Its possibly the best alternate start mod for this reason alone. Other alternate start mods don't alter dialogue as heavily as this one.

and to modders, I really would love some new missons/quests that involve a random chracters needing a job done. Like a caravan hit or an assination while stealthed the whole time or a drug deal when you have to make a drug and deliver but maybe it goes bad. I kind of want to see quests that are outside and use the landscape more. The map is huge and has a lot of stuff but I feel like there could be more stuff. also i look forward to someone fixing nukeworld or does the alt start do that as well?

Thing is console players never complained about that shit. Its to reach the "wider audience" which is based on consoles, but as we have seen there are plenty of casuals on PC as well.

Not to mention once you complete a campaign for a faction. There will be patrols in the commonwealth and random battles.

You can also try "War of the Commonwealth" for more npcs vs npc battles and a "fuller" environment

There's a difference between casual, and being a masochist.

The main issue I run into playing fallout 4 without cheating is due to crafting materials which i can't be arsed to find, or after a certain level, enemies start to sponge out. Or when I want to rp a certain way but my charisma(speech) is too low. Or when I want to mod a weapon and it has a perk level requirement to craft it.

Sometimes you just want to spawn a weapon or clothing in, because its a pain in the ass to get it legitimately. Especially if you start a new character every time you get to a certain level, due to indecisiveness. Certain decisions you can't go back and change.

One day I feel like being a raider, the next day I feel like being a setinel in the brotherhood.

I think most people don't have the attention span for old fashioned fallout rpg styled games. It feels like a tremendous drag just to play an hour of new vegas.

This is certainly the first FO4 general to call itself a general, but I did not lie. In the past week alone, I had to use my typical pasta about there always being a thread up in several threads. There was a thread 'dedicated' to speculating on what happens after FO4 where the OP spent the majority of their post talking about things they thought were good about FO4 and there was a thread dedicated to FO4 modding that may have just fallen off the catalog. Now we have anothwr FO4 modding thread here. And there have been many regularly occuring threads in rhe past. The issue is that people have gotten too complacent with these threads, assuming they were just shitposting about Todd or people were too busy shitposting in one of our many ASSFAGGOTS/CRAPCUNTS threads to notice. The truth is, they are absolutely generals

At its core S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is closer to a Bethesda game than to anything else. Ubisoft tower climbers are a distant second in genre.

Objectively. I've tried FO4 on my friend's ps4 and the gunplay was pretty decent.

There's some input lag, the animation isn't very good, impact on enemy isn't visible enough, enemies still run all over the place, and such. It's a bit of improvement over FO3, but still bad.

I miss early 2015. I swear I could qualitypost for MONTHS with anons here on how shitty Fallout 4 was going to be. That piece of shit E3 trailer prompted so much discussion about RPG game design, about what the old Fallouts did right on a mechanical and narrative level, why New Vegas was good, and why Bethesda are generally shit at making RPG's.

Then we had the Boston Salt Party which was fucking awesome. I remember playing a small hand in instigating it after same-fagging saying I posted the spoilers on Reddit. We had a good week of collecting salty tears. I know some anons may disagree, but the Fallout 4 hype was the peak of Holla Forums for me. Between the quality discussion about game design and raiding other communities, it was some really fun times.

Then the game actually game out and the board cooled down. We haven't really had much in the way of gaming news that would spark real discussion in a long time. The NuDoom shitposting was alright but everything about that game, including the audience, was low energy so it didn't really matter. Right now some people are shitposting about BoTW, but their complaints usually just boil down to how Open World games tend to be boring. I'm looking forward to it because I think its design is the next logical step in the series. Not much for me to analyze or philosophize

I guess the industry itself is kinda stagnated right now, so Holla Forums is, too. Maybe post-BoTW Holla Forums will have some interesting discussion.
