It's always been good, for what it is. If you're expecting X-Com from XCOM, then you're an idiot. The difference the hyphen makes is like day and night.

Seconded. Older X-Com is a different beast.
If you enjoyed XCOM as a guilty pleasure, would you enjoy XCOM 2? Or, is it like saying "If you like shit, you'll enjoy this other kind of shit!" (I.e. the strategic and QA quality is so poor that it's hard to imagine why anyone would like either)
