Tl;dr project was dying for a long time due to a dried-up talent pool on Holla Forums, infighting over irrelevant details or some people refusing to budge on minutia. Holla Forums (mark included) acts betrayed after inability or refusal to help on Holla Forums results in A&CP devs asking other sites (4chan included) for help. Haven't heard from the project since, myself.
