I wanted to give it a chance, but in the first 15 minutes it throws so many locations and objects at you which you can't interact with yet, while having only vertical-horizontal slow as molasses movement and backtracking out the ass in areas that look all alike, I gave up. Maybe I'll try one day if I'm bored but have enough energy to march on.

You can use the pause menu to warp from one spot to the other. I don't think moving around in the barrens is too bad if you run everywhere.

If you ever feel like you're going to tear a little about just how pretty it all is, please remember that it's essentially a Mary Sue, and that there is no kid anywhere that actuallly acts like this. It's a pipedream of "the perfect child" that any hack can write in a few spare minutes.

Undertale without combat but with slightly more puzzles, along with a slight sugary overdose. Also a lot of ebin moments where the game "talks" to you, such as changing your desktop wallpaper to a clue for a puzzle and similar. It falls into the "meme game" genre even more than Undertale

All in all it's either a short timewaster, or "an impactful masterpiece" for the tender hearted.

It can be great if you've never experienced one of these meta games before, and it's still sort of neat even if you have. Niko is cute and the story is pretty neat, most of the characters are pretty bland because the game doesn't give them enough time to develop. The lamp fixer guy is probably the one I cared most about.

It's completely linear as far as I can tell. Besides dialogue choices that make no real difference, there appears to be only 3 things that can depend on your actions; an easter egg, a yes/no-style choice at the end, and an optional task which as far as I can tell doesn't really do anything significant. The optional task and easter egg can be missed if you don't get the right stuff before you progress, I missed both the first time around, the optional task because I didn't see a bridge to the water sample place in the forest and completely missed the whole area.

Don't know if there's a "true" ending, and I really don't feel like playing through for a third time and possibly miss it again because I dunno what the fucking ——–fox wants. I can only assume he wants you to see all the "cutscenes" that Niko can perceive, and I don't feel like browsing through every corner in the world looking for them for the possibility that that's it.

The "puzzles" are more like "find out the answer" rather than "solve the puzzle". You're given hints for the meta puzzles until it's obvious what you need to do. The first "puzzle" is frankly the hardest, because you're essentially meant to use an item on light coming from the window before the game has made you do anything else with any item. It's a bit of a leap in how you're supposed to think, even though the rest of the game is very normal otherwise.

The way the game gets angry at you for overriding his commands is eye-rollingly cliche, but otherwise it's okay. I didn't actually realize who he was until I thought about it on hindsight. That "the entity" is literally the game, OneShot, talking to you through the computers.

Assuming this is not already in the game and I just didn't get to it, I suspect there will be something involving taming oneshot, since towards the end he implied that something was not part of his programming, which is a similar thing other untamed robots in the world say. Plus stuff related to the pink haired robot seems to imply that taming involves modifying the robot's code somehow.

After the 3rd run all that changes is the dice chick at the end

The hardest part is remembering which tiles were visible when you focus the game window again.

That said, it's still a walking simulator, with not much in terms of puzzles and most of the interesting bits being conversation-driven. The world is neat and the premise is pretty cool, along with some things it does on a mechanical aspect. I wish more games could "reach outside" of themselves in the same way because if you took that, and added some actual gameplay to it, it'd be really cool.
