Buyers Remorse

Let's have a buyers remorse thread.
I went and got the complete edition, because I really liked the series. But now the damn thing won't even work properly. I did shit like turning the clock back to enable updates, but then it crashes the game

I am really close to spending near 1000 dollaridoos on a mid-tier gaming PC on credit. I am sure to get some buyers remorse for that. Got a question for those who have been in those shoes. How bad was the buyers remorse?

Spent double that on a PC, best purchase I've ever made user

i bought ESO and my PC is too shit to play it

I lost my mid tier 2011 pc last march.
I spent way more than I should on an MSI 970 MB, a GTX970 and an AMD FX 8320E.
For me it's not remorse because I needed a pc to get work done and I use the extra horsepower for video editing and photoshop.
The few decent games that made use of the rig (TW3, MGSV, DooD 2016) seemed neat.

my pc wasn't on credit but it was one of the best purchases

It 100% depends on how you like AAA games. You can run pretty much everything besides them on low-mid machine.

Don't be an idiot.

Its not that it doesnt have merit, but the battery life for the controller is horrible, 32gb for storage is a terrible idea, off TV play is comfy but some games didnt support it at all, gamepad was a gimmick for the most part, and there werent a lot of games for the thing.

...

...

Dark Souls 2 collectors edition

I spent 10 euros on this.

I don't know what I was thinking

I just use mine as a porn machine, the gamepad is so fucking crusty with cum I can barely see the screen/move the joystix

I literally just built a mid to high tier PC for 500 bucks. Get your shit together and put your own PCs together motherfucker.

I regret getting wind waker HD. I forgot just how much padding there was. I knew there was some, but i thought i was mis-remembering it. I wasnt.

If you buy prebuilt, the remorse will be really high since most of those have shitty graphics cards (wont run current games satisfyingly). Go to logical increments and order the parts and put them together yourself. It's far easier than it seems and you'l get the best bang for your buck. Otherwise, a PC is just about the best investment you can make in vidya plus you can do pretty much anything you want with it.

How does a Wii U work as a porn machine? I prefer using my phone for that.

Did you actually bought it? Shit man I don't know if I should sorry for you or them

Yeah I bought it. Wasn't even drunk or anything, played 1 hour and never touched it again.

You are doing something horribly wrong you dumb nigger.

user who has spent over that, it's single handedly the worst decision I've made in a long time.
The majority of PC titles are either shovelware, low quality indie games or console ports. Check on Steam for yourself to see what I'm talking about, most games on there can be ran on a toaster too.

The argument of modding gets thrown around, but in reality very few games actually have a modding community and even less of them have any worthwhile mods. In addition to this mods have been going down the drain since the paid mod fiasco, as well as Gaben still preaching it's a good idea.
Hell, it's only logical to imagine that mods will reach consoles shortly, at least on games that actively require them to be good (see: Bethesda titles).

Sales are also hugely overrated, with most sales being identical each time. If you've gone through one steam/website sale you've gone through them all, and you're not likely to even play 90% of the games you buy.

Emulation is also overrated, with any system worth a damn still having no emulator. While WiiU and 3DS emulation exists it's still hugely unstable and can barely run at a fraction of the performance of the systems themselves. There's no Vita/PS3/360/PS4/Xbone emulation and the WiiU/3DS emulation isn't worth bothering with yet - despite the blind arguments of PC shills.

Take that money and buy a budget PC that can run whatever PC exclusive games you're interested in. With the money you save, buy a PS4 and whatever other console libraries interest you. Now you're able to play the vast majority of games that make it to PC as well as most that don't. Even buy a WiiU and you'll be able to play most games the Switch is promising.

Essentially how I can picture my experience going. Just a lot of initial money.

some AAAs excite me. Mostly it will be for stuff in the past two decades.

I know, but if I end up saving up to buy my PC it is going to be the one I really want and will probably cost double what I would pay now.

You mean underground, or is this some kind of meme?

Bullshit. Give me a source and prove it.

T-this is me building it. Thanks for the link. I'll try that site too. Right now I'm trying newegg. I may as well just post what I am planning on getting. I was thinking of upgrading the CPU to a i5 7600K just because whats a few 100 dollars for more performance.

nigger get an i5 at least

aw fugg I already did a huge reply.

You're scenario is what I am most afraid of and why I don't want to spend 2000+ on the machine I really want. I actually want a PC because I am sick of being banned on XBL. Some anons here might remember the shitstorm I caused in an overwatch general a few weeks back posting about it.

welp then check out my build and see if its worth it.

Was thinking of an i5 7600K. I realize i3 is probably too shitty for long term performance.

We get it, you don't like video games, but go shill your no-games system somewhere else faggot.

Nigger why does it say 825 on the bottom but 1115 on top? Where's that last item?
Why do you have an i3 there? A GTX 1060 isn't exactly mid-tier now is it?

bro what the fuck are you doing

Stop posting lad, you're just embarassing yourself at this point.

Just kill yourself lad, stop fucking trying

I have no fucking idea. That has been worrying me this whole time. I think it's tax or some stupid shit. What you see is what I am ordering.

what would you call mid-tier? A 1050 TI?

So you play Overwatch? It doesn't take a 1k PC to run that, you could run it on a PC that costs two thirds of that, even less.
Or you know you could stop getting banned.

Congratulations, you made a funny. Really, I get it. You regret spending the amount that would have got you a PS4/Xbox/WiiU/3DS/Vita plus games for all those systems just so you could play games that are most likely already available on those systems… Just, in slightly better graphics.
Don't worry, I did it too. I regret it too, but memeing so people will waste their money isn't worth the time at all. Let others learn from your mistakes, don't trick them into making the same ones.

It's the worst civ game i ever played.

I spent about that much on a computer recently here is some advice. The most expensive thing you will likely buy is the graphics card. I bought this huge mother fucker because I wanted something that would basically be all I would ever need. In retrospect I should have gotten a much cheaper one because to be frank I just don't need it. All the games that would require it to any real degree are all shit, I probably could have shaved off 2-3 hundred dollars off my price.

The shitstation 4 and the Vita. Those systems are regret incarnate for me.
Yeah, all the dogshit ones. All the good ones are on other plats. Thanks Holla Forums.

No, just like the last shit storm I caused I am really drunk. I even have the thread archived.

Not just overwatch, plenty of other games too, but I see what you're saying.

I am no miracle worker, user.

I was thinking of going for a 1050 originally.

Nigger you're buying an 88 dollar tower
Do you honestly think thats mid tier?
And why the fuck are you buying an i3?
And fucking Kaby Lake of all things.

Go back to your Saturn and your nogames machine you fucking pleb.

You got me to reply.

Obviously there's something else there, it says 7 items, but you only see 6.
Dude I have a GTX 770 and I think that's only now slowly dropping out of high-tier.

What kind of vidya do you even want to play? You come off as completely clueless.

I got Guild Wars 2. At the time it was my last 30 or 40 on me. Got bored within an hour.

Nigger, the pathetic amount of games the PS4 has which is like 6, besides the kike practises like paid online and the same console with slightly better hardware and poor longetivity makes that shitty fucking device only worth it after the Gen is over and it and all its games are worth pennies so.

Most weebs have no taste lad, they'll just buy anything Sony directly shills and be done with it.
For every guy buying Yakuza 0 theres 30 buying trash like Persona 5.

