Doom 2016. Just finished it and it isn't bad, I liked it overall like how I eventually warmed up to Doom 3, but its got serious problems. The first 3 levels were godawful with how linear they were and barely giving you any weapons besides a shitty pistol and shotgun, I'm not a fan of the upgrade mechanics, and at times it feels like a slower Serious Sam. Also the filesize is stupidly huge.

Same here, though apparently Scrawl has made some more progress on reimplementing it. Distant land already works fine for the terrain but you just can't have a lot of objects on it since they have no LODs. The only hurdle is an option to recalculate model sizes to automatically generate LODs and a way for modders to manually create better looking LOD models if they choose to. Apparently this isn't difficult to implement (since they already did it in Ogre3D) but they're arguing about how to do it in a way that is best for the engine.

I don't think anyone is currently working on the old shadowmap implementation though, at least not until 1.0 is finished. Other than that there is a guy working on PBR support and a guy implementing physics using Oblivion assets (he has a chain bouncing around but is working on collision between dynamic and static objects, so the chain collides with itself just fine but not the ceiling).

I'm playing through Berserk and the Band of the Hawk right now and I just reached the Black Swordsman arc. I've never really played a "musou" game before, but I like it so far.
The amalgamation feature used to toss around buffs on trinkets is pretty neat. I'm not really sure how it works entirely, but it kinda tickles my autism.

I'm not much of of an original-hardwarefag but the few old consoles I've bought have been at my local used game store. I feel a lot more comfortable when I can physically see what I'm buying and ask the guys behind the counter to plug it in so I can see if/how well it works.

Seems to be some damn good progress made on those physics, I feel like that's something that would really add to the game. Also I know they used to have distant lands working back when they were using Ogre3D but I didn't use OpenMW back then. I work in a blood testing center. Some old guy came in looking fine, sat down, then had a heart attack and died while I was bleeding patients. Came out to seem him looking really pale and still. Some of the other staff rushed in and started shouting at him to see if he was awake so I took one of the other patients into one of the bleeding rooms to keep her out of the way and maybe get her sorted. Kept looking over my shoulder through the window in the door at the guy getting cpr. They were really going for it on him, his whole stomach was ballooning out every push. Had to escort the patient I had out through the lab rather than the waiting room. First time I've ever seen someone die before. Seen plenty of people get run over by cars and go unconscious but I'm on the other side of the hospital to the emergency room and the patients have to come to us so it's pretty fucking rare they die here.
The thing that weirded me out the most about it was that I didn't really care. Made me question myself and think I am some kind of psychopath which threw me the whole day. Probably just desensitised by all the rekt threads and guro that I've fapped to over a decade of internet usage though.

It's actually pretty good, it doesn't try to be something it isn't and does what it should very well. Give a few episodes a try and see if you like it.

That's how storage works in generated settlements. There will be dedicated rooms with heaps of random trash in every settlement.

Adventure mode is very confusing and can make no sense at times when you first play. It takes some experience to figure out how the mechanics behind things work, but once you're there you can really start the fun.
And now about your situation, dwarf fortresses are one big clusterfuck of rooms and staircases randomly thrown about which are almost impossible to get out of. Only way to find your way out is walk around and check every staircase. As for kidnappings, the kidnapper himself doesn't matter. What matters is the place where he kidnapped the person to (usually a goblin dark fortress) they will be kept prisoner there until you rescue them and that's how you do the quest.

Of course it's good. Real good. Drawn by a russian jew, but that really doesn't have any impact on the show.
This is the kind of show that makes us feel bad for hte current generation of kids who have to watch steven universe and whatever canadian garbage is thrown their way today.

Music is great, bosses are cool, it's the hardest metroidvania and the closest to the classics and the DSS system is awesome (although it requires a lot of grinding).

It's piss easy, it takes like 2 hours to 100% the game, most bosses are bigger versions of normal enemies, the music itself isn't bad but it sounds like shit in the gameboy and the sprites have a weird outline that makes everything looks like ass.

HoD had shitty navigation, a blue silhouette that was waaaaaaay too thick and was waaaaaay too long to be comfortable (or rather to not be annoying and obstructive), but the game itself was kinda easy. The music and navigation were what killed it for me, it makes your ears bleed almost as fast as Nintendo Switch's crash. I just couldn't be arsed to listen to that bullshit, look at ugly, overly-colorful visuals and navigating a shitty dungeon. And I LOVE Metroidvanias don't care about the term.

COTM was non Belmont centric, but it had the right direction and a series of of good OSTs to listen to and to have future covers of.

HOD? Bad graphics plagued by aura and SFX that tried to mimick SOTN on the linits of GBA graphics in this horrid colored mess, there's a Hack I use which fixes SOME of these glaring issues, but the game's music is still ass baring Juste's theme and the Vampire Killer (VK2) theme but every other musical piece in that game was utterly forgettable.

Oh, and you can't spin the whip without equiping an item to do so that is utterly useless, and they added the option of wasting your time to equip elemental things to the whips with a tedious monster bestiary system that doesn't even stay on the last monster you looked at so it takes forever to navigate to something you want to remembers whose weaknesses were, so it's rendered utterly irreelevant, and you'll only be using them as you progress through the castle linearly which is placed in line with the enemies you face if you just push on forward, then they just introduce STR increasing enchantements to the whip which make you forget them and never use them again lategame, nevermind they added an equip for charged shots that DON'T CHARGE ON THE FIRST BUTTON HOLD.

The whole album is a bit repetitive since they REALLY like that beat and most if not all of their songs follow a verse main riff verse chorus verse chorus setup but in a whole it's enjoyable if you ignore it and let the vox and the leads carry the songs. Their first album Red Raw and Bleeding is a bit more energetic, and has rawer production but it isn't as bass heavy instrument-wise, the bass drum is loaded with C4 though. They're a pretty enjoyable band regardless, considering the Speed Metal available in the UK at the time.

I've been playing through The World Ends With You Holla Forums. Normal mode the entire way through, and…I'm sorry…I'm fucking hating it. I'm right at the last boss, and I just…don't…fucking care anymore. I just hit that room with all the fucking dragon heads, and I just started thinking, "Great, I'm going to have to die 10 times grinding my way through to figure out how this thing dies now." And for what? The predictably love-interest? I just felt completely burnt out and thought, "I don't care if I'm going to have to fight the first two forms all over again. I'm done. And I turned it off.

Why should I care Holla Forums? Why should I keep playing this fucking game? The whole time has felt like a complete grind.
