there is no goal for this game. you cant get out you cant even conquer anything of value. you can make some autism fort that lags the game of anyone who walks by. Performance and Tech fixes

• Fixes to loading screens
• Server Performance Fixes
• NPCs should be less jittery when rotating
• A fix for connecting to servers via the Steam server browser and when using Steamconnect
• Buildings should now load in much faster
• Placeables placed on foundations and ceiling tiles will now be saved correctly
• Several improvements to how rocks behave when they are harvested

General Bug Fixes and improvements

• Small Placeables will no longer claim land (!)
• NPC Camps now have their own land claim to prevent people from building so close to them that they stop spawning NPCs (!!)
• You should no longer get phantom duplicates in the wheel of pain
• T2 Altars should no longer disappear

Balance and Gameplay Fixes

• Some feat requirements have been simplified or removed. For example, it is now possible to learn Journeyman Craftsman as soon as you hit level 10. Due to the impact of this change all players have gotten a free feat respec.
• Ansel will now respect collision preventing people from moving through walls and other structures
• Non Admins will be restricted to 2 meters of movement when using Ansel
• Balance pass on Bows. Simple Bow range has been increased, Hyrkanian Bow range has been dramatically increased. Crossbow range has been reduced but they now shoot much faster
• We have done an overhaul on what monsters can damage which tier of buildings. If you haven’t upgraded from sandstone you might want to think about doing that.
• Increased crafting XP across the board with greater increases for crafting more complex (higher tier) items
• Inverted Wooden Roof Wedge and Stonebrick Frame now require Journeyman Craftsman instead of Master Craftsman
• Black rocks in the starting desert are now harvestable
• Higher grade tools will now yield higher amounts of secondary resources (Bark/branches)
• Resetting your Knowledge Points will no longer cause you to lose your selected religion
• Removed Corruption sources from starting area caves
• Removed the Regen component from Purified Meat. This perk is reserved to Mitra's Ambrosia and Healing Potions. Purified Meat is still an extremely good food source
• Player corpses can only be harvested for religious purposes once every 30 minutes
• Balance pass on the amount of materials requires for basic chemistry potions
• Armor drops removed from chests
• Emus will now give less XP

Visual Improvements

• The Dogs of the Desert finally got their uniform shipment and will be donning their new outfits
• Visual adjustment to the Medium Tasset to reduce clipping issues
• Visual adjustments to the Setite Choker and Shendyt to reduce clipping issues
• Updated Cutlass and Falcata icons
• Visual flair added to several hairstyles
• Visual improvements to female heads

there is no culling of blocked triangles so each foundation will always have all its sides even if they are blocked. wich would be "fine" if they dident have so many fucking triangles. they arnt jsut textured cubes they have complex geometry for no fucking reason. witch gets to be a problem whenever somone makes a fucking tower or mega fort or big ass wall. there are just to manny building parts each with there own special snowflake geometry beond function and there is only so much you can do as far as "asthetics" goes with the prefab block "pallet" even minecraft shit ends up looking better than the fucking monstrosities that are made in this game. but muh fucking textures witch is all that the extra geomatry does would be better for a bump map or just a fucking not shit hand drawn texture.

You can take a look at the Steam workshop, this game has a lot of potential for modding and apparently model swaps aren't particularly hard to do. It's UE4 after all.

I just tried this game out and the combat is fucking abysmal. I was attacking one of the npcs with a stone sword and it felt like I was slapping a statue. Worse still, the fucking IMPS have more reach than me with their stubby arms even when I'm using a sword! Just seems like generic slap and splat so far, no strategy just mindless swinging – I tried blocking when I had a shield and it broke almost instantly.

Apart from that seems like quite a nice premise.. What else is there to make up for this glaring fault in the first 30 minutes or so?

Well dodgy combat aside there is something about this game that is certainly alluring, even if it is ((((early access)))). And it's certainly a relief to hear that they know the dodgy combat is an issue. If they made it more like m&b and made characters react to the impact of a blow that would be cool. The entire point of Crom in the game is that he's for people who don't want anything to do with the religious system. He sits on top of his high mountain and laughs at the world, and doesn't answer prayers. There shouldn't BE a stat bonus, because Crom doesn't grant favors, save the smugness of knowing that you are your own man. If anything, picking up another faith should remove Crom - except that Crom doesn't even do anything except give you fluff if you're the type of fag who likes to RP.

Detailed human sacrifice is coming at some point, I have no doubt that we'll be able to knock players out and drag them to the altar eventually.

As for invulnerable mesas, we're getting siege equipment in the future as well. I'm sure that will include ladders.

currently the only "siege equipment" (in the game files) is a broken/incomplete trebuchet. witch is grossly out of place. both for the time period (do to you know the advanced math necessary to you know aim the thing.) and the fact that it is going to be a bitch to use. i'm sure the fuckers at funcom are trying to make some sort of interface that makes it not crap. but the moment you can build ladders that are not crap no defense will work.

all this while the ballista is given no love. strait up easier to use if you can make a cross bow you should be able to scale it up a bit. i mean fuck think of the cluster fuck that the trebuchet is going to be vs just point and fire ballista but no trebushet is memeing right the fuck now so fuck it lets add one in.

i think this server has run its course. i think we should go as a group and ruin other servers. Destroy their fortifications, drive their tribe before us and screen cap their lamentations. on a 10x EXP server we should be able to hit level 30 in a matter of hours especially if we group up the moment we get the gear together to raid we will be self sufficient as far as resources go assuming we can find enough targets. we can scatter around 3x3 forts on top of mesas for resupply and crafting. with a solid core group we could ruin so many peoples fun. it will be great.

well the noob bases are constantly raided by people the moment that they get to iron tec and with the shitshow between the kangs and Nate kahn ended up producing an environment where people just raid whatever they can. and then quit whenever they get raided. also a number of kangs got to level 50 and realized that nothing really matters. hell even the admin left after his autism fort got wreaked. and the kangs where going to set up slave markets/ a market but with the constant looting no one really wants to trade.

tbh I just got busy with other games and a bunch of IRL shit being dropped on my head. Plus I got pretty sick of the bugs.

If you wanted, I could do a relaunch - up capacity to 40 or so, roll back region locks if you want to smash BRs, and change name so people will think it's new.

The server doesn't get updates, it's the copy that got "accidentally" released without Denuvo. We're stuck on a very early version.
