Dragon's Dogma - Fashion's Dogma Edition

Fuck progression, how do I know when to do the sidequests?

On the other hand, I am trying to make some nice female characters, here are some of the base recipes, you have to tweak them around to get better results.

What did she mean by this?

A foursome involving a faggot, a jewess, a goat, a loli, and (You).

what if im a loli too?

Speaking of which, I think a good loli is hard to make considering the face size slider also makes the neck look weird.

mine looks fine but now that you mention she does have turtle neck but i guess its the shy pose slider

I always have to make the pose either neutral or dominant, shy ones only work for elders.

Make sure you set your character to private. Loli is an automatic one star anyway.

Still, some side-quests get lost forever and lock other important quests away and sometimes I don't even know when it is safe to advance the plot.

Really? why exactly? I thought people would always hire loli pawns, I made mine a slightly more imposing adult in this case only to contrast with the semi-delicate flower I made for my Arisen this time.

my loli stays at 3 or 4 stars and its online always

FAQ
Dragon's Dogma is an action RPG made by Crapcom with super fun combat, comfy fantasy aesthetics, very good character customization, and [TECHNOLOGY]

You can either pirate it or buy it on GMG (gives you a $team key). You will not be able to share pawns (AI dudes that you create) with people online if you pirate it, and note that GMG purchases don't give any money to Valve

1. Do not play on hard mode, it was added as a way to make NG+ appropriately challenging and it will actually make the base game easier but more frustrating since you will be 1-shotted a lot but will get many instaheals from leveling up twice as fast and can buy super fancy weapons with the bloated gold drops.
2. Make sure your pawn doesn't have the guardian, nexus, or acquisitor inclinations. Guardian makes them stick to you 24/7 no matter what and barely do anything, nexus makes them drop whatever they're doing to carry other pawns to you, and acquisitor makes them into a greedy hook-nosed grabbler that will go look for items on the ground in the middle of combat
3. Don't go to Bitterblack Isle until you have beaten the game, and if you just killed the Dragon then you haven't beaten it yet so keep going.
4. Those shitty notice board quests like "kill 10 goblins" are not something you should focus on, you'll be killing plenty of mooks anyways on the actual quests so just accept them and play as you normally would
5. Explore, you don't have to focus on quests to play the game effectively. Running around the overworld killing mooks and finding shit can level up your vocations much faster than quests and you will find some helpful gear (if you do this in the early game at least). The overworld is full of shit like "that cave behind the waterfall with a treasure chest in it" and after hundreds of hours I still occasionally find new things.
6. If you make a loli pawn prepare to be bullied (especially if she's a mage)

OK, now I need to readjust my pawn's inclination then, what's the ideal for a melee class pawn and how many rift items do I need?

posting characters I made

Scather if you want them to take on the big targets and mitigator for the small ones. I would put warriors on mitigator and melee focused striders on scather. Fighters can be whichever type of enemy gives you more trouble.

This is what I used. pastebin.com/0xSikbxq

OK, looks like I have to get some crystals, on the other hand I may need to reshape my pawn a little, she looks OK, but for some reason I think her face is a little swollen.

3rd and 4th picture.

Thanks

I wanted to gift some gear to other pawns, sadly you can only give items, what are the best items to gift? as in, people won't think you are a cheap ass and may hire your pawn more often?

Not true, you hire them and equip them with items and when you dismiss them and rest their owner will get the items the next time they rest. Make sure you don't do more than 10 at once otherwise you might get temporarily banned.

Apparently the game doesn't allow me to equip stuff on hired pawns, maybe they patched it?

There should be a prompt that says something along the lines of "Are you sure you want to give this item to this pawn? You cannot retrieve it afterwards. Its original equipment will be returned to the owner."

Are you sure you aren't getting that confused with a message telling you that you can't equip it?

I found the process more or less, I have to give it to them and use "move to equipment" as to make it less confusing.

Dragons dongma seems empty after playing through witcher 3. Gameplay wise DD:DA wins but "immersion" Witcher 3 wins hands down. Is it because of the scale?

When it comes to immersion I wish DD had horses and other mounths maybe, it would make traveling a little faster when you are not using port crystals.

Scale, amount of environmental/NPC details, not being absurdly rushed, not having an intentionally generic fantasy setting that was intended to fuck with the player so that when things got weird after the Dragon died it would be even crazier (before all the weird shit got cut).

I hate crapcom so much

I think I managed to make a convincing teenage pawn.

