck were they thinking.

'''Ah, daddy!~~"

I want a cute twink, with short blond hair and otter body to fuck all night. I can't wait to meet my boyfriend! ~

Why is Link so perfect?

post moar

I don't know man, but fuck. He was my first "why boner" when I was a little kid.

The same reason Gone with the Wind or Citizens Kane are considered the highest rated movies of all time. The game appealed to critics. The gameplay is non-offensive and the environment has dark (ie. "deep") undertones. Thats all it takes

And thread derailed, good mercy killing. faggot

haha

I had to do it.

Try fapping to this

Which one, Holla Forums?

What is your endgame?

I see your point.

why? are my trousers falling down?

Shit threads get shit posts bruh

Why is this bait so boring?

The writing and delivery are literally written and designed for 9 year olds. The talking points take forever to finish but can be skipped, you can't even leave for a coffee break because you're required to read the post to see if there are any valid points. The arguments are choke full of whiny crap that if feels like a "I can't git gud" post rather than an action adventure bait. The paragraphs are incredibly boring to read despite the good reddit spacing, they have multiple sentences in them though so it could be worse. The only funny points are the ones that claim Megeman Legends games were better.

I hate all of of the Zelda baits. Majora's Mask is a bit more niche, A Link to The Past is more original but still lame, Ocarina of Time bait is just boring. Why does everyone pretend that OoT is the best to use as bait? I think a less obvious series would be far more successful as open world action adventure console bait than Zelda.

...

Haven't played it in a few years, huh?
Talk about games that haven't aged well.

This is some really fucking stale b8, m8.

The games aged fine apart from the Arcade-inspired combat/movement that would not fit in a comparable open-world today

That's some pretty shitty bait. Here, have some copypasta

Why is OP so gay?

The first post and its reasoning are literally written and designed by 9 a year old. The paragraphs take forever to finish and can't be skipped, but you can leave for a coffee break because you're not required to read them after you realize they're retarded. OP's mother chokes on fully erect penis that it feels like a cheap 5 dollar whore rather than a wholesome MILF. The tits are incredibly boring to squeeze despite the good profile, they have hairs and moles so you need to wait for a few seconds before mustering the nerve to feel her up. The only fun parts of her body are the ones that are smooth enough that they can momentarily fool you into thinking you're touching a taut and supple 21 year old.

I love some of the OP's older female relatives. OP's aunt was a great cock sucker, OP's grandmother was more prone to fatigue but still took dick okay, OP's mother is just boring. Why does everyone pretend that OP's mother is the best in the family? I think Anthony Burch's mother and aunt were far more successful as open cunt fuck bags than OP's mom.

Nice autism lads. Are we not allowed to discuss video games here?

Here's your fucking (you)

Be careful what you wish for, bro

Yeah, I prefer women.
But the second, third and fourth pics are fine too.

Alright, you want someone to actually address your points? Fine, but I already know how this is going to end.
You were hoping for Shakespeareian writing? As for the art direction, it's fine by me.
Fair point.
Zelda has always been about a combination of puzzles and combat scenarios. Sometimes the puzzle is the combat scenario. You're complaining that a game that is well known for following a formula was designed to follow a formula. That's like complaining about the fact that ice cream is cold. Of course it is, you dipshit, that's one of the selling points.
Fair point, but I would argue that pretty much all of the enemies are interesting enough. Poes will go invisible when locked onto, so you have to put distance between yourself and them and pick them off with your bow. Deku scrubs are the same, but require the use of your shield. Moblins can't be locked onto at all, and can be killed with a number of weapons, so they can at least be approached in different ways. Maybe most of the enemy encounters rely on gimmicks, but at least those gimmicks are functional. They're fluid and can be used easily without breaking up the gameplay too much.

Now what? There's really nothing to say about this game that hasn't already been said a million times before.

No, I'm hoping for less melodrama and tacked on female characters as pseudo love interests, these are childish, and sometimes less is better. The art direction should be a bit more menacing like Quake, not that extreme of course.

I played Zelda 1, and it hasn't. Most of the puzzles were just pathfinding.

Yes I agree.

alright then

I like it, I think it's cool

Who cares about the pseudo love interests. It's innocuous and doesn't harm the main plot in any way. The main plot is as simple as it can get, so I don't understand what exactly you're complaining about here.
No.
Have you played any of other Zelda games? They all use puzzles. There are puzzles that require you to use a certain item in a certain place. There are puzzles that require you to activate a number of switches within a certain time frame. There are puzzles that require you to kill all the enemies in a room but in a specific order. There are combat scenarios that are themselves a puzzle; they typically require the use of a specific weapon or a specific method of attack. The point is that Zelda has always incorporated puzzles.
