Revolution unfolding in Mexico

It's fucking happening mates. The MSM both in America and Mexico are in full damage control but it cannot be hidden anymore. Everyone in Mexico, and I mean everyone, is being affected by this.

I bet this is the civilizational crisis the zapatistas have been waiting for.

VENCEREMOS

I cannot wait for oil to start getting more expensive again. Expect this type of thing to happen everywhere once that happens.

I wonder when all the capitalists crying over Venezuela will start feeling sorry for Mexico?

EZLN let's go

Not even once, only fascism there

Tlatelolco 2.0 when, hombres

capitalists never cry for what happens in capitalist countries
Injustice is a feature of capitalism but a failure of communist, that is how they think

Funny because Mexico is a fully capitalist country lead by neoliberals, exports more industrial products than the rest of Latin America combined, has the most free trade agreements out of any country in the world, it even bowed down for Trump and yet right wingers view it as an enemy.

All those "reforms" only served to disposses local farmers and has only lead to mass emigration and cronyism.

This. Just look at how easily they dismiss the economic plight of Detroit or coal country.

Proofs?

What if they just implement price control?

...

...

The current crisis started on New Year's day after the government stopped having price controls over fuel, supposedly to "open up" and "liberalize" the oil sector and free budget money.

The justification is that it was too much of a burden to subsidize and if they didn't do it, they would have to close down hospitals and half of the schools in the country.

Oh I wasn't expecting it, I'm well aware they're crocodile tears. Just a bit peeved since I was arguing with an asshole Blairite, trying to pin the collapse of Venezuela on "socialism" and by extension Corbyn, and accusing me of being "unsympathetic."

Hold on a sec. Are you actually claim "real socialism" will come to mexico in any way?

Nobody can be that retarded. You fags just like to cheer for happenings on the internet.

Why don't I believe this? Also does anyone ever feel like all these politicians are reading off of the same neoliberal script?

Also just because bad things are happening doesn't automatically mean communist revolution. The zapatistas are basically living in the mountains and might not even know about this. The government will probably just get implement price controls on gas.

With such a back lass won't they just implement price controls again?

Same tbqh. If they really wanted to control the budget they would arrest one of the 8 missing governors on the run for indebting their states and taking it all for their own pockets.

I'm thinking on going to Mexico to participate.

Nope, in his televized statement he said they couldn't turn it back or else they would have to cut down social programs like schools and healthcare.

The funniest part was that he tried to promote it as a "tax against the rich", because "mexicans who have a car are wealthy and can afford it", as if it didn't affect food and public transport costs.

Even if by some divine miracle this would actually result in a Leftist revolution, the USA is right next door. Mexico is never, ever going to succeed in defying its will like that.

It feels too good.

are there any mexican chans or forums on which we can spread communist memes?

...

What are the zapatistas up to in light of all of this?

debedian de haber fucilaro a echevaria

"Fuck off, we're full"

HAHAHAHAHA
Nice meme mexican goverment.

Hispachan, but they're spooked and americanized as fuck because of reddit, most neolibs there would dismiss you as a delusional college student.

Maybe Cuba could lend them some soviet nukes.

PLEBLINISTS BTFO'D!

godspeed you burritoniggers

I hate non-first world neolibs even more than first world neolibs

What would it take to support the zapatistas and get them to be a legitimate force for libertarian socialism in mexico?
I'm sure if an actual libertarian socialist struggle manifests in mexico, supporters from all over south america, the usa, and canada will flock to mexico to fight for the glorious workers revolution

Also, Mexican media makes heavy use of the "DO YOU WANNA BE LIKE VENEZUELA?!!?" meme to dismiss any and all leftist and progresivist candidates and proposals, even Socdem ones.

Dude, the Zapatistas would be crazy to ruin their thing over some petit-bourgeois run to the stores. IF and WHEN the Mexican people decide to seriously organize, then the Zapatistas and the International Brigades start rolling. The Mexican Army is no joke btw, and neither are the cartels.

t. Marco

I can tell you as someone who lives in the border that the EZLN is a heavily indigenist and rural movement; This is why it hasn't progressed beyond the most poor and rural communities in the south. Most people view them in the same way white americans view BLM.

hmmmmmm

This shit is why third world "socialism" should be critique endlessly by actual socialists.

...

Anyone else here feel like its actually pretty cool that the zapitistas wanna bring back mayan culture, which is deeply subjucated by western "mexican" society?
Why are native americans in the north so classcucked? Why cant they have similar revolutions?

The average mexican dislikes the government and there is potential for revolution. In many northern mexicans states, the cartels are seen as folk heroes fighting against a corrupt and kleptocratic government.

The problem is, of course, that cartels are ancap shitters and the average urban mexican doesn't know anything about socialism beyond "muh Venezuela"

cause muh national identity

Not this shit again.

socialism with Mexican characteristics when?

Emancipation of culture is part of the struggle against domination, but not it's entirety. The sort of communal lifestyle that ethnic groups like this have tried to maintain is something that can be taken advantage of.

would it be LARPing to make a zapatista tshirt?