You say go back to it, but I'm an idort. I've got every system, and I can play any game I want. I don't need to cry over the internet and shitpost about systems I don't own/games I've never played.
I've already wasted money on these systems, I'm probably going to keep on doing it. I'll probably end up getting a switch within a year, so you know, I can actually play whatever I want rather than just cry behind a screen saying there's no games elsewhere.
Granted I dislike having spent so much money, but it's not as if I don't have the active income to not be able to spend it on the things. I work full time, I'm an adult capable of purchasing more than one device and forming my own opinions on it.

By the way, the PS4 is an excellent device. When you can play Gravity Rush 2 and Bloodborne on a PC then I'll take your opinion seriously. And yes, I did purchase a PS4 to play two games. Just like I exclusively purchased a second hand 3DS to play Rune Factory 4 and that alone.

What do you get banned for?

mid-towers would be around 40-50, but this is for a full tower and room to upgrade in the future.

You come off as completely clueless.

I'll be honest. This is the first time building a pc for me. I did search the minimum requirements for a few of the recent AAA titles released and that is what I based my choices on for longevity and staying around my $1000 budget. Youtube videos I saw benchmarking these cards called them mid-tier pcs as well.

calling someone a faggot. to make a long story short.

Calling someone a faggot is a one time offence, making a new account and not calling someone a faggot outside of websites like this fixes that issue.

I know. For another 60+ dollars a year and any DLC I want to rebuy. At least with PC I can pirate whatever I've been banned from.

This is what I am trying to do.

Stop fucking posting you Sonygger, you're fucking blatant.

logicalincrements.com/
Use this, scroll all the way down and read that shit. Do some more research before you make retarded purchases like the one you would have made.

I'd wager Youtube "benchmarking" channels are nothing but shills most of the time. Apart from that fucking i3 there's nothing mid-tier there. Also, a case is just the space you need to put all your shit, you can get one for ~40 dollars and still have room to add new shit if you need it.

I've been too busy with work and school to even buy any games in years. I have remorse over all of the games I never got to buy or play in the first place.

Did you not bother reading my first post at all, or are you simply retarded? Given that I stated several times I own both Nintendo products and a PC in addition to owning Sony and Microsoft products that would imply that yes, I am an idort.
Instead you jump to the fact that one of the many systems I own is a PS4, and call me a Sonygger. Wonderful, your flawless logic is clearly helping your case.

And while we're at it, you claim I can't do these things? That's cute, because if a 1080 couldn't do these things then there's honestly no point in PC gaming anymore. After all, a PC still less than a year old unable to play ports at 60FPS would imply an even greater waste of money.

So instead of paying 60+ dollars you'd rather pay a thousand? It's not necessary at all, I suggest you create a new account and if you're set with owning a PC then building a budget one capable of playing whatever PC exclusive games you're interested in.

I'm not saying you can't
I'm saying you won't because you're a shit taste pleb thats too busy trying to make people buy a fucking awful console and that only plays the most superficial shit your various platforms have to offer.
No matter how much of an idort you are you always end up maining a single platform and leaving the other to gain dust.
And by the way you post its obviously that thats the PS4 and that you don't know shit about PC gayman much like the Master Race kiddies.
Kill yourself Sonygger
t.idort till 7th gen

Cut on the MOBO price to around 120$
Get an i5
Cut on the power supply to like 70
Get an RX480 for a fraction>>11968008

Nevermind that, wasn't supposed to post it.

user who switched from consoles to PC here.

is most likely an idiot who never put any effort into looking up games to play. Don't listen to him. You'll have a plethora of stuff available to play on PC; certainly much more than any single console this shit generation offers.

Ah, again with the insults. I'd like to know why the focus on branding me a Sonygger when I also suggested buying a Nintendo system and admitted to owning one. Unless your special little mind truly believes in "maining" a system like it's a faction. Cry all you want, but actual idort don't think that way, given they're able to play on whatever device they wish.

But regardless that's neither here nor there, it's amusing how quickly some of you resort to labeling and insulting someone when they're merely giving honest advice. I believe cuckchan may be better suited to your tastes if you're going to have an attitude like that.

Again, a cute argument however the original poster will be the judge of that. Steam's library is public for all to see, and if people choose to be impressed by console ports and low quality indie games then they'll be impressed when they load the store.

i bought most recent wow expansion only to find out what everyone was saying about class homogenization and pruning of unique class abilities was completley fucking right

also its just a pve autism grindfest, pvp is dead because the devs literally dont give 2 shits about it

I made some really bad decisions last year:

Thats what happens when you listen ro shills

I will never stop regretting this purchase. I was young and naive, and Gameinformer hyped it to shit and I didn't know how to fact check on the internet. Even went to the midnight release, it was the greatest waste of time I ever spent.

my fucking god i completely forgot about that, repressed memory

i mean atleast with every other bad purchase ive made ive gotten more than 2 hours out of it but not that abomination jesus christ

1. If you're getting that motherboard, either drop the i3 and get an overclockable i5 or get another motherboard for the i3.
2.You don't need more than 600w for the psu
3. Getting cheaper ram might be a good option
4,You could go with a cheaper case like on of the corsair cases

for you
pcpartpicker.com/list/GHCtHN

Oh, yes. There is a bunch of those, which is a good thing. I mean, more stuff to play, right? Or are you implying games coming from consoles are shit?

Dozens of them being actually pretty good. But you wouldn't know that; it's pretty clear you never got past what they show you on the store's front page. Not to mention freewares and anything else that isn't on Steam.

Either that, or you get your taste from Holla Forums shitposts.

They're definitely not for poorfags

Some games I mock people over purchasing, for being so stupid as to fall for them. Brink is not one of those games, I am so sorry for your decision, friend.

Either get an i5 or wait for the AMD zen chips. Replace the 1060 for an RX 480, the latest drivers from AMD have it doing better than the 1060 now.

Just popping in to say that's a very good build. Only thing I might change is do two 4gb sticks to leverage dual channel.

It might be an American thing. I think the tax they pay for products is listed separately instead of included in the price for the item.
Though I'm probably wrong about that as I'm assuming he's American and he doesn't seem to know why either.

I paid full price for Hatred. For some reason I thought I couldn't get a refund for it, and waited to even try until I was past my 2 week or so period that I could refund.

I'm a little late, but here is what I just bought the other day. The only thing I removed were the order and tracking numbers.

I forgot to mention the only reason ram isnt in there is because I replaced the ram on the computer i'm typing this on recently and there was nothing wrong with them, so I have perfectly workable dual 4gig ram sticks. I just wanted more ram.

Having troubleshot my own problems several times, all I can say is just try things until something works. If that fails, then you can feel ok about replacing parts. Make sure you go through everything related to your problem though, as I learned the hard way when I replaced my motherboard (which i thought was shorting out) when it just a bad usb port that had gotten broken. I figured that out when my new motherboard didnt work either. Thinking it was broken anyway I had accidently let some of the CPU pins break, so all in all it was a massive waste.

Moral is test everything you can before you think about replacing.

why

I'm not a complete expert, I'm a novice at best. Explain why it would be better to get that one? I can still cancel it right now.

...

Any fanboys can whine, every single one of these games were shit.

Objectively terrible, objectively terrible devs

Objectively decent game, decent devs, completely subjective opinion that it's terrible

lol'd

...

It's true though. I can't call the Terraria devs good, but their game is decent and they're… well, less than decent, but close enough.

They basicaly made the pentium an i3 at this point. The cpu now has hyper threading, which basically means that it sort of acts like a quad core cpu. Heres a video that explains some stuff. You could also get it for $65 here newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117743&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker, LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

Years ago I bought Fallout 3 game of the year editon for 3 dollars. I have windows 7. Needless to say I still regret my purchase.