Did japs do these? I didn't think anyone but them do as much wacky yet perfectly artistic stuff in videogames.

No idea, saved them from a thread long ago.

how can u fuck up this bad

what are stylish looking gear for "vagrant hunter" theme for either general and/or class specific?

Wolves hunt in packs!

Princess Bride and Ghostbusters ones are pretty good.

JUST

Hired pawn, not my fault.

It's almost as if people like cute girls and not disgusting, saggy old hags.

What mods are you using, user's?

What's the rating of this model?

I tried using the one in the firts pic long ago, not quite good with the pixie nose, the second one is pretty good.

It's shit. You were told that the last few dozen times you posted this, when generals of this game were more common.

user stop
I really want to finish other games before playing again this one

Too old

god bless japs for letting me put thongs in underage looking women.

Sadly i have a toaster but it brings me great pleasure nonetheless.

Rougue/Archer classes are unfortunately pretty boring.
Dodging and jumping around is pretty fun but the attacks aside from very few Skills are pretty weak and unsatisfying to use.

Their accuracy with a bow is also horrible even at medium range, arrows deal almost no damage unless they are headshots.

i think my pawn is based on the first

Its a shame really
Especially since I started with said Vocations and got bored as fuck of the game until I chose Fighter and then Warrior.

Oh fuck, a Ghostbusters playthrough would be rad.

Not sure what you're talking about but I saved these for future save files which I never made till now.

r8 my arisen and pawn

He's in the first movie. Gets hired after they setup their headquarters.

you guys should go to bioware and tell them how to create good looking characters

Wait, really? I haven't seen the film in several years, so my memory of it is fuzzy.

Some str8 shota there.

It would be more cost effective to make them ourselves and ship them tbh.

...

I would like to change the boss battle theme for this one.

I wish Steam really saved uncompressed copies of screenshots because so far I haven't found them in my screenshots folder.

STOP

That track was one of the few good things about that series.

Kill me

Why can't we get a berserk anime as good as the jjba anime

Prepare to sudoku yourself a million times over for sweet DEUS VULT loot in the late game.

stupid hairstyles don't convince me for the lolis and teens, but welp, I am working on it anyway, any efficient way to farm for DsP? I know low level enemies are the ideal but how the fuck does the ranking up work? do you rank up when you get X amount of DsP?

...

Won't happen unless we add some idolsh@t in the manga/anime.

Defeated Gryphon outside of its quest! the fucker came back for a second encounter and stuck around.

Aww shit I'm going to play through this right now. 4 sorcerer run.

Combining items is really a hassle, what are the best potions I should aim for aside from perfumes?

I never once farmed in this game. Did I play it wrong? I also never got around to finishing the DLC so maybe that has something to do with it

I am kind of farming TIME because fucking new gear takes ages to appear and I am too scared to advance the plot without getting the right side-quests to get the new shops and new gear!!

Everything is unlocked in NG+ and the only shop that sells shit that you can't find in a dungeon is the Black Cat with its memegear. So just burn through the trash story before you overlevel and ruin what little fun there is to be had in the Everfall.

For the main game on normal mode it doesn't matter. For BBI just carry around a shitload of weed and anti-petrification sauce. There are a few specific fights where you'll probably need a large stock of curatives, but it's more efficient to buy those than to use the terrible crafting system.

No because the only relevant location for equipstuff is BBI and acquiring shittons of crap just happens naturally during every run.

The big problem with the game is that BBI is the only fully-realized area, and everything that it does is done better by any given Souls game. The rest of the game was savaged by Crapcom management ordering Itsuno to cut almost everything, so there's not much point in spending 100+ hours playing it. BBI takes the good parts of the game's systems and makes a nice little coherent whole out of it.

OK, then I'll just get my idols for the shops and keep going.

About to start Bitterblack Isle. Any tips?

Go either full physical damage or full magic, don't even think about using weapons with split. Get damage multipliers, either consumables(your husbando sells them) or go Magick Archer for dat Magick Rebalancer. Remember, you can stack those for even more damage, for when you run against a boss that just won't die.

For health, Potent Greenwarish. All apothecaries have an infinite supply. It's cheap, lightweight, and reasonably effective.
For stamina, Mushroom Potage. Get Fournival off the hook and he'll stock an infinite supply of it. It's a group healing item, so you can just give a stack to a rented pawn and they'll use it automatically when anyone needs it. (Don't give it to your pawn unless you want them to become Nexus.)

