What you like to see from a full 3D Kirby game? Platforming will be weird because Kirby can go up as high as the level limits him. Sucking enemies will be a lot more awkward because you'll have to line up your mouth with them, and you can possibly be surrounded by enemies and only suck one up instead of sucking all of them at the same time like usual.

I thought Robobot was lackluster and the gimmick was handled poorly in most places.

Since most of you probably won't notice I'd like to point out they made the graphics of these games worse than the PS3 or emulated versions by changing the post-processing.
It's got the same treatment FF12's remaster got, where it's almost perfect but then they had to fuck it up.

Kirby's Dream Land 2, 3 and Kirby 64 were made without Sakurai and they are probably one of the most comfiest games I've ever played.

My favorite SNES game was Kirby Superstar. I'm playing through Return to Dreamland on Wii/Dolphin right now and am loving how it's basically superstar with upgraded abilities. I don't like how they ditched wrestling power though… What other kirby games are there which follow the core gameplay from superstar? I never played the portable ones.

I also 100% Rainbow Curse with my bro recently which took entirely too long. Waddle Dee controls like shit in that game also, not a real kirby game but was fun while it lasted I guess. Kirby's Epic Yarn a shit though, no real redeeming factors and Yoshi did the yarn thing better to boot.

Kirby games almost give music/sound test as a reward since they fucking know it has some of the best songs in all Nintendo's franchises.

I can understand Squeak Squad. It doesn't really have diverse level layout and the abilities are too lackluster to make up for it. Fighting the Squeak Squad at the end of some levels can be kind of repetitive after a while. And the gimmick is also lackluster. Like I thought it was going to be like 64 where you can combine abilities to create new ones, but it's mostly just to create abilities that you can already get in the normal way or just get some health.

I know people like to make fun of it, but honestly I'm kind of glad they went with that. As a kid, I wouldn't feel like people are going to think I'm buying a really babyish game. I know as adults you don't have to worry about that but as a kid it's more complicated y'know?

I grew up with the Game Boy Advance games, and I always liked the physics better than the other Kirby games. Only pre-Advance game that I think surpasses how Kirby feels when controlling him is Kirby Super Star.

The first Kirby game I played was Kirby Super Star with my brother and holy fuck did we have a blast. When we got a N64, we were excited to see a new Kirby game out, so we tried it… and it was so damn slow and boring.