I think Fallout 3 was the only game I really hated playing. Outside of that I can't really think of any game I really had any real buyers remorse. I ultimately always gain some form of enjoyment out of games even if they're shit.

And I can't cancel what I ordered anyway it seems. Thanks for the help though, I'll look more carefully next time.

Oh and I didn't see that your 1150 motherboard already shipped, the 4560 is has a 1151 socket type. Best of luck to you though.

Oh if it is that would be another reason why I didnt go with it. This build is actually for my mom since her computer just died, and I wanted to get her something that wasn't a piece of shit prebuilt, and I think I did pretty good on that front. One of the things she asked for was a smaller tower, so I went with a microATX that looked decent. I've used gigabyte before and they've been pretty good to me, so that's that.

And thanks.

the new pentium g 4560 is cheaper and almost as fast the 6100. the 470 is a good(great) card, but if he only cares about overmeme, nvidia does that game better.

Yeah, but nvidia is more expensive and they don't have a card that's comparable to the rx 470 (the 3gb 1060 maybe, but I think it's more expensive).

Perhaps you are right, I remember the overwhat benchmarks from when I bought my 470. That and gta 5 were the only games were nvidia was stronger than amd on the whole lineup.
but it seems that is changed with the latest updates.

pic related is from 31th januari.

Same here. What a disappointing piece of garbage this game was.

Still regret it.

You have no one but yourself to blame.

I'll just respond to you once and not all your other posts since it's clear you don't have any idea with picking the right parts let alone putting it together based on that sentence alone. You're a stupid nigger

also no man's sky, fucking end me lads

What was I thinking? Single player mmofps simulator? I don't even have friends to coop in this shit. Lucius 2 was just regularly a bad sequel to pretty mediocre but unique in setting and loved by me first one.

i feel pity for you but i am also glad that there is someone who's made more regrettable purchases than i have

I can't express how much I hate this game.
The way they managed to butcher one of the most elegant battle systems in JRPG history is award worthy
Got it on a sale and it was still a fucking rip off.

Then again, the games themselves weren't terrible, but I was definitely expecting the actual Sims.
I have a couple of similar stories from when I was a child.

...

I could say I regret Getting Sonic Lost World since it's shit but I did have fun Analyzing what made it so bad.

Came here to post this.
I just can't let it go.

Oh yeah I bought BL2 also. Sorry buddy.

What's the deal behind this game anyway? I never understood why it was a big deal.

It's the first game by Square Enix's new RPG Factory studio. It was meant as a throwback to classic SNES JRPGs. The battle system is a copy paste from Chrono Trigger's without any soul or effort put into it.

I was young and reckless. Besides, let's face it, Molyneux at the time was nothing short of a genius, and B&W would be his big post-Bullfrog return.

I'm sorry

How. The writing was on the walls

this was all before I learned to pirate before you buy

You don't deserve pity.

still wish I had my money back

I really like Lost Worlds

The $15 to the kikestarter was a mistake
but watching it crash and burn was entertaining,

I usually get buyer's remorse for tiniest things, spending $500 at once was a fucking nightmare to me, but now that I've done it, I don't regret fucking anything. After several years of playing on laptop that shat itself every time there was more than one particle on screen, and constantly looking for "performance configs" like a poorfag shitbum, I couldn't feel better.

stop

I don't really get why you like lost would unless you like easy games. it was a rip off of Mario with Sonic's gimmicks poorly implemented into it. There weren't any physics to Sonic's speed so no using the spindash to blast off a ramp and clear half the area.
The game was so easy that it was boring. The homing attack decides how it's going to kill everything before you have the chance to even use it. You had to be retarded to lose in that game.

Why are these on the regret list

I can understand most of that list, even if I don't agree with all of them (like The Witcher games), but those two games are gold. The fuck could you possibly complain about with Binary Domain or KotOR?

open world meme, shit combat, should have just watched a play through

A cover shooter with a neat setting but I thought it was going to be like Vanquish when I bought it. I absolutely despise cover shooters.

An overrated pile of trash and I cannot comprehend what makes so many people like it. It has mediocre combat, mediocre roleplaying, atrocious writing, lots of cutmemes, and a hilariously terrible main quest.

KotOR 2 is pretty good in the writing department which redeems it to an extent.

see above for KotOR/Binary Domain

"press Y to win" melee combat, trivial stealth, insultingly trivial detective gameplay, good gwafix and a solid main story but not good enough to redeem it.
Mediocre writing, poor gameplay, almost no meaningful RPG mechanics, and a fuck ton of tedium.
It just wasn't the kind of game for me, I thought I'd like turn based tacticool games but the RNG really put me off. The only similar type of game that I've played and liked is Doorkickers which is neither turn based nor makes much use of RNG.

I got memed by Holla Forums into buying the entire trilogy, at least GOG gave me a refund for 3 but no such luck for the first two on $team:

...

There is absolutely no way that Blood and Wine could have done any of the following:

At least some of those would be necessary for TW3 to be considered a not shit game.

Changing the random battles to wandering enemies and making it extremely easy to avoid enemies using the camera made me lose interest very quickly. Plus, having every spell play the old famicom spell casting sounds on top of the sounds the game already has got really grating.

Geralt was already well-established as a character long before the first game was made. There's only so much leeway they can grant the player as far as roleplaying without invalidating the book lore.

I agree, though, that many parts of the combat were shit, and navigating the overworld was annoying and probably just a way to pointlessly inflate gameplay time.

Webm related is the answer to this whole Thread.

I bough X-Rebirth on release.

Firstly, game Geralt is a pretty notable departure from the book version. Book Geralt is far more autistic which at least makes him somewhat more interesting (the books aren't that great though).

But more importantly, the "adaptions need to be faithful" meme is one of the most cancerous memes out there. The Twilight movies is what you get when you just blindly adapt a movie from the book no matter how shit the book is, meanwhile Children of Men is what happens when the director realizes that the only purpose of an adaption is to best present the spirit of the source material in the medium he is adapting to (the movie's story/characters were far better than the book's and Alfonso Cuaron, the director, didn't even read it). In the Twilight books, there is no description of things like where characters are standing or what they're doing during dialogue. But this looks really boring in movies so not-retarded screenwriters add more information to the scene so that it works better visually.

Yet for some reason there are faggots like you who think that while stuff like that is ok, changes made to the story/characters are strictly haram because books are sacred and perfect. Would Children of Men have conveyed its theme better if Theo held a gun and wasn't worshipped by animals like he was in the book? Would it have been better if the whole movie was an internal conflict between three characters rather than one that actually involves the entire setting? It wouldn't and thankfully Cuaron wasn't a "muh faithful adpation" fag like you.

TW games could have just been about a new Witcher that's more interesting or one that the player creates if it wants to be an RPG (it currently isn't). It doesn't need to be an RPG too, it could have just been a straight up action game with no pointless dialogue options and that would have been fine. Bayonetta works as a set protagonist because your goal in gameplay isn't to make roleplaying decisions, the goal is to portray her character to the best of your abilities in combat. The goal of a set protagonist in a Witcher game would be to learn about and hunt monsters as efficiently as possible and that gameplay would be best embodied by a character that is autistic and emotionally distant… oh wait.

Turns out more directly adapting from the source material would have been a wiser decision than what they went with here. Not perfect, mind you, but better than the steaming pile of shit we ended up with.

/rant

subjective as fuck mate

I bought a 1060 and an i7.

I haven't played anything released after 2010-ish because it's all trash

Nigger stop. Just fucking stop, unless you make enough money to pay it all back in a few months, and ahead of time before your credit card company's monthly interest fees.

