The entire series is just desperately trying to copy other, better games. The only reason to like any LoZ game over the superior games they are trying to copy is because you never actually played the games they're based on.

Zelda 1 was based off of Tower of Druaga, not Ultima, in fact several Nintendo games were based off of Namco ones
My argument here is that there are better games than the Zelda entries, not just more original games.
Most people with taste will tell you that Gurumin and Okami are better in just about every way than Ocarina of Time and that OoT was an unremarkable entry in an unremarkable series and the only people that genuinely think it was a "masterpiece" are people that were the perfect age to enjoy it as a child with no taste.
I, personally, am probably not the best person to argue this because OoT and games like it don't really entertain me, but I would like to see it dethroned as "BEST GAYM EVARRRRR" in my lifetime.

Not really, no. His Gerudo outfit is fetish fuel but it's not his general design. His blue defaults are much better than most of his old green tunics, with exception to Twilight Princess's version.

BotW is pretty unironically open world in a way that no zeldo game before it is, since there are no arbitrary obstacles that require a specific item you get from a specific dungeon or by beating a specific boss in a specific way.
Though in my opinion that makes the game much worse off, since interesting and "exciting" boss battles were a hallmark for the series and they've been all but removed.

Out of all the games you mention, I've only played Ultima and Secret of Mana. Ultima is an RPG and Zelda isn't, so I don't understand the comparison. Ultima is closer to Dragon Quest/Final Fantasy than it is to Zelda. Secret of Mana is a good game, but that's just, like, your opinion, man. I'm more confused why people think Zelda games are RPGs. The closest thing to anything like an RPG was in 2 where you leveled up and got to pick if you got attack, heath, or magic. To a lesser extent I think BotW has similar mechanics with health/stamina and picking up weapons and armor, but it's still a massive stretch. And yet when people say Smash Bros. is a fighting game people get really upset. I don't get video games sometimes.

Dragon Quest is an Ultima clone. Ultima Underworld is a good game, and arguably important as it influenced many games after. Richard Garriot is that huge faggot DM who inserts himself into his campaign setting to stroke his ego and somehow made himself a lifetime career doing so.

I think Super Metroid is a better game than Super Mario Bros. sure they are very similar games that involve platforming and powerups and are part of the same Super series of games but I just felt Super Metroid did the Super gameplay better, so why is Super Mario Bros. so fucking overrated, is it because it was the first in the Super series of games? the game is just so short in comparison to Super Metroid.

He should look courageous and determined (triforce of courage, for fuck's sake), but he doesn't need to look extremely masculine or powerful.