Interesting, is a shame to have so many stuff to combine to get almost always the same results, also, who thought it would be a good idea to be able to keep rotten items in airtight flasks? they are already rotten!

on another note, do you think they'll do a DD:DA release on the more modern consoles? I like being able to kick back on the couch but the ps3 version of dark arisen sucked dick.

Shieeet are you saying no mystic knight?

Is it on PC? just cheat your way to level 199 or something, also, why is the PS3 edition bad? don't tell me it runs at 30FPS, is fucking MT Framework!

I'm actually considering remodelling my pawn to look like Aelinore.

the problem is that it doesn't run at 30fps. There's slowdown near constantly. I got the game for my ps3 originally but I couldn't get into it at all because of how shit the performance was. Also, yes i'm using it on pc.

Why is it that my mage won't release a charged spell when I release all buttons?
I'm playing with keyboard & mouse, but I can't cast any spells using the left mouse button whereas the right mouse button can. I can still cast light attacks with the LMB, but I can't cast any of my primary skills with it. Rebinding the light attack key to something else but the LMB works, but it's not something I prefer to do.

Then just cheat your leveling, something like increasing the EXP multiplier so you don't feel like just altering the number, I wish there was an easier way to get DsP, on the other hand it seems like hybrid jobs are not that amazing.

That's weird, although I am using a controller, recently I got a DS4 and it works nicely, I wish the select and start buttons were at the bottom instead of way on top, I had to map the left and right touch panel buttons to mimic those.

A good use of port crystals helps with the escort side-quests apparently, unless they are supposed to do something in the middle of the journey.

Stupid hairstyles, I can't find one to my liking 100%, I want my pawn to be attractive.

Old screenshot, but I tried to make my first Arisen and Pawn be like mother and daughter.

Kind of breaks immersion when my pawn talks like any other, but still it's fun for roleplaying.

Imagine being able to add new weapons, armors, hairstyles, enemies, etc.

Like adding the dummied out Berserk content.

Feels bad man.
Maybe I should start up a game and go for another run. I had a pawn named tess, I figured out the trick with inclinations after I realized with guardian she stick to my like glue. Changed them up and she became a combat monster. People who used her seemed to like her and she had a 5 star combat rating
never did get the 5 star for looks though

...

I am trying, renaming her though, she is far from the name I put her originally.

Holy shit, thats surprisingly accurate.

Kek, it's like the vidya mirrors real life now.

I feel it too.

Mines good when shes not trying to use the fire wall spell on dragons.

I'm not the only disappointed that the arisen couldn't develop a proper relationship with their main pawn am I?

Like, maybe I wanted my pawn to be my bff/older sibling/waifu/etc but instead all you can do is get 'em to spout observations and factoids. But then again maybe I'm expecting too much out of a capcom game… shit sucks.

Mystic Knights rape, but require a lot of work to reach that potential. So don't play as a Mystic Knight if you want to play as a Mystic Knight, because the stat growths are ass.

Or get a stat growth mod.

You completely missed the point.
Waifus have no souls because they are our creations, clay figures that bend to our will.

So with the Bestowal of Spirit process would that mean our waifus would eventually become us?

What I hate is having to scare shopkeepers to avoid having them with max affinity, apparently I maxed out Aelinore so maybe I am good to go now, it didn't take much.

Any other good NPC to hook a lesbian Arisen with?

I've been playing as the MK for the whole game (even worse, started as a mage) and I could always tell that something was a bit off, especially now at BBI.
What classes do have good stat growth? I guess it's a bit too late since I'm 84, but I guess I could try to make ends meet somehow.

In the end she was always you since you were the one who dictated her every detail. The end is you accepting your female nature.

Well if you're still keen on playing as MK then you should switch to Sorc asap for better Magic Atk growths up until you hit lv100 cos stat growths go to shit past 100. Maybe mix it up with Assassin or Warrior for high Phys Atk growth.

so it is recommended to level up using other classes first?

Use this: stackoverflow.github.io/dragons-dogma-stat-planner/

I'm trying to min-max a Magick Archer right now so I found this to be quite handy for planning.

Quina's a good enough choice and there's also Mercedes. But if you want an actual lesbian then you go with Ophis the female bandit leader.

I guess I fucked up monumentally because I'll never be on par with my level.
That's the problem with these classes, they're either OP as fuck or subpar.

Maybe I'll try the assassin/sorc combination and see how things go from there.

OK, as for the romance thing, I heard minor NPCs were also a possibility, has anyone ever found someone decent among those?

Still best romance in pic related.

