That doesn't matter, we're talking about net gross, the average console game costs 40 to 60 dollars while premium solitaire is 60 dollars if you upgrade for 6 fucking years which I doubt people will even do.
Same can be said for shit like Angry Birds, yes, its number of downloads greatly outnumber every traditional console series ever, but each copy is only 99 cents. I doubt they made nearly as much money
The studio did research. If you are willing to do some horrible shit there is money to be made. They saw what will sell and they did it.
And those weren't that good either. The industry is completely bankrupt of creativity and the don't care, they can not survive the internet taking all the interest away from them and they know it.