Imo I think it has only served to alienate other Mexicans, as it's explicit mayan platform wouldn't resonate with the wider society, and in turn most view them as thuggish "muh heritage" indians

yes

It's unfortunate that they haven't taken a pluralist, multi ethnic stance like the DFNS has

Does that include human sacrifice or are we just going to pretend that the whole "noble savage" meme isn't just bourgeoisie nonsense?

it should be a flag on here

Lots of non-savages have committed human sacrifice.

see
They're concerned with maintaining/reviving communal structures

It is almost already

Tor is great for getting dat rare flags on hispachan.

Most definitely

$2.50 per gallon is apparently grounds for rioting in Mexico

The crisis started on New Years.

yes…
(but its ok)

Mex minimum wage is like 2 bucks an hour if I recall correctly. That's better then most Third World countries but its still not a whole lot…

Reposting this from yesterday (?), a mexican copy&pasted this (plus some other text) onto a few boards.

Minimum wage is 4 dollars per day (80 pesos)

Thanks for the correction comrade.

...

...

All he's saying is that if the people don't develop a revolutionary theoretical consciousness and/or revolutionary leadership its not going to go anywhere.

There are plenty of examples of spontaneous uprisings that went nowhere, sometimes they are even bent to serve the interests of the enemy.

Mex here

I sadly dont see any revolutionary potential from this, the exploited class is too fractured

Nonetheless I know that there is no chance for PRI to win again, so there might be hope

Fuck Leninist's.

Litre.
fucking burgers
I'm pretty sure this exact conversation happened on /n/ or Holla Forums and you're baiting due to having posted the same image

Deep and enlightening discourse.

Aren't they just as like to go fascist at this point?

If America or some other imperialist nation intervenes to put an outright fascist government in power, I can see that. Otherwise, no, unless you're Zak Cope and believe that Mexico is an imperialist country.

now I'm totally sure that americans are masochists

Just watch, the government won't do anything about it and nothing will happen. We already saw this in Venezuela a few years ago.

The only sizable indigenous population north of the border is in Mexican populations anyway. It's unfortunate but genocide of Amerindians was very complete.

global revolution or no revolution.
The point isn't about the potential revolution but the proles getting fired up against the porkies.the best that comes out of this is a socdem failed reformist government that slowly slips back into neoliberalism due to American economic pressure.

Calling AMLO a communist is a bit of an exaggeration. But he is based.

Puerto Rican here, no kidding. It makes me sick to my stomach to see that kind of classcuck.

Yush, I love indigenism as a way of combating globalist influence and strengthening national unity. Culture is something that has to be preserved in a global community.

do you think politics have an endless pit of money they can use for whatever they like? Mexico government already has been running on a deficit for years, despite the economic growth. Welfare state on that scale is simply not sustainable

of course an anime poster would not know any better

I never thought about it this way before but you're right, capitalists take exactly the "it's a bug not a feature" approach to crisis.

Oh fuck, I got that backwards but I think context still makes it clear.

Mexico goes Venezuela.
And they ain't even socialist.

I doubt there are gas price problems in venezuela

It doesn't matter what happens , capitalism is always perfect because voluntary

Mexican politicians be like

Yeah. Mexico's a unique situation in that we will get to see a microcosm of accelerationism unfold in front of our eyes. The end result of this will tell us once and for all whether accelerationism is bullshit or not.

Who's shooting?

L M A O

...

hispachan.org/pol/

Someone help me understand this. I honestly don't understand.

No.

we have the same situation here in Portugal, even though we are more white, with people who look like arabs calling themselves muh white race.

I guess it's a inferiority complex. It makes them feel better about themselves.

Basically, the world isn't America and Western Europe–what I mean is that the concept of "whiteness" is relative and Mexico like other Latin nations have their own definitions of who is and isn't white.

Because the indigenous populations were so vastly reduced following the conquest, a disproportionately large number of people are descendent from Spanish conquistadors. Many of those people mixed with the indigenous population that was not able to maintain their communal solidity and traditions.

So basically there are a lot of people in Latin America that see themselves as more Iberian-European then indigenous even if that flies in the face of our common sense.

Also, there's the influence of Catholic anti-semitism and Israel's involvement with US contras and dirty wars in Latin America has not helped the image of Jews there.

Yo abandoné esa mierdería, puros juanitos orgullosos de ser juanitos.

The same reason why it's mostly mixed people and Turks posting on Holla Forums; it gives them a "standard" to live up to.

Mexican-American War II?

WE WUZ PERFECT BEANGS

Is it really? I mean, the spanish cucked the native people pretty hard, the vast majority of mexicans are christians, don't know any indigenous languages and, thanks to globalization, don't even have much of a local culture they can identify with.

IMO the only people who identify as "proud Aztec/mayan" are LARPers and maybe some rural communities. But I don't think it's that much of a stretch to think that Mexicans would think of themselves as western.