This. This fucking ugly piece of dogshit fighter was one of my worst purchases. Uglier than a Dreamcast game even with the best video card, Balance is all kinds of retard, more than half of the roster are gimmicky memes (Killgore) or nostalgia/shill bait (Arbiter, Rash, and Raam), microtransactions all over the fucking place, and now there's sjw-pandering with Thunder's new costume despite Native Americans didn't give a fuck about him in the first fucking place. Fuck Iron Galaxy, and fuck Microsoft. I don't understand how the first two seasons looked great, but the third one was complete dog shit.

Honorable mentions:
360 version of SFxT - Capcom thought it was a smart move to remove a mode they hyped about at the last minute, and tell 360 owners to fuck off for whining about it. Game was a soulless, ugly disaster.

Skullgirls for the 360. Nuff said. I hope Mike the sjwcuck Z goes to Hell.

Well now your stance on the issue just makes no sense.

…and? It sounds like you're trying to say that the only way to make a faithful adaptation of a book would be to have a neverending black screen with just the book's writing thrown up in text. After all, any departure from exactly what was written much not be a faithful adaptation, yes? That is what you're saying here. And in any case, it's a fucking stupid analogy. We're talking strictly about the characterization of a character, not about set design and stage movement.

Never said that. I mean, I understand the usage of hyperbole for supposedly humorous effect, but you strain credibility here. All I said was that there was only so much leeway you can be granted at roleplaying a character that already exists before you stop being that character.

And if they had wanted to make that game, they would have. They wanted Geralt to be the protagonist, which naturally means restricting most actions the player can have the character make to actions that Geralt could believably make.

So granting you a little choice in Geralt's characterization is worse than granting you no choice. But I thought that you were SUPPOSED to be able to adapt the source material? Wasn't that the entire point of your little rant? That you don't have to be faithful to the source material to create a good adaptation? Yet here your stance switches to "the game would have been better if they had just lifted Geralt straight from the book and adapted nothing to his character to account for player control?"

As a matter of fact, that very sentiment is your ending idea. So then what, exactly, was the point of bringing up a movie where the director didn't read the source material and went his own way with it? Your entire rant is hypocritical and self-defeating. Are you supposed to adapt the source material (and in a game that's supposedly an RPG, that means allowing for some, even if only a little, player control over a character) or are you supposed to bring it over without change (in which case your argument with Children of Men holds absolutely no water and works against your argument)?

Make up your goddamned mind.

...

In my defense, KI looked really promising, but yea you're right about that Xbone and Win10 are shit like KI (I rightfully deserve to get my shit kicked in).

...

I don't get it.

You all are my spirit negroes, you're only missing one game; since I guess APB didn't count, seeing as I never ended up paying for it.

You have my sympathy for Gauntlet. It's amazing how they dropped the ball with that game, and Slayer Edition made it a million times worse. What did you think about the Necro who basically destroyed every session because WB never bothered to fix her?

Bought day one.
I don't know what I expected, just not an abomination, even the surf servers are shit, and multigame is dead as fuck.

I haven't touched the game since it came out, I bought it with another friend since we fucking got all nostalgic when we saw the name since we played the fuck out of Gauntlet Dark Legacy. After beating the game I felt severely disappointed and haven't touched it since.

Slayer Edition didn't fix anything, and made the game even duller.

Star Ocean V
Deep, deep regret.

It has something to do with this.

Nope, still don't get it.

I don't own a Wii user. The last Nintendo product I owned was a Gamecube. Lost worlds was the closets thing to Mario Galaxy I've ever played so I don't really care if its a "Mario clone". As for it being easy, its no easier then any other sonic game. Its comfy to play and fun to time trial. The controls where actually pretty good and most the complaints I hear about it are from people who didn't give it a fair shake and are just rustled that it doesn't control like Dimps or the classics. If you play it for what it is, and not for what you wished it to be, its a solid game in it own right.
this is true of all sonic games

You're shitting me, what?

Every magic spell in the game plays the casting sound from the first game. It's a staple of the franchise.

OK so you do enjoy it as a more comfy game nothing wrong with that.

I did play it for what it was and found it very underwhelming. in all honest iv had the least fun with Lost world out every Sonic game i'v played and i'v played almost all of them.
The bosses in Lost world are trash.

Sonic 2 final level forces you to fight 2 boss in a row with Zero rings
sounds to me like you haven't played that much Sonic.

Fucking Intel, oh we added an extra pin. Why? Because FUCK YOU THAT'S WHY

Oh anons, aren't you forgetting something? IT'S NO USE!

Yes I know I've been playing sonic games sense 1991 when my best friend got a Genesis.

I have learning problems :^)

We're talking about changing the story to work better on screen and work better in general. If one part of the book is shit then change it just as if something about the book isn't suited for being on screen then its okay to change it.
Then you aren't that character and there's nothing wrong with that. Theo in Children of Men has almost nothing in common with the book version of him and he's all the better for it. Geralt doesn't have to be like book Geralt, he doesn't even have to be named Geralt. He just has to be an interesting character and he isn't.
This is a backwards way of writing. When you write, you don't start from "what if x," you start from "what's the best way to convey x." What that means is that you don't start from "What if we told a story about Geralt", you start from "What is the most effective way to convey the tone of this setting or what's the best way to build up to this twist… etc" and you build every single element of the story with that in mind. You don't start from a setting and characters, you build the setting and characters to support whatever you're making and anyone who does otherwise is an uncreative hack fraud.
You're supposed to create the best game possible. You're supposed to take whatever parts of The Witcher that worked and build all of the other parts around supporting them. If the appeal of The Witcher is in the bleak and mysterious setting then you take the elements of that setting that are bleak and mysterious along with anything else like stories or characters that reinforce that setting and you build all the remaining elements to reinforce that setting. Imagine your idea of my idea of a "faithful adaption", a movie that is just a black screen and narration. If that wasn't an adaption you would want to remake/adapt that to have visuals that support the story as much as possible. You would change any parts of the story that don't support the the core of what the movie is about.

Your goal when adapting should only be to make the best piece of media you can make. Remaking is just taking most of your inspiration from one piece of media, and adapting is just remaking something in a different medium.

glad I pirated pic related before not buying. dodge&parry simulator is not my idea of a "hardcore" rpg. arx fatalis is.

Kinda encouraged to buy this by a friend who is into military shit. Don't usually play simulations or tactical shooters so I never even bothered to learn the controls.
I hate camping and campers and that's what this game is. fuck it. thankfully, I learned my lesson about cosmetics from tf2 and never bought into that shit here.
I joked about pirating this game to see if I would like it to someone who was very shocked. I decided to "support the developer" and just purchase it on sale.

this was during the infancy of this franchise and I still had not heard of it before. as someone who hates jumpscares, this was shit for me.
I bought this at the same as 2, a game that's superior in every way. no use for this one.
I love stealth games and was expecting this to be one, not a hot mess with horrible community and DLC out the ass.
modern military shooter with 2deep4u mixed in.
never been an RTS guy. I don't think this is a bad game, but I haven't been able to give it a good chance because I just don't care about it.

I enjoyed the combat system enough to install both sequels onto my PSP. admittedly some missions and maps were tedious but I care enough about the franchise to be upset with where it's gone.

Silver is not a hard fight Arin Hanson is just a retard.

Alright then we should be on the same page.
I'm just saying that even if they aren't the hardest games Sonic games have had more too them in terms of Challenge then Lost World. honestly a problem I had with Generations also had to do with it's low difficulty.

Buying Edge of Space and Planet Centauri.

