The state owned everything in those country's. Not socialism.
Why do Holla Forums get so triggered by left wing nationalism?

Also, nations only exist in contrast to what is outside of them. If our nation is uniquely moral, it follows that nations outside of ours are less moral. If our nation is uniquely freedom-loving, if follows that other nations are more authoritarian. If our nation is uniquely innovative, it follows that other nations are less creative. Ultimately, nationalism is built on the concept of national supremacy, which couldn't be further from the mantra of "workers of the world, unite!"
I'm anti-nationalist, but this is a dumb argument.
Celebrating your own culture and your own way of life doesn't necessarily entail the denigration of others. One could admire different aspects and cultural elements of ALL nationalities without ranking them in order of superiority.
Completely meaningless.
The Palestinians' fight against Israel, Irish against England and Kurds against Turkey is left wing nationalism. Your "left wing nationalism" isn't.
You can't possibly deny the existence of culture.
Even the most ardent historical materialist acknowledges that culture is a very real, very relevant component of human society.

That's subjective.
I acknowledge culture.
And a part of acknowledging it is acknowledging that it is in a state of constant change, is altered on an almost person-to-person basis and refers to so many shifting factors, referring to culture as a whole is mostly a meaningless appeal to emotion.
I live in a city that just recently underwent a population boom from other areas of our country that "destroyed" the local culture. The general consensus is that the city largely changed for the better and the only people that actually get upset about it are tourists/visitors because they don't have some set piece to jerk off to.