Under 100 you can still work with it, after that it peters down quite a bit so the grind isn't really worth it unless you really want to min-max. Assassin for strength and Sorcerer for magic. But remember that ultimately your gear matters more, so try getting better stuff instead of grinding first. Mage isn't a bad starting class, having very high stat growth in exchange for lower HP and stamina.

Ophis is amusing, as she's a butch lesbian brown woman who don't need no man. You can dick her straight. You gotta crossdress for that, though.

What if you make a waifu out of a tulpa?

Litterally speaking raises affinity, what's the term for those guys who think someone likes you just because they talk to you? (hell, most of us have been in that phase at least once)

I'm almost tempted to restart, but I figure 200 in attack stat isn't that big of a deal. Right?

Then you're a complete madman.
Having a tulpa is dangerous in itself.

I unlocked some nice clothing with the Gold Idol, is a shame it may get outclassed after a while, but maybe my pawn will get some points for looks now.

...

I assume they were unable to reach the "weak spot" in time, most of the time those QTEs are a certain death.

You deserve to be eaten by the gay ogre.

10/10 pic

Maybe he thought it was a good thing.

The last time I had checked beforehand my pawn's inclinations were scather>utilitarian. I was spamming the pawn commands like a motherfucker though so perhaps that had changed something.

Fuck this gay Earth. Memeteor when?

This is also the same company that somehow has forgotten how to make a decent Street Fighter game despite creating several trillion individual releases over the last 25 years.

All we can hope for is a proper sequel.
It will happen. Have faith.

Guardian increases when you spam help! and come! commands, also when you run out of stamina and your pawn has to help you back up.

Guardian inclination is basically retard mode, any pawn that develops that inclination becomes completely useless as they just stand close to you doing nothing and only respond if you get attacked, by which point it's usually too late to do anything useful. Avoid guardian like the plague.

there is something about flat noses that I find a little unappealing, other than that she looks good.

Looks like the type of girl that a basement-dweller like yourself had a huge crush on in high-school but she was too cool and popular to even acknowledge you so you try and remake her image in all your customizable characters/love-interest in the games that you play in a vein attempt to demonstrate to a fictional copy of her that you're a real good guy she missed out on by not dating you and carry your sweaty and overweight genes to the next generation instead of every jock she could get her sexy sexy hands on in a 15 mile radious/10

That ain't Minerva.

Not only that sounds way too much like projection but also there's no blonde people around here.

N….No, please.

Not sure which one you refer to.

They are the best, the strider has the best jump with the jump on ally head, the spinning move is also the highest DPS. Shame damage is not increased from jump height. Also the strider explosive shot can be timed to explode 5, not 3, times right before landing on the ground for quite a devastating effect. Also explosive arrows are OP, you can roll infinitely, double jump to avoid all humanoid attack, a bunch of other stuff as well. And assassin has the easy kill EZ mode skill, with other bow utilities and gouge, the highest DPS grab attack move, while he can also grapple opponents like red classes can.

So far it looks I shouldn't bother with more than 3 classes on the first run, right? I even think my pawn can't really benefit from changing except for a few passive skills.

Someone post those salt images from SJW's and the like, hating on all the loli pawns

...

(checked)
Incest is wincest

Stay in physical or magic, or not, really the game is too easy, you level super fast by encountering monster beasts all the time and some passives are just to strong, clout, that fighter 10% strength, fighter +35% strength when near death, warrior +10% regular attack strength, that 30% strength when hanging on a boss, as I recall you can only get a max of +75% strength from augments, the last one equipped that bust the limit will get ignored, you can still get crazy high. The fighter augment for equip load and strider one is almost essential for small characters. Min/maxing is useless in this game, it's quite easy as it is.

The original says "her brothers, meat, fighting" but that juxtaposition of her brothers followed by meat tempted me to turn the comma into an apostrophe.

I read that as Fighting her brothers meat

And I choose NOT to reread.

Simply fabulous, sir.

So, do I get on BBI before going to the final dungeon or before the dragon?

Someone had this pawn for hire, she has only 2 skills even though she has max rank as fighter, came dressed with Madeline's clothes so I gave her something decent, she also had non-upgraded rusted stuff so I also bought something decent for her, there isn't much hope for her performance though.

I am crying. This is fucking perfect. The murder flock of wolves and the "it keeps happening" with the goblin torches. 1000000% accurate

You can't expect too much of a rape retard, user.

She is doing quite well, very aggressive for someone who has Guardian and Scatter (or whatever it is called)