I did it because well, Starbound was improving after disasterous early giraffe builds and figured it'd be a decent time to get on a potential hype train.

Yuge failure and HEELING there. Planet Centauri: Limp starbound ripoff minus spaceships. Edge of Space: One of the worst 50 games in existence and a piece of garbage with it's onyl redeeming factor being a good OST.

Nigger you're fucking retarded I can tell you're a redditor and got this build is from reddit.

OP is a homo.

I backed Mighty Number 9, Bloodstained, and NightCry.

Bloodstained still could turn out ok. NightCry also seems like it could be ok.

But neither were worth backing. Well, not unless I had the 7.5k to get the handmade silver ring for Bloodstained. That would have been pretty cool, since it's made by IGA.

Shining Wisdom LOOKS awesome from the cover art, and Saturn is known for good anime games. How was it shit? (I know nothing about the game)

I have sinned

Nigger, you what?

I regret pre-ordering Dead Space 3, as I didn't watch trailers and just assumed it would be more of 1 and 2.

nigger its like $2.50 and has been receiving consistent and large updates for YEARS. everybody has their opinion and everything, but yours is just wrong. hate the game because you dont like the premise, but to claim that it's shit is pure autism

I will never outlive the shame of pre-ordering.

Shit friends get me hyped about NEW CONTINENT and FUN LEVELING

got bored like in level 60 or so and never touched it again.

Is the PC port of GTA IV that bad?

Ubisoft used to make pretty decent games mr newfag. Early Rainbow Six games and Far Cry 1 and 2 were pretty decent games. Also splinter cell.

you are a true assdick, who could have predicted that cs:go would go down the shitter? I was in the beta back then and they regularly visited the old Steam User Forums to listen to feedback. CS:GO was going good the first few months. It was a crap game when released, but the devs were listening to the community and were going into the right direction until Valve took over.

Story was subpar but gameplay was good and a step-up compared to 2 (even with the more linear segments this game likes to use). The real points for regret were absolute shit multiplayer, DRM (social club), unskippable cutscenes that kill replayability.
Slightly less faster version Brawl with somehow even worse content. Fuck Sakurai.
Bought it day one because I fell for the Dook hype, fully regret it. Boring as shit.

See:

GW2 is my greatest regret in life.

I didn't like Gen3 the first time around, but compared to this hand-holding, bland piece of shit the original seems like a gift from the divine.

Shining Wisdom isn't simply a hack and slash, it's a straight up zelda clone. The music is horrible, the hit detection is shit, you have to tap the buttons to dash or charge magic, a lot of dungeons have dashing and jumping puzzles that rely on your tapping. The plot is stupid and there's no fun ever to be had. If you want a good hack and slash for saturn get Linkle Liver Story.

I don't really get buyer's remorse. Even when I buy a game that I'm sure isn't that great, I typically resolve that whatever I am going to buy, I will do my best to enjoy it as I take it. To have buyer's remorse is to spend all your time lamenting on the "what could have beens" and "what I wants" and it takes away from the "what I enjoy." If there's something so bad that I don't wish to have it, I'll typically seek a refund for it.
I once bricked my PSP trying to use a downgrader, I followed the instructions to the letter, I knew it was a PSP that could be downgraded, and in the end, it bricked. Then later on when the debug battery thing became known, we tried to do it using my friend's stuff and found that the PSP could no longer function at all. To this day it hasn't really affected me negatively, I don't regret trying to do it because I resolved before I started that come whatever, I will take my chances and not look back.
Life is far too short for me to regret every little thing I purchase. I've never had food poisoning, never bought a meal that made me wish I hadn't. I'm spending over $1000 for dental work and I don't think to myself "fuck, I should have saved my money!" because you only get one set of teeth, so you might as well keep them in good shape.
The only thing close to "buyer's remorse" I have is I once accidentally clicked a real money item in a f2p game, and the game apparently was linked to my paypal account somehow and automatically withdrew the funds. It was only $1.99, but it was $1.99 I didn't really want to give. There's so little time on this planet, you might as well enjoy what of it that you can.

You've got post-purchase rationalization

Sure. If that's what you feel is true, then I'm not going to argue the point of it with you.

if you think OR/AS held your had, Sun & Moon are a thousand times worse.

Bro, serious question. Are you, like, the Buddha or something? My whole life is sunnier and more optimistic for having read your post. I feel like the clouds have parted and a ray of hope is shining down on my face, warming me to the marrow of my bones.

I bought World of Warcraft when it first came out in vanilla and have wasted something over a year of my life in actual /played time with it. I guess I kind of regret that.

How about a purchase that is the polar opposite of buyer's remorse? I got this game for the huge price of two dollars and its a pretty damn fun tunnel shooter\Tempest clone. Great redbook audio soundtrack too.

Typical southern mexicans
The main character was a complete waste, his physique and mentality make a absurd 180 degree turn midway in the movie (and not even because of the nigger)
The main character's wife, the one played by Moore, is highly uncontextual, we hardly believe that was the pathetic little cunt's gf or that he even banged him due to his behaviour and her personality
It's a great cinematography ride, with a couple of sensational action sequences, but the writing was crap due to its inconsistencies, lack of motive and the actors didn't hold their jobs making their characters realistic
P.D. Michael Caine was left floating like a turd
Cuaron should stick to Potter, or better, should actually try and make a good movie in his home country

quick note, identifying as anything from a daft meme picture is cringey.

Your pretty gud

I too spent way too much time on World of Warcraft throughout my life. I started sometime in 2005, and I played up until the end of Pandaria (although, I suppose it was a bit off and on, it's hard to keep motivated to play anything day in and day out for years like that, so I'd take breaks). When Warlords (I think?) came out after Pandaria, I was trying to self-motivate myself to get it and play again, but in the end, I played for less than 2 hours out of an entire year's worth of game time cards. I kept thinking about it, but whenever I started the game up, I just felt a malaise feeling, kind of like a "you're fucking yourself up with this crap, why are you doing this? You don't even like the high anymore." Kind of junkie self-loathing response.
Which is kind of odd, because I was never into the game to the point of addiction, it was as much a thing to do with co-workers as it was just a thing to kill time, but at some point the time sink went from being at least semi-enjoyable to just feeling like drinking sewage water. I can't even play private servers of it anymore, for some reason the game is completely lost to me now.
And to that I say good riddance. There's other games I could be playing, other hobbies I could be learning. I tried TOR for a while, but like any TOR player will tell you, it's just not the same. Even Rift can't substitute for WoW. Tried going back to Project 1999 (EverQuest), but that's even more monotonous than Warcraft. Unless your idea of fun is Korean grinding MMOs.

Brink was a scaffold without a building, you never heard anything about it but the box looked like it *might* be ok.

I bought it second-hand for a sixth of its original price and still felt cheated.

Let's see..

That's all I can think of right now. Not too many, but still shitty.

The unfortunate reality these days is that to be happy with a PC, you either need to work in the industry and be an expert builder or be able to spend big shekels.
I spent fairly big shekels, got a Vive with a pascal Titan. Really used it for first time yesterday. It's fucking amazing. Biggest regret is that I only got 500 gigs for my SSD. Should have spent the other..$200 or whatever it was on a full TB.
Only have Witcher 3 and a few Vive games, already used 135 gigs of my 500. Big mistake.HAve a 3 TB non-SSD drive, but might try to see if I can buy and install another SSD and how it would work.

Also, when the Titan comes down (it's like $1.5k on Amazon right now) would like to have 2 and use SLI as the VR games get better. VR is fucking incredible as you learn how to use it but even with the 12mb Titan Pascal, it's not quite…feel like it needs one final push to really get there when VR gets to where it will be in 2-3 years.

