If by socdem you mean the currently existing socdem parties which have completely abandoned socialist principles and embraced right-wing policies, then there is plenty wrong.
If you mean a social democrat in its original meaning, which is reformist socialism, then it's alright, but how many people use it in this meaning? I'm a socialist but I don't really buy the revolution/evolution distinction.
