I tell them that's just capitalist propaganda, they just add up all the deaths caused by wars or famines or whatever and say it was communism that directly killed those people. If you do the same to capitalism, you'll see that the numbers are actually much higher, just as pic related and suggests. If they still refuse to accept the facts, I just say that it's a shame communism didn't kill you.

No point in engaging with people who are entrenched in ideology.