Out of curiosity– does anyone here have 2 pascals in their rig and use Vive? Wonder how much better it runs.

The Titan has been that price since it came out, I don't think a price reduction is in the cards for the foreseeable future. The Titan isn't a mainline card, it's an enthusiast card for people with too much money who absolutely must have 4K.
Also a lot of games are now abandoning the multi-GPU thing, whether it be Crossfire or SLI. Maybe Vulkan/DX12 will revive the mutli-GPU system standard with their multi-GPU schemes, but right now people just typically say if you want to have the best performance go for one solid card and don't bank on using two lesser cards combined together. A 1080 will do everything you want.

I take it you hadn't played the new Cataclysm levelling content when getting back in, makes sense you'd stop at around 60 then because thats when the new stuff ends and goes back to Burning Crusade content, which is 10 years old now.

Alpha Protocol, payed full sticker price the day it came out and had been hyped for it. XB360. For awhile it made me iffy on trying Obsidian RPG's until Fallout:NV. I'm kinda conflicted in saying this since in retrospect the story was fun (though I played it once in '10) and I enjoyed the boss fight with Autograph's "Turn up the Radio" as the backdrop. I just remember seeing how broken the gameplay and appearance was upon starting (guards basically "moonwalking" where their animation didn't match their walking pace) and being like "shit." Honestly, I'm now feeling like playing through again because I remember a wierd soup of absolute shit and bullshit fun and it's probably aged well or gotten a "gameplay a no longer shit" mod for it.

tl;dr it's cancer but halfway through writing this, conflicted uncomfortable boner

I had plenty of fun with it, despite what Holla Forums says

well for an idort you sure love sucking sony's dick a lot

I spent 80 fuckign dollarydoos on SimCity 2013. Bully me.

Alpha Protocol really is a flawed gem. It's worth at least one full playthrough.

That video is incredibly correct.

Fucking trash game

Agree, I knew VR was still basically in beta, but work in computer industry and knew what I was getting into pretty much. There are differences with a 1080. Maybe they are subtle and it's only worth it if you're autistic about graphics quality and like to fuck with all the levels until you get it just perfect to where it suits you.
I fucking despise using Windows though, and now that I'm using it again on a gaming PC ';m in awe bill gates launched his $70 billion shekels personal fortune with that piece of shit (most of which he stole/bought at firesale prices).
If you set out to make an OS as annoying and impractical as possible, could you design something worse than Windows 10 in a fucking lab?

You're a very silly person

We all make mistakes user I refuse to bully you.

Thanks.

these toonami webm you keep posting are pretty fucking gay dude.

Look on the bright side. You'll never make the same mistake again

mother fucking fuck you Overkill I hate you payday1 was the shit and you ruined it

Starbound
DayZ
Rust
Space Engineers

That's about it. Not too terrible. There's games on my library that I regret I have, but I didn't buy them so it makes no difference to me.

Like I said, I brought and played Blunderlands 2. It was actually pretty fun and entertaining, I ended playing it for almost four months of grinding, until I gave up on finding all Legendary weapons like the completionist/autist I am since drops were so low. I am torn on whether I regret it or I liked it.

(checked)
Wow, that's actually not too bad.

But why? Keen has been working on it long and hard since it got launched.

t. a millennial

Yep perfect example of cuckchan cancer we left behind years ago.

I have no one to play it with.

Not knocking on the game, even though it could be way more fucking optimized.

Every early access ever. None of them are ever fucking released.

Games like Rust and DayZ will stay in Early Access forever. As long as it's still Early Access, "Nobody can complain"

See now that is actually criticism user.
I'll wait a while before i think about posting them again.

I just see the Toonami speechs as a positive little thing to share once and a while.
If you can go into some more detail about how they're a negative thing i'd appreciate it.

Nigger, Toonami was there before the internet to serve as the gateway drug to animu. Reposting the Toonami intermission messages isn't about the content of the message (half of it is shit anime, with generic watered-down feelgood platitudes intermixed) but it's about remembering that aspect of childhood where you actually needed to wait for a certain day and certain time to get your Chinese cartoons. Nostalgic? Yeah. And so anything else of cultural import.

Not sure this counts as buyer's remorse, but I sure felt bad for the money wasted on SC 2013.

Whelp, that was my last chug of brandy tonight.

Holy shit.

I bought the Gears xbone solely for Gears 4, and was utterly disappointed with the RNG unlocks and lack of ingenuity (Swarmak seriously?). The lack of locust in the multiplayer even though dead cog characters were fully playable just made me even more mad since the new enemies look like shit.

Gal Gun Double Peace. By no means do I dislike the game. It's just that after October some folks (emphasis on some; apparently not everyone crashed after the second level) started experiencing some very annoying glitches. Sadly, I was among them and didn't risk playing any longer lest I lose my refund rights.

I don't think a game has ever annoyed me as much as this one has but that's what I get for assuming that anyone who proclaims that their taste is infallible over the internet is worth listening to. Flagellate me Holla Forums

Have you never played Dragon Quest before? Literally every game in the franchise does this, even the musou spinoffs use those spell casting sounds. It's a series staple like the "puzzle solved" jingle in a Zelda game.

oh yeah, that one game people barely remember for advertising as having a 'Terraria-based expansions'

Space engineers is fucking awful nigger.
Keen embezzled 10 mill out of development basically told you about it and people are so cucked they still supported them even after the Muslim doggos.

This has to be bait, nobody on this board can be this retarded. Also, the only problem Epigenesis has is that nobody plays it.

Hyperbole; reviews of components, benchmarking cards and a price comparison site is all anyone needs, you can easily find a good MB/RAM and case deal at fucking ama$on.

I spent about $500 on mine two years ago (plus 2 old HDs) and it plays everything I've thrown at it, I think Witcher 3 was the first time anything lower than top settings were suggested and it still plays it very well with them up high.

Ludicrously high end graphics cards are pointless and inexcusably expensive unless you're literally throwing money away.

Edge of shit more like. The only consolation is that I got it and it's comfy OST for $6. Moved my copy of the OST to my music folder and didn't reinstall Edge of Shit once I got a new computer.

Just get the frackin mods and cutebound to make SB an alright game. Still not worth the full $15, but it's better than early giraffe. Still glad I got my copy using bing rewards money and not paying for it.

I spent 2500 to get a high end pc because my old one couldn't play pic related reliabily. I can pirate all the shit I want and emulate, what is there to be remorse about?

Killing Floor 2
I thought I'd get KF1 but with a couple new perks and better hit detection. Didn't find KF1 though.

Starcraft 2 is free and I still regret getting it. Red box is me. I lose every game and the scores are like this.

I spent 200 dollars on Yogventures.

I have almost every Smash amiibo except for Rosalina.
I don't own Sm4sh or a WiiU

Can't believe I gave EA 60 bucks for this SJW fantasy of blacks winning WW1.

You deserved that scam

That shitshow was hilarious. How old are you, user? Very curious as to the age range which would donate to the Yogscrew.

Oh shit I must've been 15 back then, maybe. I'm 21 now.
I feel I would've found that shitshow way more funny is I wasn't a part of it.
Got my (sorta) revenge when MN9 hit, though.

Smartphones suck ass for emulation.
Buy a PSP.

you are drunk user.

RO2 is garbage compared to the first one.

Spend I think $140.00 on this, first main series SF game for 10 years so I got a bit to excited. Take out the figurines and they look worse then anything you'd get from McDonalds, ends up being about $50.00 after a few months.

