Several of his leitmotifs are questionable (I have no idea why a riff from the Ruins pops up in Undyne's music for instance) but I've definitely heard lazier music from better artists before. If he did more completely original tunes instead of shuffling around melodies ie Mettaton EX's battle music (really all of the music related to Mettaton is very good) he'd have a damn good soundtrack on his hands, but as it stands he just has a lot of ear-worm stuff.

Naw, it's more like the demo was that cute girl behind the counter at starbucks. Seems pretty alright, likes some comics and even knows some shit about vidya. Then the game comes out, and she introduces you to her friends…dear god they're all fujoshits. They keep making lame jokes and won't shut the hell up about the most entry-level anime. Honestly I'm just disappointed in the final product verses what the demo implied was going to happen. The meta aspects got bogged down by trying to condemn the player for doing not only what was typical in RPGs, but also made the most sense, in-universe; you were a kid alone in a world full of monsters that literally wanted to take your soul, and use it as the final key to open the barrier that was preventing a monster/human war from breaking out. I'd murder monsters, too.

Back before Homestuck became completely ubearable I have to admit that the music was pretty alright. Easily one of the best things about the webcomic. I know toby didn't do all of it, but his involvement shows.

Homestuck's albums were fantastic up until they started all being goddamn remix albums, Midnight Crew/Felt's album was best for jazz that sounds great played normally or in reverse. Before the trolls it was popular because it was a quirky little story about kids fucking around in basically jumanji after the world ends by their hands and doing vidya things. Basically imagine if Holla Forums were split into four people and forced to cooperate with each other to not die Why being harassed by tumblr split into 11 people and one juggalo. The music is pretty alright early on, too.
After the trolls were introduced it got a bad case of Sonic Syndrome, introducing a template race to fuel OC creation and, more importantly, derail the story somewhat. If you ever decide to check it out, for some reason, you could safely stop at [s] Cascade and consider that a good ending to everything, since after that it just gets worse and worse and hussie phones it in more and more. IIRC a bunch of fans did some pretty not-terrible "voice acting" of a metric fuckton of that, so there's that.

As for Dave, he's the best character one of the four Holla Forums-kids. A 'coolkid' that does all sorts of coolkid stuff and later got tumblrized into the gay. Imagine every anime trope with a side of salt and sarcasm: That's Dave.

I think we're getting overly paranoid when even salt/point-and-laugh threads are getting suspected of being some outside organization with no evidence save for gut-feeling. Fallout 4 threads weren't accused of being Bethesda shilling to my memory so I see absolutely no reason why Mass Effect Andromeda should suddenly trip the viral-alarms when it's following roughly the same patterns as Fallout 4 or even DmC before it.

I tried it. Switched my Assassin to Warrior, went to the little church. It was possible, but it took a good while. You have to predict where the AI pathfinding will take it, and hit in front of it.

Now what's the idea behind the shitposting frenzy that occurs after tomblertale is mentioned? Is there a specific sort of psychological impetus that makes us just sorta fall over and start shitting ourselves? I've played the fugging game, I've posted with sincerity in the threads that popped up, I've even drew shitty fanart that I've since deleted.
I understand the concept behind the game, and it's not all that different from other games. Killing is wrong, and bad, so you shouldn't do it; however, I think it sort of got the message across better. That is, if you were one of those unlucky fucks that played it week one– what with the lack of autism being generated. It provides characters that attempt to endear to the player like any other video game with half an attempt at a story. It allows you to kill those characters and presents consequences for your actions, like any other game.
About that last spoiler: I'm almost positive the motherfucker that wrote those characters was making it as manipulative as possible. Goatlady was written to be an innocent old lady trapped in bumfuck nowhere, not seeing another sentient soul for whoknowshowlong, then displaying endearing desperation for some form of interaction. Le ebin spaghetti skeleton was also written in an innocent manner, being so full of himself to the point that he thought he could change someone that was actively attempting to murder him for the better. Then when you ended up killing shit, instead of avoiding the consequences by saving and reloading, an asshole shows up to tell you those consequences are kept throughout the game. This character's purpose is to manipulate you into killing more, for much of the same reason we don't care about killing video game characters, using reverse psychology. Even going so far as to say, "Aren't you pathetic, caring about things that don't exist?"
In a sense, the guy in that MK:Ultra post was right. This game manipulated people, but not with subliminal bullshit.

I think you found the reason why anyone even gave a shit. The game was designed to trick you at every turn. Toby knew exactly what the player might do, how the player might interpret the story, and played the player like a damn fiddle.
It's clear if you see the hacker ending that it was no coincidence. Shit, he even gives you a legitimate reason to not continue with the true pacifist when you get to the true lab and realize how awful Alphys is as a character, not only that, but if you can look past it, it's revealed that Toriel is even worse of a character for leaving her husband for not going along with her plan that would have killed every single monster.
