You have to slog through the duty finder for hard modes AND do like 100 inane fetch quests that amount to basically nothing

just do the MSQ for now user. you'll get around to most "hard" dungeons eventually, if only to unlock the various roulettes. about half the dungeons you have to do are story-based, and the other half are optional.

Just keep grinding. There's some good shit in store even before you hit HW. MSQ is menial for quite a while though. Do Hildibrand quests. They're great and feature Ultros and Gilgamesh.

There were actually a few people in one of the UNNAMED FCs that ditched the game right there due to that. That was too much for quite a few guys after being told for 40-60 hours that it gets better.

The level 50 dungeons are almost all optional. Don't do them unless you really want to. Tam Tara Hard is fucking neato.

You beat the tutorial. Everything up to now was the tutorial. Just keep following the MSQ. 2.1-some time mid 2.3 slows down, with a lot of fucking around doing bullshit, but it eventually picks up and doesn't stop. Heavensward is almost completely devoid of fucking around along the MSQ.

Pretty good length with multiple trials and plenty of laughs.
