Tell me user, what importance is the character to this game? Is it a game with a well defined set of characters, a storyline tailored to who you are, or might you just as well be yourself but a slime farmer? It is the latter. And yet, you immediately get told you're a woman.

Unity is amazing but most devs dont bother optimizing, or wait until a week before launch so they dont even remember the math behind basic functions and the game never sees an increase in performance from alpha.

I had a feeling about this game, and that confirms it.
Pretty much a different version of what user points out and someone pointed this out on the forum of why they couldn't name their blank slate non-character protagonist and choose their gender because being decided you are "Beatrix"(female) added even less to it than most games mute protagonists do. A lot of people like to do this sort of thing like when they change a characters default name to theirs for customizing, self-inserting, naming the character(s) a profanity, whatever, it lets people enjoy things a bit more just by giving them that option.