I got bored after the first hour.
it's just dumbed down tf2. I have no idea how blizzdrones like this shit.

Wait, wut? Is that true?

Whats it like to be dumber than the bilzz drones?

It's because it's new therefore it's good, anything said bad about it is a bannu for you.

I spent around 1000 euros few years back and have since upgraded from 7970 to 970 which is my only regret.
I think my PC might be a better purchase than my car that was similar price tbh

you fuckers have nothing on mine

Dawn of War 2 was a huge disappointment coming from the first Dawn of War. I was expecting an improved Dawn of War, what I got was some shitty Company of Heroes reskin. I must have uninstalled and reinstalled it a hundred times trying to squeeze some kind of enjoyment out of it and I've never broken 10 hours. It's just fucking boring. Probably in my personal top 10 of worst sequels to a game ever just for the path it set Dawn of War on, the third one looks more like a fucking MOBA than an RTS.
I bought Deathwing for the co-op but it's an unfinished mess and to call the multiplayer barebones would be an understatement.
Payday 2, what can I say? They ruined it with all the shitty updates and eventually they went full jew and added some kind of CSGO skin bullshit, haven't touched it since.
Rome II is what finally killed what little faith I had left in the games industry and pushed me into just pirating everything I could. I fucking pre-ordered it too. Never again.

This wins. I hate that I remembered I spent money on this. Even if it was on sale it wasn't worth it and I feel robbed.

I don't think anyone will disagree with that, but it is still a decent game compared to other fps'.

Payday was trash since day 1. Heists are way smaller and easier compared to payday1 and you have overall less options because half of the shit is locked behind that stupid skill tree.

Everything I bought on steam and nintendo consoles.

fucking amazin

Bow before the king of buyers remorse

Here I just saved you 40 dollars and upgraded you to an i5. I kept most of the specs you wanted.

If you didn't know about the alpha and beta versions you could still have fun with the game up until the space part.

Change the 1060 to a 8GB 480 and you can make the processor a 6600k, or just drop the motherboard to a B170 and save fifty bucks.

The pain never goes away.

A 'shitty Company of Heroes reskin' would've been quite fine if you ask me. Dawn of War II was much too small scale to fit that bill, if you ask me. But maybe I'm too used to Blitzkrieg & Spearhead. But I definitely would've preferred a flat Warhammer of Herowars 2 CoH2 reskin with some extra tacked on bells & whistles on the engine to what DoW3 is turning out to be.

How hard can it be to take the best elements of their Essence Engine games and the original SPOOGE engine Dawn of War & roll it all into one tabletop-statline-abiding mess of large scale battles, rampant gore, sync kills, CoH2 cover & vision systems, and a three-sided rather than two-sided armor facing system so that distinct side armor can finally be a thing? It boggles the mind. All they needed was more of the same with a little spitshining & retuning, some nice graphics with reasonable optimization, deeper customization in the Army Painter, and a smoothing out of the old kinks to keep their old base and create a relatively big new one out of vagrant RTS players and impulse buyers sticking to one or another of the newer genre entries when curiosity doesn't drive them to new pastures.

It will never not make me mad. Wright had a baby, and he loved it, and yet in his deluded ideal of coming to a middle ground with seditious elements of his team totally blind to what the public actually wanted versus what they thought we'd want, in spite of 100% of the hype being generated from the very much working prototypes, made the choice to make the second half of development a matter of patching the holes left by oversimplified or totally cut game mechanics and abandoned procedural models instead of patching the holes already there from the mechanics not being quite done or optimized. This, plus the idiocy of exterior testers in finding things like the Aquatic Stage 'too hard' and so on. The only changes needed to Wright's original model to make it perfect are the addition of more detailed vehicle design, fleetbuilding and station & military building design, allowing for some light to moderate depth 4X gameplay in the Space Stage. They totally ruined all potential and longevity while betraying all expectations out of the fear that some preening idiots that wouldn't make it past the cell stage might give them a bad review or that those who get past that will be too stupid to 'get' it, as if no one has ever knuckled down to get past a prickish segment of game before.

What is Will Wright doing now, I wonder? Has he done anything at all post-Spore of note?

This game fucking sucked.
The story and artwork was pretty decent, but the gameplay was terrible for a beat-em-up. It essentially devolved into "Trip or charge every single enemy then mash a button until they die"
Steam wouldn't give me a refund.
The devs were very obscure with how they described the multiplayer. they advertised it as if it had P2P online capabilities, but it's strictly local only.

Sm4sh was shit
Even professionally, only 3-4 decent matchups exist, and they're fucking boring pokefests because of the rage mechanic
Online is P2P with really fucking retarded region divisions. Australians are matched with SEA and japan, Europe matches with the entire fucking continent.
movement mechanics are a joke

I have to stop buying consoles, because I've felt buyer's remorse for every system I've gotten in the last few years.

I should've been studying instead.

Oh fuck that sounds funny as shit.

So far the only one that gave me some buyer's remorse was GT5, because I got a PS3 for it expecting something as interesting as GT4 but only got loading screens and truly horrible PS2 models.

I think I rarely get this feeling because I'm buying most of my games on sale, or long after release so the biggest issues have been patched. Plus, broken shit is just another excuse to make screenshots and mock the game with my friends so no worries.

Local multiplayer with one player on the TV and one on the gamepad sounded great, but it locks the framerate at 30 and the game doesn't look great enough to justify it at all. Online is fun, but my internet is shit. The lack of adding any of the newer arcade characters pretty much confirms that they're making a superior switch version making this one even more of a waste.

Didn't an angry Russian kill you, chop you into pieces, and set those pieces on fire just the other day? What do we have to do to be finally rid of you?

Nope. He launched an iOS app called Thred that went nowhere, but every time someone asks him if he's going to return to gaming, he demurs. What happened to Spore burnt him badly, the industry changed, and I think that it's kinda put him in the same headspace as Bill Watterson.

You piece of trash, RE6 while definitely flawed story wise and somewhat design wise, had great great controls and very deep mechanics.

I completely understand why you think the forced co-op is bad and the dislike for the narrative, but the underlying mechanics for the game are silky smooth.

Also, I liked the bio-terrorism direction that RE was heading in, I don't need or want jumpscares or for my horror cuz I'm not a pussy who gets scared by that, so the focus on the action, mechanics, and narrative is appreciated by me.

Besides, haven't you noticed that modern (and probably past as well) Capcom is only good at producing CUH-RAZY games? If they produce anything else its either a really mixed bag or utter garbage.

I fell for the "x360 pad is good" meme.
Even though people warned me about the d-pad, I couldn't imagine it would be this bad. On top of that, the left analog stick started drifting after 6 months of light use.

Lichdom: Battlemage. Shallow, slow, and stupid, you're supposed to be "a badass mage", but I've seen a cheaper game do it really better for almost thrice the price.

Fell for this one too but got a refund on release so the remorse is gone
Did you buy it after release?

I didn't even know it released until like a month after when someone told me about offperk bonuses in kf2.
releases in November 2015 on PC and PS4 my ass

it's less that the 360 pad is so good, it's that all the alternatives are just that awful or require a lot of fiddling with settings and configuration programs to get to work.

the game really needed more utility spells. I went in expecting a 1st person diablo where magic user was the only class option, but instead it was just a dull ass shooter with magic instead of guns, and not in the cool Heretic way either.

