In dark souls some people assume that invaders have to abide by certain rules such as bowing and greeting the other player, not attacking the player while he's attacking or next to enemies, not attacking while he fights other invaders, not doing X in Y occasion.

It's extremely okay. Not great, not terrible. Uplay's the worst part of it just for existing. Faction war is just there, characters mostly look cool and have varied movesets. Campaign's not amazing but it's slightly better than just being tacked-on. There's lots of unlockables and things like that. If you can find the game cheap, it's worth it just in the event that it only holds your attention for a few hours.

It all just needs work, really. I was thinking during beta that Dominion matches just feel too short. If they made them longer so that you had to actually push past multiple points and get over different obstacles it'd be better. They just need to add shit to spice the game modes up. One of the funnest things to do right now in custom matches is to get everyone to turn their UI off and then set the damage as high as it'll go so it feels like you're playing Bushido Blade.

There were cosmetic bonuses for preordering and for the special edition. You can buy ingame currency packs or XP/money boosts. Otherwise everyone's on the same playfield.

You can purchase cosmetics, but 'gear' cosmetics from what is basicly a gatcha (with level minimiums for tiers) for stat effects in various slots that are completely fucking broken, and every game mode that uses gear stats is awful and should be avoided.
I should know, I played a full Revenge accumulation Conquerer in the beta and was literally unkillable.

Snapfiring a yumi at enemies is a universal special Samurai can select. Two classes use katanas, but one is a dickass assassin who gets in close and the other is a frontline fighter using a bigass Nodachi fighting sword rather than the usual sidearm tier swords, so they can be excused. There's a vagrant guerilla fighter girl who uses a nodachi and an oni masked sumo with a man-sized kanabo for going outside the usual weeb niche.

Right now the samurai classes use a nodachi, a kanabo, a tachi, and a naginata respectively.

Suplexes and shove chains throw people off balance and provide safe damage if the enemy is dumb enough to get caught by it. Light attacks seem fast enough to fulfill their intended purpose of interrupting counterattacks on enemy heavy strikes, if you don't want to parry instead for the extra stamina damage.

There are no black characters by default. Knights and vikings are all set to either white or tanned white and the samurai are all the sort of yellow/brownish white.

As for female characters, there's some characters who are female only and some who are male only.

Here's a better video that isn't just showing off movesets and also doesn't have some faggot talking over it, there's obviously lots of downtime when people back off, but when the fighting's happening it goes along at a pretty brisk pace

If I were a dev, I would. Since it can be safely assumed that literally everyone buying the game on PC has access to KB/M and it's probably not even hard, just not very well explored territory. No ambition in these AAA games.

By speed I mean combat speed not TTK. It isn't as fast as Chivalry or M&B in terms of input since there's no ability to cancel attacks for feinting, which means less time waiting for animations to finish and more time inputting attacks. The animation speeds themselves seem as fast as DS but unlike DS positioning and movement seem completely irrelevant since nowhere in that video does someone get on the flank of someone which makes it seem slower overall as well.

There is literally a dedicated cancel attack button just for feinting.

I might just be really tired, but are you saying it does or doesn't have feinting? Because feinting is a thing in this game, even has it's own button, and I've heard it's absolutely necessary in higher level play, though from my experience in the beta it's enough to just stay on the offensive
And I don't think I really get what you mean by positioning, obviously the lock-on removes some of that in duels, but it does come into play based on the part of the map you're on or in group fights

Every single fucking game, I understand that no one is bound to do what I do, but the game is unbalanced as shit when you start gank squads. It just turns to dark souls 3 pvp

they need to just add a flat bonus to your stats based on the number of players attacking you or rework shit or something. The game's mechanics are built around 1v1 and when you introduce anything other than evens shit gets really clunky.

It's called revenge mode, but that only helps against 2v1

I think the gist of how it supposedly works is that the "server" load is distributed between everyone playing, so that there's no one host that everyone has to connect to, and therefore no host advantage, but consequently whenever someone leaves the game, it has to pause to redistribute any resources that person may have been contributing

For those of you who don't know how this shit works, it's breddy simple: 60 territories in all on the world map for the three factions, starts off evenly with all factions getting equal amount of territories at the start of a round/season. The goal is to try to either have the most territories by the end of the round/season, or to take over the strongholds of the other factions before time is up. And to take over territoires, gotta play those multiplayer modes, and then after that you can place war assets onto territoires next to or on your own shit to attack or defend. Yes, it's true mass autism, but it's a thing to do in this shit gaem.

Feint, parry, deflect, cancel, and counters are involved and that is not counting each character's specials and player's strategies. Feels more like fighting game than hack-them-up. The real shit is the P2P which fucks up everything because even if the game itself is fun, if you cannot play it, then it is shit.

So is it worth $60? Nope. I would say $20, maybe $30 at best. Content-wise it still not worth $60, still few on maps (but not really *that* few, but certainly not enough for $60 worth), game modes, classes, and contents in general. And also P2W Jewry is rubbish in every single imaginable way. I surmise anyone with half a brain would not fall for it. Currency in this game comes easy enough, cash for loot boxes are not even worth that much in-game because the only modes you can use that shit in is Dominion (and probably Skirmish and Elimination, I am not sure). And the gear from the boxes themselves are not really P2W material. While they upgrade one stat, they also decrease one other so a fucking weeb playing Orochi with level 9 katana with +100 attack will probably got -100 defense, so a stray booger will probably kill that tosser.

Probably going to end up being another R6S, or better because this is more easier to get to than R6S.

I played the Open Beta and while the combat was fun, the matchmaking is absolute trash and P2P in a 60 dollar game is fucking unacceptable. That said, I think it has a lot of potential and if Ubijew gets their shit together this could end up being a pretty decent game, but good luck trying to talk about a triple A game on neo/v/eddit.

I'd be playing this game, but in true Ubicuck fashion, they've made it so you need to be connected constantly in order to actually play. Because of this, I have been completely unable to get past the screen of choosing which faction to play and making my God damn crest. The only silver lining here is that I didn't have to spend money cuz it was a gift.

Is it just me or is countering a guard break with a controller actually fucking impossible if you dont keep your thumb on it at all times? I can counter every single time when I keep my thumb on square, if I try to jump from the analog stick to square I always miss it.

Combat on PC is probably gonna feel more responsive since there's no fps lock, but if you're using a M&KB you'll be at a disadvantage since the whole system is designed around controller use.

As for optimization, I'm capable of running it pretty damn well at basically max settings (sans motion blur because i hate that shit), and while my rig is recent, I think you could probably run it on older systems if you're willing to play on low. It won't work on 32 bit OS though.
