Hey Holla Forums

Yes its worth it. Don't forget that a PC has more purposes than just video games.

PC has a higher entry cost, but you'll end up saving money in the long run over consoles.

You could be right, but the general consensus appear to be on the cheaper built that can handle almost everything nowadays.

Also I dont do rendering or other heavy CPU works so it would be really just power for videogame, and if its not used then its money lost.

Why the hate on the PS4 ?

refer to logical increments. Get an Intel CPU, Nvidia GPUs are better supported by developers, buy cheap, used even like from ebay. Look up benchmarks for games you want to play on the hardware you're considering buying. Chances are it will run the games perfectly fine. You can get a $600-700 PC and it'll be fine for years. You may want to wait a few weeks, AMD's releasing their competitor CPU and it may drive prices down for Intel hardware.

A lot of PC purists have weird hateboners on things for no real reason. I just hope you don't end up like that.

I'm having the same issue. I just lost my hard drive on a 2013 gayman laptop and decided to just work 100e for a new one instead of getting a 800-1000 good laptop, because I've noticed that I've been mostly playing non-fancy indie shit for the last few years or classics or emulating handhelds and 90s consoles. Graphics aren't that important, performance more so, but I can't really think of many games that take a toll that I'd like to play.

anyway thanks you all for the opinions.

What are you even on about, do the good ones have a resolution lock?

You got me worng. I meant that there is no new AAA title with proper gameplay, proper tits and polygon number. Japanese bouncy boobs physic would be nice too.

I feel you, lately I was playing .io games and I realized how much I was falling in misery. Also with a good computer I will be able to play dorf fortress for longer befor death by FPS.

Just wait until you have enough games to justify upgrading. At least wait until Zen comes out, because processors should be a little cheaper. You don't really need a gaming PC to play most PC games, just the graphically intensive ones.
Don't get the PS4 unless you're absolutely sure it's worth it. It's not that it's bad, you can just get better consoles for cheaper.

Whats a good GPU thats still compatible with 6pin power supplies? Mine don't do 8 pin.

I got a Nvidia 1050 ti, and it's more than adequate at handling new games. I tested out the RE7 demo at max settings, and it runs just fine. And that costs about 150-160$. So yeah, lower end isn't a problem.

RAM is cheap, Hard Drives are cheap. Solid State Drives are kind of expensive, which is why I would suggest getting a cheaper SSD for your OS and favorite programs/games, and use an HD for the rest.

Don't skimp out on the power supply, though. Bad ones can explode.