Cataclysm on launch. On the good side, it made me leave retail wow forever.

i went threw the campaign a few times did a bit of grinding and played with some normalfag friends. and it was worth it. not the best game but it worked. it was fun for a bit but then the grind set in and i dropped it.

playing mono battles and bitching about balance? not going in and getting ranked to be matched up against people of similar skill level? not getting good? bitching about a non issue in an otherwise shit game?

i mean they butchered the lore, neutered all the fun units in the game for the sake of balance and to make the game more noob friendly. all the races have the same build times for units that end up matching up against each other perfectly even thew there are supposed to be 3 DIFFERENT RACES. OH AND THEY RELEASED THE GAME IN 3 FUCKING GOD DAM PARTS. THEY EXPECTED PEOPLE TO PAY 140$ FOR THE FULL GAME. IF YOU WHERE A "FAN" and Bought it all at release. BECAUSE FUCK YOU. OH AND WE ARE GOING TO TRY AND BE AN E-SPORT, SO FUCK FUN WE NEED EVERYTHING BALANCED. OH AND WE ARE SO BUTTHURT THAT ONE OF "OUR" MODS BECAME A SUCCESSFUL STAND ALONE GAME WE ARE GOING TO OWN ALL MODS THAT PEOPLE MAKE NOW. BECAUSE FUCK YOU. i pre-ordered before the game got split into 3 parts. Never again

360 pad is decent enough. Only other alternatives I see around are either expensive 3rd party or modern gen models, which are full of nonsense I don't really want. Honestly everything about it is servicible aside from the D-Pad.

I liked Spore as a kid. I really did. I had heard about it from Gameinformer I think, and got the Creature Creator demo disc before the game released. Spent hours playing it, since I always loved space and sandbox games. I didn't learn about what it was supposed to be until later.

...

Have a steam cutie?

Tell us how old you are, gramps

I'm 22, I still count 14 as being a kid.

Normally, I would say that you need to stand up for yourself and say no to buying shit games.

But I'll be damned if the point wasn't lost and that was the tightest shit I ever seen in a webm this year.

I bought it two times just to get it on the xbone,it's a dumbed down mmo with borderlands mixed in, the pve is boring as fuck and the pvp was an unbalanced mess, and i still played it a lot i don't know how i stopped playing, it was like a crack addiction to me back then.

I'm just chiming in to say that this webm is amazing

I probably don't want to know what was it supposed to be like?

YOU LIED TO ME
YOU TOLD ME THERE WOULD BE GAMES

...

spore was released 9 years ago, get with the times gramps

I believe 6 is somewhat better but I'm not buying.
I'm trying Endless Legends.
I'll also play some Beyond the Sword just to spite those Firaxis fucks.

At least you didn't buy the European Bravely Default collectors edition, it could always be worse user.

...

Uh, we'll, one positive thing I can say about the game is that they sound very happy together. Couldn't stop having lovey dovey giggles for 3 fucking minutes to make a game trailer. Everything else looks like shit, 10 euros dude?

KF2 was pretty meh, but I didn't hate it until they added the bullshit resistances: "this monster is weak to smgs but stronger against pistols!" THAT MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE. And the resistances weren't even remotely intuitive.

When the game released I instantly refunded it. No regrets. Also fuck you Tripwire.

They took the shitty parts of Company of Heroes and left out the good ones. That's not even an exaggeration, that's what the fuckers did. What a turd.
While I do kind of enjoy it, the game is in bad shape. And its current price is totally unacceptable. The new beta patch makes it a little better, but not by enough to change much.
One of the few games that was a solid buy during beta but is shit-tier now. Stealth is kill, cloakers are still broken as fuck, unlimited paid DLCs, faggy gun skins, FUCKING CRATES UGH
My interest in Total War died with Empire. It's not that I hated Empire, it's that I could tell things were going downhill from there. At least Warhammer is decent, but I did only pay $12 for it. Fuck the $20 race DLCs though.

Blizzard can suck my dick: Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, WoW… all shit. Every single time my friends pressured me to buy them, and every time they sucked dick. I had finally said no and written off Blizzard shit. So my friends bought me Overwatch just so I'd play with them for a bit. Considering the sad fucks spent money on me I figured I'd humour them for a few hours.

Imagine my surprise when it's fun.

Public betas, previews, reviews… everything warned you it was just more of the same. No one to blame but yourself my dude.

If only that game actually had support for multi-core processors… it still runs like shit with larger unit counts :(

If there is one thing I have to give the Rust subreddit credit for, it's that they're totally willing to call bullshit.

The fanboys tend to stick to the Rust section of Facepunch. Don't ever go there by the way, you'll get a brain tumor.

Is that the first Black & White? Because if so your opinion is shit.

Opinion discarded.

How did you not see these coming? Everyone has been talking about how shitty these games were going to be for years.
Honestly it seems decent.

It was kind of fun, but I've moved on to Endless Legend. Civ 6 can wait a few years before I buy into the Firaxis meme again.

I've met people like you before in real life. People who shill shit like the NoGamesStation and XD-box, and say "PC is just shovelware". Every time I showed one of you console faggots some good fucking PC games that are exactly what you're looking for, you move the goal posts and say "well I like playing on my couch". Ok, then hook your PC up to a TV and get a controller or wireless keyboard/mouse. Then it's "oh but it's so hard to use a PC for gaming". Look, we shit on Windows 10 a lot but it definitely is easy to use.

You faggots keep making excuses to protect your fragile minds from buyer's remorse. I'll play good games.

This looks like a shitty Doom mod I could get for free.

you got baited

IT HASN'T EVEN COME OUT YET, CALM YOURSELF

i have honestly experienced no issues with deathwing aside from some mechanics not being immediately clear. better enemy variety would be nice but my experience has been pretty solid playing with my brothers.
did we play the same game? it had all the problems i had with Rome 2 but with the added benefit of more locked content and more bullshit. you are right that post empire has been a steady slide down the hill, i thought they might recover after shogun but that turned out to be false optimism.

yeah, i played it all in one sitting too, i got stuck in that awful loop where i thought it might get better as i kept playing it but only got worse, i dont buy games until at least 3-4 months after launch after that.

The WarZ
Runescape 2 and 3
Wings of Vi
Mirror's Edge
Duke Nukem Forever

Man I hate having given the WarZ fags money. They fucked me over so many times after purchase.

You wanna know the worst? I had a friend whose option I used to trust. Turns out he'd been going on reddit, and he went off about this amazing game that was so deep and awesome and scary. So I went and bought the worst game I have ever played, and only game I've fully regretted. gone home. It was worse than a waste of money, I supported evil.

It's sold as a two pack, thats bullshit!

I got AP for $2 and really enjoyed it even though it was shitty.

Had a better dev been put in charge of basically everything but the Writing it might have become a great game.

I wouldn't really call it a buyers remorse, since I bought it in a pack that includes other games that I wanted to pay for more than I already did and got an untold stories and some rere dlc out of it, but still, it's a disappointment nonetheless. The only thing the game needed to do to please me is to have at least a single mode I could sink my teeth into that does not have a distinct taste of shit to it and it failed horribly at it. All they needed to do is just copy whatever there was in re:re.

888

The thing that definitely made it trash is that you were limited with 3 sigils (when you're supposed to be badass you should have access to everything), some sigils were useless, like the mind control (last enemy you control goes against you with a buff because fuck you and fuck logic), and it was SLOW, SO SLOW, the only way to make it sorta fast was to mash dodge, but then you break your spacebar. Also, the story was complete and utter shit.

I've seen a better game pulling off the "FPS with magic", but I'm not shilling it because I also dropped it quite fast despite the fact that I had fun with it.

mainly the surf servers going from shit to absolute garbage within the first few months was a sign