It's not even a new thing or exclusive to Latin America, really. Look at Geert Wilders, he's half indonesian but also the leader of the biggest reactionary party in the Netherlands, calling for a return to traditional Dutch values and the deportation of 3rd generation immigrants (even though he is one).

Don't assume that brown = on our side, that only leads to complacency.

Definitely, a lot of people in the 60s thought that just cause a certain group identified as communist or leninist that meant they really were. Look at Mao I mean his thought was a big bag of revisionist ideas plus incompetence.

There was also a tendency to see any nationalist in the Third World as automatically left-wing. That tendency still exists in a lot of circles.

I guess that's why Yucatan is the most violent region in Mexico. Those damn mayans are always killing each other over there.

on the possibility you are not being sarcastic or other ppl are too stupid, the Yucatan is the safest region in all of Mexico

And retards all over europe loved him, but ok there was no internet back then.
kek how could anyone though a son of a wealthy farmer and lazy ass bastard that refused to work a regular job could be their leader.
Mao was Trump of China. End off.

For anyone who likes Mao in 2017: YOU'RE A FUCKING IDIOT.

they might not be race orriented as much as "muh catholic values" oriented

Yes it is. You just have to be willing to tax the porkies, which governments never are. Leave to a stalinposter to be a reactionary fuck.

If you want a non biased answer here on Holla Forums, it's because they agree with Nazi ideals but obviously omitting the race part of it.

The PRI, much like the Chinese Communist Party is still deep cover Marxist. we've had to tone it down, after Cardenas, to appease the national bourgeoisie and the gringos. But in reality, Mexico is closer to full communism than the USSR ever got. Jose Lopez Portillo, who before being president was a renowned scholar of the Hegelian dialectics and probably an avatar of the plumed serpent, Quetzalcoatl, set up the secret party committee, which still runs Mexico to this day, decidedly steering the fatherland towards full communism. In fact, Mexicans, as the first true Cosmic Race, are destined by World History to bring about a paradigm shift in the noosphere triggering the eschaton and the ultimate revolution.

...

fuck your murdering corrupt band of theives, the day they are all shot, will be the day mexico is free!!!!!

Well I gotta go learn Spanish now
Also here's to hoping for some spillover here in the USA

Mexican revolutionary international battalions when?

AWAKEN MY MASTERS

...

The PRI is the one true revolutionary force in modern mexico, try harder MOSSAD

4d chess, my friend… 4d chess…

kill your self, i hope the fucking revolution happens, so all the corrupt thieves in the pri are shot

i hope a war can start there so i can cross the border from texas and join the internationale like what happened in spain

fingers crossed this isnt just lupenprole

It's nth dimensional chess, you are obviously to stupid to understand.

This.

Well meme'd

I'm sick of hearing the word 'thug' used to mean 'person I dislike because his pants sag' and almost kinda wish the people misusing that term would run afoul of actual Thugees.

Please ban this faggot

Will you move to Mexico when it happens?

You got moving money?

North American natives too fragmented, both culturally and geographically, to organize.

Also they seem content being useless drunkards as long as the welfare keeps coming in.

>implying the Mexican Union of Socialist Republics wont build a wall to keep economically desperate burgersout

In the interest of bumping a thread thats actually decent can any Mex or informed comrades tell us if anything new has happened?

i will

You wouldn't?

Yeah. First worlder here. Any of you outside first world reading this who has neoliberal family members, tell em they are just like a Smithers to our first-world neoliberal Mr Burns. Pure slime.

As usual, the leftcom entertains with total unawareness of history and tactical considerations. Rousseau's noble savage was a counter-meme against the pro-slavery position (that slaves are beasts and whipping them is no big deal as they don't feel as much as real humans and so on).

Anybody on here in Mexico right now?

Mex here, nothing actually happened because of this

The real issue is going to start once Trump enters office and more companies stop investing here

These past weeks we had a bigger capital flight than in 95

Ah. So that's why Trump "prevented" some plant from moving 2000 jobs to Mexico.

No, it doesn't. No organization.

jajaja, esta rico.

The situation is hilariously retarded. Mexico nationalized all oil industry in the 30s, and taxes it heavily (99.7%) to pay for, well, everything. Tax on Pemex alone accounts for around 30% of Mexico's entire federal government budget. This leaves Pemex with fuck all money to invest in the actual production of oil, so they're woefully behind the rest of the world in extraction technology, and can't even afford more wells using ancient technology, and it's output is dropping fast as known wells dry up.

Pemex is "unprofitable" which is amusing since the government owns it, directly sets it's operating budget, and takes essentially all of it's considerable income. So now to make them "profitable" again, the mexican government has elected to allow them to raise prices, by a fuckton, which has people's panties in a jam. The truth of the matter is that it's only a gas price hike in the de facto sense, it's really a tax hike, arbitrarily laid upon anyone who uses oil, perhaps just because it's easier to pass, and because it puts the anger out one step removed from el Congreso de la Unión.

Basically:

oh boy.
Can you imagine all the new job openings at the CIA? If you've ever dreamed of being a spook, that right there would be your chance to get your foot in the door.
